Chapter 47 The Golden-Armored Warrior Stephen Hawking Makes His Debut

"Let's get to work!"

Leaping across rooftops that are generally not very tall, Hawking began searching for crimes that fit his character.

For my first appearance, I can't just deal with petty thieves like I did before; that would be too pathetic.

As a poor neighborhood in New York, the Bronx is not filled with skyscrapers like Manhattan. Instead, it is mostly composed of small buildings of five or six stories, which allowed Hawking to see everything happening below more clearly.

Fights, brawls, theft, and even murder are not uncommon in the Bronx; Hawking witnessed no fewer than eight such incidents during the hour he was searching.

He never made a move, because none of them met his requirements.

He knew very well that he was not a true champion of justice, and he also knew very well what he wanted.

There are too many crimes happening in this world. He can't possibly deal with every single one of them, nor can he take the blame for something just because he didn't intervene. He would eventually have a mental breakdown if he did that.

His consistent principle is that if he sees something bad happening and tries to help, it must be out of his own free will.

It may be out of sympathy and pity, or it may be out of self-interest, but it was definitely not out of coercion.

There's no need to feel guilty if you don't offer help.

Because the person who caused this incident was the perpetrator, not him, the bystander.

Respect the fate of others, let go of the urge to help others, and avoid self-pity.

This statement may sometimes sound cruel, but it is also a way of protecting oneself. Otherwise, not only will one suffer, but one will also bring trouble to those who truly care about and love one.

Especially now, in a dangerous world like Marvel's, in a high-crime area like New York.

Similarly, if he himself is in danger and someone helps him, he will be grateful. If no one helps him, he will not resent others; he should resent the person who put him in danger.

"Found it! The much-anticipated bank robbery!"

After an hour of searching, he finally found a crime scene that met his requirements on a main street in the South Bronx.

On the speeding bread truck, four ruthless robbers wielding submachine guns were arrogantly firing wildly at the police car chasing behind them.

They showed no fear whatsoever when faced with police officers who could only fight back with pistols.

One of the ruthless robbers even opened the sunroof of the van, climbed out with an RPG in his hand, and got out.

"boom!"

As the robber pressed the launch button, the police car that was chasing him the closest instantly turned into a burst of sparks.

"Why are you working so hard for that little salary each month?"

The ruthless bandit laughed arrogantly and crawled back inside.

Perhaps out of fear of the powerful firepower of the ruthless criminals, or perhaps because several police cars had been shot down in succession, the police cars behind clearly dared not pursue so closely anymore.

If the bread truck escapes sight, then in the chaotic South Bronx, there's virtually no chance of finding them and recovering the stolen bank money.

It's 2003, and this isn't the bustling Manhattan area; there aren't that many surveillance cameras on the streets.

"After shaking off these police officers, we'll drive to the planned transfer point, then switch to another car and go back to split the money."

The leader of the robbers put down his RPG, opened the five large bags in the car, looked at the stacks of US dollars inside, laughed loudly, and gave instructions to the driver.

Upon hearing this, the other robbers became incredibly energetic, unleashing a flurry of fire from their submachine guns, which slowed down the pursuit of the police cars behind them.

However, just when they thought they could shake off the police car and end the robbery perfectly, a golden figure suddenly descended from the sky and landed right in front of them.

"Boss!"

The driver instinctively tried to slam on the brakes, but the gang leader in the back immediately roared:

"Run him over!"

This is a race against time with the police; if things stop now, things will get really messy.

The van he used for the robbery had been modified beforehand, making it much sturdier than a normal van. It could easily knock someone down without causing any damage to the vehicle.

"Stop!"

Facing the bread truck speeding towards him, Hawking was not surprised at all. He gathered his strength and easily brought the bread truck to a stop by simply extending one hand.

After forcing the bread truck to stop, they flipped it upwards, causing the bread truck, which contained six thugs, to spin two and a half times in the air.

Actually, if you wanted to quickly deal with these robbers, you wouldn't need to go through all this trouble. Just standing on the rooftop and firing a gas blast from a distance would have blown the bread cart to pieces.

But that wasn't the result Hawking wanted. People couldn't see him at all and thought someone had fired another rocket.

Sure enough, the scene of him descending from the sky in his golden armor and overturning the robbers' van instantly attracted the attention of the citizens who were still in a state of shock on the street. The bolder ones had already started to take out their mobile phones to record the scene.

"Damn it, die, monster!"

The overturned bread cart clearly did not incapacitate all the robbers. The gang leader, his face covered in shards of glass, led another robber out of the car and unleashed a barrage of submachine gun shots at Hawking.

"this one?"

Hawking gave a cold smile, and his hands instantly became a blur, catching the bullets aimed at him one by one.

Master Shen, with a combat power of 120, could catch a bullet fired by Launch with his bare hands. Now that his combat power is over 140, catching it will be even easier for him.

"How is this possible?"

The two robbers, who had run out of bullets, were stunned and stood frozen in place as they watched Hawking spread his arms and a bullet fall to the ground.

The leader tried to get an RPG from the bread truck, but before he could turn around, he felt a pain in his back and collapsed to the ground.

It was Hawking who knocked out the two robbers.

As a righteous superhero, he certainly can't appear too brutal; knocking someone unconscious is enough, and any killing must be done when no one is around.

Meanwhile, the police officers who were about to be shaken off finally arrived in their cars. When they got out of their vehicles and saw the overturned bread truck and the unconscious robbers, they were stunned for a moment, and then immediately drew their pistols and pointed them at Hawking.

"Don't move, hands up! Who are you?"

"Mars."

Deliberately using a megaphone spell to leave behind a thunderous self-introduction, Hawking instantly switched to the Monkey King template and shouted into the sky:

"Somersault Cloud!"

Under the stunned gazes of the police and onlookers, he leaped up onto the somersault cloud and disappeared into the sky.

A name and slogan are essential, and it's best to come up with them yourself beforehand. Otherwise, if you wait for the public to come up with a name for you, who knows what it will turn out to be?

Although he felt incredibly ashamed when he said those words, he gritted his teeth and pretended to say them in order to achieve the best effect, still using that solemn and dignified tone, like that of a god.

There's no way around it; most ordinary people in this world just fall for this kind of thing.

Moreover, they can understand calling him the God of War, similar to Ares, who is also one of the gods in the Western mythology system.
