Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin

Chapter 244, Section 242: Buddy Crouch Appears in Azkaban
阿兹卡班
As a small boat arrived, several Aurors escorted a dejected and lifeless wizard ashore on the island.
Sirius Black's case is closed, and he has been exonerated. Peter Pettigrew, the real culprit who betrayed the Potters, is naturally to be imprisoned in Azkaban to receive the punishment he should have received twelve years ago.
The Aurors opened a cell, threw him inside, and left without looking back.
He was locked in the same cell that Sirius Black had been in.
The first thing he did after being locked in the cell was to curl up into a ball, trying to make himself as tight as possible.
He was trying to hide himself; he didn't want the Dementors to suddenly come up and kiss him.
Although the probability is very low, what if it happens?
He doesn't want to die.
Even in Azkaban, he didn't want to die.
He still had a chance to escape because he knew how Sirius Black had broken out of prison.
Animagus
Although they cannot cast spells without a wand, Animagus's transformations are unrestricted.
The Ministry of Magic knew he possessed Animagus abilities but took no action.
Perhaps in their eyes, Sirius Black's Animagus was a dog, which is why he was able to escape, while Peter Pettigrew's Animagus was a mouse, which is why he couldn't escape.
Don't expect the current Ministry of Magic to accomplish anything. Under Minister Fudge's leadership, the English Ministry of Magic is no longer the same as it used to be.
They even believed that the Dementors were capable of keeping an eye on the prisoners in Azkaban.
Dementors are mindless and filled with endless negative emotions. They are naturally less sensitive to animal feelings, and even if they knew how Sirius Black escaped, they had no way to defend themselves.
Most importantly, he knows both Animagus and the Patronus Charm, Peter Pettigrew. This is all thanks to his friends at Hogwarts; as part of the group of four, they taught him every spell they knew.
Give him a magic wand, and he'll have a chance.
"Hahaha, look at that. The new guy looks just like a poor mouse."
A maniacal laugh rang out.
It seems to be very close to Peter.
People who stay in Azkaban for a long time become neurotic, or rather, there are no normal people in Azkaban.
Peter Pettigrew ignored the man and remained quietly lying on the ground, curled up in a corner.
The owner of the maniacal laughter soon lost interest when Peter showed no reaction.
Peter lay quietly, remaining motionless except when eating. He was conserving his energy and didn't want to do anything unnecessary.
He's waiting for an opportunity, no matter how long it takes. He'll seize it as soon as it comes.
Waiting is Peter Pettigrew's greatest skill.
He was able to remain undetected within the Weasley family for over twelve years thanks to this perseverance.
If he could channel that tenacity elsewhere, perhaps he would have had a different life; perhaps he would have become an outstanding wizard on the front lines of the fight against Death Eaters.
But there aren't that many "maybes" in this world.
No one knows how much time has passed. Azkaban was shrouded in dark clouds, making it impossible to distinguish between day and night. Perhaps a month had passed, perhaps a year had passed, or perhaps only a week had passed. A visitor appeared in Azkaban prison once again. He was a middle-aged wizard with a cold and stern face.
He had short, neatly combed gray hair, cold eyes, and a sparse mustache on his lips.
Mr. Barty Crouch
Peter heard other people call him by that name.
He walked up to Peter Pettigrew's cell, stopped, stared straight at Peter inside, said nothing, and left after a moment.
That night, Peter received a magic wand.
Hogwarts, a meeting room in Slytherin.
Dali and other members of the discipline group are gathered here.
"Brother D, it's not that I don't trust you, it's just that this kind of thing can really be used for communication?"
Ron pointed to the Den Den Mushi on the table, which was constantly munching on corn, and said uncertainly.
This Den Den Mushi has been modified.
"I mean, it's really unbelievable that a slug with a shell could be as effective as an owl in delivering messages."
Hearing Ron talking badly about him, the Den Den Mushi stopped eating corn and angrily spat at him. Ron was disgusted and quickly dodged away.
"It's called a Den Den Mushi!"
Before Dudley could speak, Hermione said, "Ron, it's absurd that wizards still use owls to deliver messages."
"Did you know that while you were still using such primitive methods as biological communication, the 'Muggles' you call them had already invented tools that allowed people to communicate directly across thousands of miles?"
"Of course I don't mean to belittle owls, but their communication efficiency is really slow."
"Cool!" Ron exclaimed. "What is that? I think my dad will love it."
"Telephone."
To Ron's surprise, it was Draco who answered, the pure-blood wizard who, in theory, most despised and rejected ordinary people.
Seeing that everyone's eyes had turned to him, Draco shrugged, with an expression that said, "I knew it," and simply explained, "There's nothing strange about this. We Malfoys know quite a few nobles among ordinary people. Malfoy Manor is registered with the Queen of England and even has corresponding titles."
"It's not just your Weasley family, Mr. Robert. In fact, many pure-blood wizards have some connection with us, but they just don't make it public."
Draco was telling the truth, but having a connection is one thing, and taking it seriously is another.
Even the Malfoy family only started to take things seriously after Draco learned a lot about ordinary people from Dudley.
"Malfoy, are you looking for trouble?"
Ron got anxious when he heard his name being called wrong again.
"Come on, I'll give you a handicap."
"Enough with the small talk."
Dudley interrupted their bickering, took out another Den Den Mushi, and placed it in front of Ron: "Whether it works or not, why don't you try it yourself and see?"
"You and Draco each take a Den Den Mushi and go to the two rooms in the next room."
A moment later, Ron pushed open the door, his face beaming.
"Brother D, it really works!"
Ron excitedly held up the Den Den Mushi.
"It not only has Malfoy's voice, but it can also imitate his tone and expression. It's simply amazing."
"How did they do that? A spell? Or a transfiguration charm?"
Draco followed closely behind, and although he was also excited, he was much calmer than Ron.
Dudley didn't answer Ron, but instead took out a few more Den Den Mushi that had already been made: "Den Den Mushi can't be mass-produced yet, but each member of the Discipline Group can have one. Remember to feed them regularly so they don't starve."
"If anything happens, we'll contact each other using Den Den Mushi."
