Was Umbridge a Death Eater? No.

She had absolutely no connection with the Death Eaters; she was a pure member of the Ministry of Magic.

However, she might be even more detestable than some Death Eaters.

Because of those Death Eaters, Fudge's reputation has plummeted, and Umbridge, as Fudge's confidant, has naturally been affected.

Therefore, she hated Dumbledore for arresting the Death Eaters, Rufus Scrimgeour, the Auror's Office Director, and the meddlesome Harry Potter (although the real one was Dudley).

Looking at that fat face, Harry finally understood why Hermione had been so angry.

This person's ability to distort the truth has reached an outrageous level; he's practically lying through his teeth.

If conditions allowed, he really wanted to cast a curse on her.

Just as Harry was about to speak, Umbridge interrupted, "Mr. Potter, you've already cost your house ten points. Don't make things any worse."

Then she said in a threatening tone.

"Next time it'll be confinement."

In truth, Umbridge secretly hoped that Harry would be provoked by him; she said that on purpose to get Harry locked up in solitary confinement.

"Gryffindor gets ten points, Ms. Umbridge. I don't think we should lose points for this."

Yet another person spoke in her class without raising their hand. Umbridge was furious, but she immediately changed her expression after seeing who the person was.

"Oh, it's Mr. Malfoy. I thought that in my class, we should raise our hands before speaking, but this time was an exception. Also, deducting or adding points is a privilege reserved for professors, so please don't do it again next time."

Umbridge's attitude was completely different from Hermione's and Harry's, a clear case of differential treatment; she proactively gave Draco a way out.

Draco no longer calls Umbridge "Professor," but rather "Madam."
