Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin

Chapter 381 375 Fudge, do you want to be a dictator?

Chapter 381, Chapter 375: Fudge, do you want to be a dictator? (Please vote!)

Fudge was speechless after being bombarded with a series of questions. He had been so focused on collecting evidence of Dumbledore's crimes that he hadn't really thought about how to deal with it.

And conviction

To convict Dumbledore using an educational decree signed only by himself and Umbridge.

It's really impossible to decide.

"You want to build an army to fight the Ministry of Magic; you want to overthrow me!"

Fudge shouted stiffly, his face ashen.

He had to strongly label Dumbledore as someone who was building a private army.

"Connelly, I think you might have misunderstood something?"

This blatant accusation could be easily refuted by Dumbledore in a few words: "You think I'm planning to use a bunch of children against the Ministry of Magic? Do you think anyone would believe that?"

You could say that Dumbledore colluded with the merfolk in an attempt to overthrow the Ministry of Magic and people would believe it. At least during last year's Triwizard Tournament, we saw that he had a good relationship with the merfolk leader.

But to insist that he used lesser wizards to form an army to fight against the Ministry of Magic is even more absurd than a few goblins plotting to take over the wizards' homes.

Is there no one who can punish Dumbledore?

Just as Fudge was beginning to despair, Dumbledore suddenly changed the subject.

"However, you are right about one thing: I do want to overthrow you."

These words were like a ray of hope, which lifted Fudge's spirits.

"Look, look! You finally told the truth! Percy, did you write it down?!"

Fudge shouted loudly outside the door.

"I've written it down, Minister."

Percy's serious voice came through.

"What's the point of Cornelius writing this down? I want to overthrow you, not the Ministry of Magic."

Dumbledore's words stunned Fudge once again, a bad feeling spreading through his body. Dumbledore's next words confirmed his premonition.

"Yes, Cornelius, I want to run for Minister of Magic."

"I've thought it through. You're not suitable to be Minister for Magic, whether in terms of ability or anything else. You don't have the qualifications. It was clearly a mistake to agree to put you in that position."

"Instead of letting you run around making a mess of the Ministry of Magic, it's better to just remove you from that position and replace you with a capable wizard. Look at what you've done all these years? I can't say you've done nothing, but you've accomplished absolutely nothing."

"No, you can't!"

Fudge's voice trembled as he spoke, unable to discern whether he was afraid or excited.

Everything he did was to prove that Dumbledore wanted to overthrow him, but when it was actually proven, he refused to accept it.

In truth, he always believed that Dumbledore wouldn't want the position of Minister of Magic, which is why he repeatedly challenged Dumbledore's bottom line and tested him time and time again.

Because he knew Dumbledore wouldn't. Good people should point guns at each other.

However, unexpectedly, Dumbledore was persuaded, and Fudge was the one who set things on fire; it was entirely Fudge's own doing.

"Why not? Anyone can run for Minister of Magic. I can. Dolores can. Drax can. Shackles can too."

Dumbledore then called out a few more names.

"Even if I wanted to run for Minister of Magic, what's the problem?"

"Is this a crime?"

"Are you trying to stop me from running for office?"

"Are you going to lock up everyone else who's also running for Minister of Magic?"

"Do you want to become a dictator in the wizarding world?"

Overthrowing Fudge and overthrowing the Ministry of Magic are two different concepts. In the history of the Ministry of Magic, there have been many ministers of magic who have been overthrown. For example, there were two ministers during the Solar Earth era.

"You are the Headmaster of Hogwarts! Hogwarts cannot do without you!"

Fudge was completely defeated by Dumbledore's words, and he no longer cared about holding anyone accountable. He just wanted everything that had happened today to be an illusion, a dream.

What a terrible day!

Now you realize Dumbledore was the headmaster?

Why didn't you think of that when you were forcing him to abdicate?

Weren't you just threatening to put them in jail? Why are you backing down now?

If you try to kill a snake, you'll get bitten. It's only because the target was Dumbledore that Fudge attacked; if it were someone else with a bad temper, like Professor Grindelwald, Fudge would have been killed long ago.

"Professor McGonagall will be an excellent successor."

Dumbledore wasn't the indecisive type, and since he had already decided to run for Minister of Magic, he wouldn't hesitate any longer.

He has even chosen the next principal; it's clear he's made up his mind.

"Cornelly, this is the joint signature of twelve board members. Ms. Umbridge is completely unfit to be a professor at Hogwarts."

As he spoke, Dumbledore pulled a parchment from his pocket. It was covered with dense writing, and in the most prominent column were the signatures of twelve people.

The main reason he was late was to get the school board members to sign off on things.

The school board members were unwilling to stand up to Fudge directly, but with Dumbledore willing to step forward, they were quite willing to embarrass Fudge, especially with that person's approval.

"I think it's time to say goodbye."

He stuffed the parchment into Fudge's hand.

"Furthermore, since you are her direct supervisor, I will report her recent abuse of students to the International Federation of Wizards so that she can be tried in a public trial in Wizengamot."

"Determine if she is a Death Eater!"

If Fudge's words had excited him, then Dumbledore's words now really got Umbridge fired up.

"I am innocent!" Umbridge roared.

Unfortunately, no one paid any attention to her.

She panicked, she really panicked. If anyone else had convicted her, she would have just taken it as a joke and not worried, but Dumbledore was different. Only then did Umbridge remember Dumbledore's identity.

Former President of the International Confederation of Wizards, Chief Wizard of Wizengamot, current Headmaster of Hogwarts, recipient of the Order of Merlin First Class, and the greatest white wizard of the 20th century. Now, add to that a strong contender for Minister of Magic.

There is at least an 80% chance that she can be convicted.

She's definitely not a Death Eater!

Only at this moment did she understand the feelings of those wizards she had wronged.

"Is there anything else? Hogwarts is not open to the public. I think unauthorized personnel from outside the school may leave now."

Dumbledore then ordered the group to leave.

Despite Dumbledore's ever-smiling demeanor, the white-bearded old man can be quite intimidating when he gets serious.

Fudge led Umbridge and the Aurors away from Hogwarts in a dejected manner, and the campus erupted in deafening cheers that almost lifted the castle up, all celebrating Umbridge's departure.

Dumbledore said helplessly, "I think I'm going to have to worry about our Defense Against the Dark Arts professorship again."
