Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin
Chapter 399-393 The Aurors' Complete Victory
Chapter 399, Section 393: The Aurors' Complete Victory
In the garden near the Malfoy manor, several Death Eaters lay sprawled on the ravaged lawn, some clutching empty bottles, others lying beside them.
Some bottles still had some wine left inside, but it all flowed down the bottle necks and onto the ground.
The wines were all fine wines, from the Malfoy family collection, wines that even Lucius himself wouldn't dare drink more than a sip of.
It's mostly ruined now.
Since it's not my stuff, I don't care. I drink half and throw the other half away, and I have endless fun with it.
Some Death Eaters were having a barbecue party around a bonfire.
Because of Voldemort's prohibition, these Death Eaters could not easily leave Malfoy Manor, so Galleons inside the manor escaped death. However, the food stored in the manor was decreasing at a visible rate.
Even so, Lucius would most likely be heartbroken and weep upon seeing this scene.
"Help me!"
A terrified cry for help came from not far away. A man was blown up like a balloon and floated up and down in the sky.
The Death Eaters below laughed heartily at his comically terrified appearance, occasionally throwing small curses at him and laughing heartily amidst his screams.
That was a Muggle who had wandered into the manor by mistake. Well, to say he wandered in by mistake was actually to steal something from the manor, but he just happened to run into this group of vicious and bored Death Eaters.
The Death Eaters enjoy torturing Muggles, and now that they've finally found one who's come to them willingly, how could they let such a "toy" go? So the poor thief became a prop for their entertainment, leading to the scene before us.
"Where are Bellatrix and Lucius?"
Pushing open the door of the Malfoy mansion, a Death Eater hurriedly asked.
"The master took them away early in the morning, saying he was going to take care of something very important."
"Did they say when they'd be back?" the Death Eater pressed.
The answer they received was: "The master didn't say."
"What about Avery and his men?"
"Without Lucius, those people won't come here."
With Voldemort and Lucius gone, and no one to restrain them, the entire Malfoy Manor became a playground for these criminals released from Azkaban.
Lawlessness and unbridled behavior were the Death Eaters' guiding principles; it's no exaggeration to call them a bunch of complete lunatics.
With the rise of a red spell, the Death Eaters' revelry came to an abrupt end.
A group of uniformed Aurors rushed in through the gate and attacked the Death Eaters with one or more spells, rendering them unable to fight.
"Capture these Death Eaters!" Scrimgeour shouted, his eyes gleaming. He had thought this raid was a bad move that would give them ammunition, but he hadn't expected there to be Death Eaters at Malfoy Manor, and a large group at that.
Soon, a large number of Aurors flooded into Malfoy Manor. Because the event happened so suddenly, apart from a small number of Death Eaters who reacted and tried to retaliate with spells, many Death Eaters were captured the moment the Aurors rushed in.
Especially those who were drunk, they were still fast asleep when the Aurors tied them up with ropes, and they couldn't wake up at all.
"Haha, it's those Azkaban who escaped!"
Fudge shouted excitedly. Capturing this group of Death Eaters would not only restore the Ministry of Magic's reputation but also boost his own approval rating.
Unfortunately, his happy mood didn't last long.
The green spell landed not far from his feet, startling him so much that he immediately hid behind Percy.
"Protect Minister Fauci!"
Percy shouted immediately, and several quick-witted Aurors stood beside Fudge.
A flash of dark green light instantly claimed the life of a young Auror who was unable to dodge in time.
A hooded Death Eater stepped forward.
The Death Eaters' counterattack has begun.
"Kill all those Aurors."
Antonin Dolokhov, the Death Eater who led the assassination attempt on Amelia but failed and escaped, led a large number of Death Eaters out of Malfoy Manor. He was accompanied by a group of elites such as Rodolphus Lestrange, Rabastan, and Yaxley.
A true expert's skill is immediately apparent; spells of various colors flew everywhere like missiles, and the bizarre and unpredictable black magic was impossible to defend against. It not only halted the Aurors' advance but also forced them into a series of defeats.
It's hard to believe that the Aurors are actually at a disadvantage in terms of numbers.
After all, it was the prison of the entire Azkaban prison (set as the place where the most heinous criminals in Europe were imprisoned), and the number of criminals was so large that it was terrifying (some of them were dark wizards who were not Death Eaters, but they were also brought in to join). The group of Death Eaters outside was just the tip of the iceberg.
"Oh no!" Scrimgeour realized something was wrong.
They caught the enemy off guard with a surprise attack; if they had waited for the enemy to organize their forces, they would have been in danger.
"Chief Scrimgeour, get the Aurors using that!"
Percy immediately shouted to Commander Scrimgeour.
John Dexter, the elite Auror who was at the forefront, was once again defeated by the opponent's curse in a one-on-one duel, causing the morale of the front to plummet. If they didn't do something soon, they would only be waiting to lose.
Upon hearing Percy's words, Scrimgeour realized something was wrong and immediately "revealed" his trump card.
"Yes, everyone, don't panic, quickly drink the potion."
At Scrimgeour's shouts, the Aurors reacted and pulled out their vials, drinking them down in one gulp.
"What is that?"
Antonin Dolokhov frowned as he watched the Aurors' actions. Normally, these Aurors would start planning their retreat if they couldn't win, but now they were drinking something, which made him realize something was amiss.
Just as he was still wondering, the situation on the field changed again.
Those Aurors who drank the potion experienced a significant improvement in speed, reaction time, and perception.
As if reborn, each of them transformed into a little superhero. What should have been a 50/50 one-on-one duel turned into a battle where the opponent dodged the curse and they were knocked down instead.
Even when two people are fighting one person, the opponent nimbly dodges and successfully counterattacks.
In general, battles between wizards rely most on reaction speed and reaction time. Even if one lacks experience, quick reflexes can compensate for it. In the eyes of the Aurors, the Death Eaters' movements are as if they have been put on slow motion.
A sudden reversal.
"The effects of the Bravestard serum are truly amazing."
Scrimgeour marveled at the potion's power.
He also drank a bottle and easily knocked down a Death Eater.
"Withdraw!" Antonin Dolokhov shouted decisively when he saw that the situation was hopeless.
Although he was violent, he was cunning by nature, and his first reaction when things went wrong was naturally to retreat.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have been the only one to return.
There's no need to waste time here before figuring out the other side's strength. As for abandoning the other Death Eaters, the Ministry of Magic won't kill them even if they capture them; they'll just imprison them in another place and rescue them later.
Apart from Antonin leading a portion of the Death Eaters to escape, the rest of the Death Eaters were captured after the Aurors took the drug.
Big win.
Fudge's smile was as bright as a blooming chrysanthemum.
