Chapter 4 Beginning

The next morning, amidst the lingering morning mist, a small figure stepped out of the house.

"Toshiro, why are you out so early today?" He encountered many early risers from his clan on the road. Some were busy working early to make a living. Others were exercising early like him. Whenever they met someone he knew, they would greet him with a friendly smile.

"Good morning, Uncle Tekki, getting ready to work out." Uchiha Toshiro didn't hesitate to return a big smile when greeted by his clansman's friendly greeting.

Standing at the entrance of the compound, gazing at the towering torii gate and the prominent Uchiha clan crest emblazoned upon it, he couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

"I didn't want to start preparing to become a ninja so early." But the Uchiha surname and the tragic fate to come forced him to work hard to become a ninja at an early age.

After internally complaining, Uchiha Toshiro began to jog slowly around the clan's territory.

It is now the spring of Konoha year 36. The Nine-Tails incident is still 12 years away. The Uchiha clan's territory is still located in the heart of Konoha. After all, they are the founding clan of Konoha, and it is only natural for them to occupy a piece of land in the center of Konoha.

Although the clan's settlement has become somewhat crowded over the years due to the increase in the number of members, and the clan members have repeatedly mentioned wanting to expand their settlement, they still find it difficult to expand. However, looking at the surrounding large and small clans that are packed full of people, as well as the functional departments of Konoha and the Hokage Building, they are still reluctant to do so.

"No matter the world, land in the city center is always incredibly valuable, and apartments are always hard to find!"

Extinguishing himself from the random thoughts, Uchiha Toshiro began to run seriously. Although his body was stronger than that of a four-year-old, it wasn't advisable to overdo it on his first training session.

Set a goal of 3 kilometers first. See how your body reacts. Then do some sit-ups, push-ups, and frog jumps.

"Take it one step at a time. Whether it's the third war or the night of annihilation after the third war, there's still plenty of time. There's no rush; haste makes waste."

An hour later, after jogging for nearly half an hour and resting, he did bodyweight exercises such as sit-ups, push-ups, and frog jumps. Exhausted, Uchiha Toshiro returned home with trembling legs.

Mika Uchiha had already prepared breakfast and was waiting for his return.

"You must be exhausted, Toshiro." After wiping the sweat off his face and neck with a hot towel that had been prepared beforehand, he handed him a small medicine bottle about the size of a fist.

"Apply the medicated oil to joints such as the knees and ankles, then rub it with your hands until it feels warm."

Following Uchiha Mika's instructions, after a flurry of activity, he looked up at her and asked.

"Is this medication used to relieve knee and ankle injuries?"

Unlike usual, she didn't help him. Uchiha Mika simply stood aside and watched quietly. Observing the young child's clumsy movements, she merely pointed out the correct way to apply the ointment.

"Toshiro wants to become a ninja, but these are just the first steps. Many more difficulties and hardships await you in the future."

"Mika-nee. I will keep going until I become strong, the strongest, and no one can defeat me!"

He didn't notice that the person next to him was referring to the strongest person, not the strongest ninja.

"Not bad. Well then, future strongest ninja, let's start eating now!"

He gave the child next to him a gentle pat on the head, then took the toddler's hand and walked towards the restaurant.

"This breakfast seems a little different today?" Uchiha Toshiro asked with some surprise as he looked at the breakfast on the table.

Two breakfasts were laid out on a tray on the table: bread, beef, carrots, greens, and tofu. Two cartons of milk were also present. Each dish was served in a small plate. The portions were small, but the presentation was exceptionally refined.

"Of course, becoming a ninja is no easy feat. It requires a lot of protein, vitamins, and minerals. And plenty of sleep and rest. You have a long way to go!"

"I'm starting!"

"Siguoyi, today's breakfast tasted amazing!"

Hearing Uchiha Toshiro's exaggerated praise, Uchiha Mika's beautiful eyes narrowed with a smile.

Although there was an element of flattery involved, the carefully prepared breakfast was well-received by the diners. All the effort had been worthwhile, so the minor lapse in politeness was overlooked.

"Hey, Toshiro, although you've started working hard to become a ninja, at your age, it's more important for you to have fun..."

"I know! I'll go out for a walk after resting for a while~"

"Your child is surprisingly well-behaved..." She seemed to sense a hint of reluctance in the child's words, but in the end, she decided to listen to her and go out.

"Is it because I'm afraid she'll worry?" Mika Uchiha wondered, looking at the portraits of her older sister and brother-in-law on the wall.

"I'm going out!" After finishing breakfast and resting for another half hour, Uchiha Toshiro, with his short legs, stepped out of the house once again.

Although today was my first workout, I trained for almost an hour. I also did exercises like sit-ups, push-ups, and frog jumps.

I've only had breakfast and rested for half an hour, and I've unexpectedly regained my energy. It seems this body is stronger than I imagined.

I don't know if it's because of the erosion of chakra generation after generation. The physical abilities of children in this world have increased dramatically, to an exaggerated degree.

Is it to make the body more adaptable to chakra energy? Or is it some kind of alternative bloodline limit? As far as I know, it seems that the longer the history of a ninja clan, the higher the proportion of ninjas born within that clan.

As he strolled through the family compound, responding to the adults' warm greetings, he pondered these questions in his mind.

The Uchiha clan members weren't as cold and cruel as I had imagined.

In Toshiro's original imagination, the Uchiha clan members were someone who would stop at nothing to awaken their Sharingan. They were a bloodthirsty and ruthless clan, killing their comrades, relatives, and friends.

However, after spending the last few days with her, both the attentive care she received from Uchiha Mika and the warm greetings from the clansmen he met along the way shattered his original expectations.

"Well, let's not jump to conclusions. Most of the clansmen we've met these past few days are ordinary people, with very few ninjas. We'll observe them more carefully as we get to know them better."

While wandering around, Uchiha Toshiro also saw several ninjas wearing green vests with red and white pool paddle crests tattooed on their backs. Although he didn't recognize any of them, they didn't look much different from ordinary people.

The Uchiha compound wasn't very large, after all, it was just one clan. We walked around for only a few minutes before reaching the end, and then we were back under that iconic red torii gate.
