Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin

Chapter 400, Section 394: My Soul Weapon Isn't So Easy to Get

Chapter 400, Section 394: My Horcruxes Aren't So Easy to Get

The waves crashed against the rocks, making a "whoosh" sound. The moonlight and the starry night sky were reflected on the sea surface, making it very bright.

A cool breeze blew by, bringing a touch of coolness. Lucius stood on a high, black rock protruding from the sea, with waves rolling beneath his feet, creating countless white bubbles.

Two other people stood beside him: Bellatrix and Voldemort.

They were standing on a cliff, the steep rock face plunging straight down, dark and indistinct, with no way of seeing anything below. All around was barren, jagged rocks, a desolate landscape; apart from the vast sea and rocks, there wasn't a single tree, let alone grass or sand.

This is a height that normal people cannot reach without using magic. Of course, it would also be possible to do so by flying a helicopter.

"Bellatrix, go and get a Muggle."

Voldemort said coldly, then pointed to a spot on the cliff and said, "If I remember correctly, there's a place that could barely be called a village halfway up those cliffs. Go there and grab any Muggle. Oh, and there's an orphanage nearby too."

When the orphanage was mentioned, a strange look flashed across Voldemort's face, but it disappeared in an instant.

"Yes, Master."

Bella was submissive to Voldemort, and she would obey any orders he gave her unconditionally.

"Lucius."

After Bella left, Voldemort said to Lucius beside him.

"You and Bellatrix are the people I trust most. I brought you here to tell you a secret."

He kept his eyes fixed on Lucius as he spoke, as if trying to see through him, but Lucius maintained the utmost respect for Voldemort from beginning to end.

Before long, Bella returned, dragging a trembling adult man with her.

"Let's go."

Voldemort raised his hand, and a cave appeared in front of them.

He led his men into the cave, where the temperature was vastly different from the outside; the word "bitterly cold" was the most fitting description.

All three were wizards, and a simple spell was all it took to keep them safe.

The man who was captured was in a terrible state; he was shivering from the cold, but no one paid any attention to him.

"Blood!"

As they reached the end, Voldemort pointed at the man, and a cut immediately appeared on the man's wrist, from which a torrent of blood flowed out.

As blood sprayed onto the rock wall, another cave appeared before them.

Ahead lay a large, black lake, in the center of which shimmered a hazy, emerald-green light.

Soon, Voldemort led his men to the center of the Black Lake.

A stone basin, resembling a meditation basin, sat there, filled with a full bowl of transparent liquid that shimmered with phosphorescence under the lush green light.

Voldemort conjured a cup, scooped some out, and handed it to the man who had been captured: "Drink it."

"Please, please, please let me go! Ah!"

He was greeted by a green light, the Crucible Curse.

"Don't you understand your master's command? Drink it!"

Having experienced the Crucifixion spell, the man dared not utter another complaint and quickly grabbed the cup, drinking it all in one gulp.

"Ah!" However, the liquid in the cup was not a good thing either, causing him to collapse to the ground, his whole body numb and convulsing.

"Keep letting him drink until it's all gone."

Bellatrix faithfully carried out Voldemort's orders, making the man drink cup after cup until the stone basin was empty, revealing the box underneath.

It was a gold pendant box.

However, the moment Voldemort saw the locket, his expression turned extremely ugly.

Unlike Helbo, the creator of the Horcruxes, who could sense his Horcruxes at any time, Voldemort, whose soul had been split too many times, could not pinpoint the exact location of his Horcruxes. Therefore, he brought his trusted followers here, intending to reveal his greatest secret to them and show off.

However, he discovered that the thing in front of him wasn't his Horcrux; someone had switched it! (Not being able to sense it doesn't mean he couldn't identify it.)

who is it?

Voldemort grabbed the locket and found a piece of paper underneath. He then opened it.

To the Dark Lord:

"I know I will be dead by the time you read this letter, but I want you to know that I discovered your secret, and I have taken the real Horcrux and destroyed it as soon as possible."

I would risk my life so that when you meet your destined opponent, you are merely a mortal of flesh and blood.

RAB

Humiliation, blatant humiliation. His Horcrux had been switched at some point. An unnamed rage surged within him, and Voldemort's eyes turned blood red once more, as if they were spitting fire.

"Master, what happened?"

Bella's voice brought Voldemort back to his senses from his rage.

The Horcrux was indeed stolen, but it doesn't seem to have been damaged.

"No, it's nothing."

Voldemort said calmly, having come up with a brilliant idea.

With a flick of his wrist, the paper strip turned to ashes. He then placed the fake pendant box into the stone basin, pointed his wand at the basin, and the transparent liquid filled it again.

This time, he didn't pour in the kind of potion that makes people wish they were dead, but a genuine poison.

A magical potion that can gradually cause someone to lose their magic and suffer organ failure, even if only a tiny amount is consumed.

Even a wizard as powerful as Dumbledore would die if he drank this potion.

Bella Lucius.

Voldemort asked his two loyal servants, "Do you know what Horcruxes are?"

He explained the function of the Horcrux to the two of them, and then he pointed to the stone basin and said.

"And inside is my Horcrux."

"I need you to find a way to leak this information to Dumbledore."

"Hasn't that guy always wanted to find my secret? Actually, he can vaguely guess it but can't be sure. So..."

"Just tell him! Let him come over."

"However, my Horcruxes are not so easy to obtain."

No one knows you better than your enemy. Dumbledore knew Voldemort very well, and Voldemort knew him very well as well.

Seeing that the ring he had thrown out earlier had not yet fooled Dumbledore, Voldemort was getting restless. He knew, of course, that these things couldn't be rushed, but that didn't stop him from digging another trap for Dumbledore.

Voldemort, who considered Dumbledore his greatest enemy, dreamed of killing him.

He casually pushed an ordinary villager who had drunk the potion into the Black Lake, and countless wraiths boiled and dragged him to the bottom of the lake.

Voldemort watched this scene as if he were seeing Dumbledore being dragged into an abyss.

I really want to know what Dumbledore thought when he went through all that trouble to get a fake Horcrux.

Thinking of this, Voldemort chuckled, and the two behind him laughed along, though they had no idea what Voldemort was laughing about.

This is just the first update for now. I received a last-minute notice last night that a high-ranking official is inspecting today; you know how it is.
