Chapter 242 The Missing Harry and Ron

Luna, holding the discordant note, read aloud to everyone in her ethereal voice:

To be honest, this episode of "Singing the Quibbles" had a pretty good storyline; it's more interesting to read as a novel for the curious.

William almost remembered that he used to buy "Story Club" magazine every week in his previous life.

Soon, Cedric and Cho started arguing again, and they only stopped arguing when the food cart came by.

It seems Cedric is really unhappy with Lockhart.

Everyone started sampling various snacks and exchanging Chocolate Frog cards.

"Where did Harry go?" William asked in surprise.

"Getting lost on a train?" This was the first time Annie had ever encountered someone so directionally challenged.

“He wasn’t lost,” Ginny explained. “I was the third to last one to go through the wall and onto the platform. Harry was right behind me; he couldn’t possibly be lost.”

"You didn't even notice that one person was missing?" Cedric asked, puzzled.

Ginny blushed and said, "We arrived rather late today. When we got to the station, the train was about to leave in five minutes."

Everyone rushed onto the train without even saying goodbye. Once on board, I realized Harry wasn't there.

"They might have gone to other carriages. Have you searched all of them?" Qiu asked.

"Not yet, it's just a few of us looking, we've only searched a little over half of the carriage..." Ginny suddenly stopped.

She stared wide-eyed, puzzled. "Where's Ron?"

Fred: "..."

George: "..."

The twins coughed, somewhat speechless.

Ron may not have much presence, but he's still Ginny's brother, so we can't just ignore him, right?

So insulting!

"Shall we all go look for it together?" Luna suggested excitedly, no longer staring at the Boba Tea.

She loves this kind of game of finding people the most.

"That would take forever to find," William shook his head.

"William, do you have any good ideas?" Hermione asked.

"Of course wizards use magic," William said matter-of-factly.

He looked at Fred and asked, "Did you bring a Niffler?"

"Of course, I always carry this little guy with me." Fred quickly pulled a large thing out of his robe.

It squeaked and chirped, seemingly a little shy with so many people staring at it.

"Let's go to the car door."

William stood up and led everyone through the corridor to the car door.

As they walked down the corridor, they quickly attracted the attention of many students.

A group of people followed, thinking that Akali's Secret Shop had released some new products again.

William ignored the onlookers and pointed his wand at the ground.

"Traces become visible."

This is the train entrance. If Harry and Ron were on the train, there would definitely be traces of them.

There's no need to search each carriage individually; that would be too time-consuming.

A wisp of golden smoke billowed from the wand, illuminating traces of recent magical activity on the train.

"Niffler, come here." William waved his wand again, and the Niffler in Fred's hand flew over.

"Find it, hurry up and find it," William ordered.

Sniffle sniffed and kept searching for traces on the ground, like a police dog.

Soon, Neville's golden form appeared; he was anxiously searching for Rafer.

But the toad was perched on his shoulder.

Then, Malfoy appeared, and behind him, a girl named Pansy was hiding.

Pansy grabbed a stick from somewhere and slammed it hard on Malfoy's head, then dragged him toward a carriage.

William was no longer interested in finding Harry and Ron; instead, he wanted to go to that carriage and check it out.

A well-trained adult Niffler can easily find clues, but Fred's has never been trained and is clearly not very capable.

It searched for several minutes, circling around a few glittering footprints, before finally shaking its head, confirming that there was no trace of Harry and Ron.

The two of them didn't even get on the car.
