A Certain Magical Hogwarts
Chapter 231 Ron's Breadcart Mindset
Chapter 231 Ron's Breadcart Mindset (Bonus chapter for "Hellcat" author!)
The three chatted for a while longer when suddenly an object flew in through the window and hit Fred on the head.
Those were two goblins, bound together by vines.
Goblins, also known as garden goblins, are magical creatures.
Goblins are among the few creatures that Muggles have ever seen. Muggles have even made a statue of them that looks like a little Santa Claus carrying a fishing rod.
But goblins are much uglier. They can be up to a foot tall, with brown bodies and disproportionately large heads, making them look like potatoes with legs.
Strictly speaking, goblins are magical creatures that are harmful to wizards.
They live in underground caves known as "Goblin Caves," where they constantly dig, eat plant roots, and leave the ground covered with small mounds and pits.
Since moving into his house, William has encountered several groups of goblins in the yard, and once he discovered them stealing grapes from the yard.
William placed some insect repellent containing mink fur, and the goblins dared not come.
The groundhog is the natural enemy of the goblin.
Fred stretched out his arms and held up two goblins, which kicked and thrashed at him with their calloused little feet. He grabbed the goblins by the ankles and lifted them upside down.
"Let us go!"
"You despicable bastard, if you dare, fight me one-on-one!"
The goblin kept shouting and began swinging his arms in large circles like he was swinging a lasso.
Fred had just been hit on the head by a goblin, who also bit him.
With a flick of his wrist, he tossed it out the window.
The three people peering out the window were Hermione, Anne, and Ginny.
They were playing in the garden, and Anne was teaching Ginny how to play golf.
She somehow produced a fishing net, wrapped it around a stick, and then used the net to catch the goblin.
The goblins weren't very intelligent; they all ran out of the cave and watched as their companion was driven out, then pointed and laughed.
Annie swung her stick, and the goblin slid down the grass, crashing into two goblins who were watching the spectacle, and tumbled into the cave with them.
"Beautiful! Hole-in!" Annie waved.
Ginny happily clung to Annie's side; she had no idea when she had become Annie's biggest fan.
As for Hermione... she's someone Anne can't subdue; she usually treats her as a class enemy and targets her with a full-scale attack.
The three men kept swinging their sticks and quickly drove all the goblins out of the garden.
Soon, the group of goblins returned, carrying twigs and luggage, and walked away in a sparse line.
He was still cursing as he left.
"They'll come back," Fred said.
"Dad is too lenient with the goblins. Last time, all the potatoes in the field were eaten."
Just then, a window on the second floor opened, and a face popped out. The person wore glasses with horn rims and looked very impatient.
"Hey, can you guys be quiet!" Percy complained. "Fred, you two..."
Upon realizing it wasn't Fred and George, he immediately shut up and awkwardly greeted his sister, Anne, and Hermione.
Fred turned his head and said angrily, "Percy, can you please stop suspecting us about everything!"
"Hello, Percy," William waved.
"Oh, hello, William." Percy awkwardly ignored Fred.
"You know, I'm studying here."
Percy closed the window again.
"What happened to Percy?" William asked. "Did he not do well on his exam?"
"No, he got his exam results yesterday, twelve certificates, but I didn't see him being particularly smug." George shrugged. "Percy has been acting strangely lately."
OwLs represents the standard wizarding level exams. Although not all of them are O's, twelve certificates already put one at the level of a super-achiever.
Percy will likely become the second boy in the Weasley family to become student council president, after Bill.
William seems to know why Percy is unhappy.
He remembered the last Quidditch match where Penelope and a few Gryffindor students made a bet on who would win.
In the end, Ravenclaw defeated Slytherin to advance to the final, which seemed to include Percy, who had lost all his allowance and was in debt.
No wonder you're unhappy.
Mr. Weasley returned shortly afterward, and everyone went to the kitchen for dinner.
Mr. Weasley slumped wearily in a kitchen chair, took off his glasses, and closed his eyes.
He was wearing a long green robe and looked travel-worn.
"Are you working overtime tonight?" Mrs. Weasley asked as she served the dishes.
"Working overtime, probably another all night!" he muttered, reaching for the teapot.
"I reckon we'll have to raid nine more houses tonight. I've been keeping an eye on that old guy Mundungus Fletcher for a long time..." Mr. Weasley took a big gulp of tea and sighed.
"There's no need to work so hard, Dad," George said with concern. "We've taken care of Ginny's textbooks and all her daily necessities, so you don't need to worry about it."
"Yes, you don't need to take responsibility for ours either," Fred nodded.
Ron sat next to him, eating his sausage unhappily.
Why is it that Ginny gets to buy everything, while he gets nothing?
"Oh, you two are so thoughtful." Mrs. Weasley patted the twins' hair. "It's too long, isn't it? Shall I trim it for you tonight?"
The two hurriedly shook their heads.
"William, could you take a look at my car later? The concealer isn't working well, but I can't find the problem."
Mr. Weasley whispered these words to Mrs. Weasley while she was making the soup.
"Car—a car, I think I hear a car? Arthur, darling?"
Mrs. Weasley strode in, her eyes blazing. "What are you up to now?"
"I won't open it. I just want to take it apart and see what's inside," Mr. Weasley quickly waved his hand, explaining, "It's purely a hobby, Molly. It's just this one interest of mine, you can't take it away from me!"
Mrs. Weasley glared at him.
After the meal, under Mrs. Weasley's watchful eye, Mr. Weasley hurriedly left again.
The twins then led William to a carport to inspect the car.
It was a light green Ford Anglia 105E luxury car, which was launched in 1959 and has long been discontinued.
I don't know where Mr. Weasley found it.
Moreover, the entire vehicle has been completely modified.
It looks like a normal car from the outside, but the inside is incredibly spacious.
"My mom didn't know my dad had used the Unseen Stretching Charm; she thought it was Muggle craftsmanship," Fred said smugly.
"But I still feel this car is too small, don't I?" Ron finally chimed in.
"I've heard that a good car is all about space; if a car isn't spacious, it's just an ordinary car," he commented with an air of authority.
William smiled and patted Ron on the shoulder.
"That's right, Ron, thank you for your bread truck thinking."
If Wuling Hongguang knew this news, its face would probably be all smiles.
