A Certain Magical Hogwarts

Chapter 235 Annie's Wand

Chapter 235 Annie's Wand

Persuaded by William, Hermione decided to first approach the house-elves at Hogwarts and change their minds.

A letter of advice to Dumbledore is also essential, as it will help improve the elves' living conditions.

A week later, the school sent a new letter containing a list of new books they needed to buy for the new semester.

Lockhart has clearly formed a strategic partnership with Hogwarts, as there are a whopping seven of his books in the collection.

He included most of his books on the required reading list for school students.

William did not believe Lockhart would stay in school for seven years.

Putting aside the particular curse that prevents Lockhart from being so awesome... just from their correspondence, the other party has more of a businessman's temperament than the professor.

He agreed to become a professor at Hogwarts in order to boost book sales and, incidentally, further increase his fame.

Such a person will not teach at a school for more than a year, otherwise it will affect his ability to make money.

Of course, after leaving the company, he'll probably publish a book called "Lockhart's Days at Hogwarts" to make a quick buck.

What surprised William the most was that Lockhart was actually a graduate of Ravenclaw College.

The Defense Against the Dark Arts professor for three consecutive years has been a Ravenclaw student... Dumbledore seems to be targeting my country, the United States.

A few days later, William took Hermione and Anne to Diagon Alley.

The three of them stood in front of the large fireplace.

Anne pinched a pinch of glittering powder from the jar, walked to the fireplace, and tossed it into the flames. She walked straight into the fire and shouted, "Diagon Alley!"

They disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Floo powder was invented by Ignesea Wildsmith, who was also a Ravenclaw alumna.

However, after her death, Floo powder became public property, controlled by official agencies, and was a monopoly.

Currently, there is only one licensed manufacturer of Filob in the UK; any other seller is engaging in illegal activities.

Of course, with the intention of squeezing out the market and preventing piracy, its price has never changed in a hundred years, always remaining at 2 scoops per spoonful.

This is just like that unchanging "happy water" (a popular soft drink).

Soon, Hermione and Anne left, and William picked up a pinch of the glittering powder, walked to the fireplace, and threw the powder into the flames.

He felt as if he had been sucked into a giant water pipe, his body spinning rapidly... The whooshing sound around him was deafening...

A moment later, he stood in front of a stone fireplace in a wizard's shop.

People were coming and going in Diagon Alley, constantly crowding and moving forward.

Because it was too crowded, William had to hold one person in each hand to prevent Hermione and Anne from getting separated.

"What should we buy first?" Hermione asked, looking up at her.

"My wand, my wand!" Anne cried impatiently.

William nodded and led the two toward the Ollivander shop.

Diagon Alley has more than just Ollivanders wand shop, but people generally recognize the established brand.

After the three entered the shop, the wind chimes on the door began to tinkle.

Cedric was climbing a ladder to examine the old wands he had accumulated over the years, preparing to take advantage of the summer vacation to buy a batch of his stock.

Mr. Ollivander sat in a chair and drank tea.

"Welcome." Cedric smiled when he saw William and the other two.

To be honest, it won't be easy for Cedric to steal business from Ollivander after graduation.

Of course, he could use his good looks to attract rich women to buy his magic wand.

These people might buy dozens at a time, so the quantity is guaranteed. The only drawback is that it consumes a lot of Liuwei Dihuang Pills (a traditional Chinese medicine).

William attracted a large number of Hogwarts customers simply because of his good looks, didn't he?

Who doesn't have a few female classmates with stories to tell?

Making money is nothing to be ashamed of!

Ollivander stood up. "Welcome, Mr. Stark, it's nice to see you again."

I still remember the wand you bought two years ago; it feels like it was just yesterday.

"It's twelve and three-quarters inches long, made of cherry wood, and makes a fine magic wand. I'm glad you can wear it to receive the Order of Merlin."

"Miss Granger is different. She has a wand made of grapevine wood, and the owners of such wands are almost always those with lofty pursuits and extraordinary vision."

Ollivander begins by displaying an amazing memory, followed by a torrent of flattery, making those who have bought the wand feel like they're floating on air.

After praising her, Mr. Ollivander glanced at Anne again.

"Alright, Miss Stark, come here. Let me see." He pulled a long measuring tape with silver markings from his pocket.

Ollivander acted quickly, and then had Cedric produce a large number of wands.

But he was not satisfied with any of them.

"Oh, a picky customer!" Ollivander pulled out his usual deceptive rhetoric again.

William and Hermione looked at each other and exchanged a glance.

Ollivander did the same thing when the two came to buy wands.

"A discerning customer, huh? No problem, we always have the perfect match here... Here it is, an exceptional combination: cedar wood, ptarmigan tail feathers, eleven inches long. Excellent, and quite flexible."

Anne took the wand and felt a sudden heat at her fingertips. She raised the wand high above her head, and an arc of electricity flashed, crackling through the air.

Cedric put Anne's wand into the box, wrapped it in brown paper, and Ollivander kept muttering, "Isn't this a coincidence...isn't this a coincidence..."

Anne looked at Ollivander with a puzzled expression.

"I remember every wand I make. The core of this wand came from a thunderbird named Frank, Mr. Scamander's pet."

He participated in the operation to capture the Dark Lord Grindelwald.

I believe, my child, that you will also be outstanding and achieve great things in the future.

Annie's eyes sparkled; she had already set her sights on capturing the first Dark Lord.

When she grows up, she can capture Grindelwald... and be placed under the care of the great Dumbledore.

Anne didn't know that handing him over to the headmaster wasn't a good idea, because he might resort to excessive torture: whips, handcuffs, candles, binding...

How cruel!

William didn't think too much about it; instead, he studied Ollivander's sales techniques.

Ollivander is the real master salesman, hiding his true abilities. With his performance, which young wizard wouldn't believe they are the chosen one?!

They even wished they could punch Grindelwald and kick Voldemort.

No wonder Ollivander's wands are the best-selling in Europe; they have a strategy!

Fortunately, Ollivander wasn't from China, otherwise, with just a wand, he probably would have boasted about it to the point of obliterating the Great Dao.

After the three left, William took them to a pharmacy to replenish their medicine and then to Mrs. Malkin's shop to have robes made.

After walking around, the number of people in Diagon Alley increased.

William and his two companions sat outside Florin's Ice Cream Shop, eating creamy strawberry chocolate ice cream.

"You guys rest here for a bit, I'll be right back," William said after finishing his ice cream.

"Where are you going?" Hermione asked, puzzled.

"I need to go get something," William said, and walked away into the distance.

The items he ordered from the blog-Bojin store have arrived.
