Chapter 13 Magneto Arrives

When the template was first loaded, Hawking was in a coma for a whole day, and he was very weak when he woke up.

He was only unconscious for an hour. After waking up, he was basically normal. He didn't feel weak or cry out. He was just in his usual normal state.

With further training, I believe the loading template should no longer have any side effects.

Have you contacted the professor?

"No, I only managed to contact Jean and Ororo. They're on their way back from Boston and probably won't arrive until tomorrow."

Wolverine handed the beer in his hand to Bobby next to him. Bobby blew into the bottle, and an ice-cold beer was immediately produced.

If they haven't been able to contact Professor X, then it's almost certain that he's been captured by Stryker.

Professor X's power lies in telepathy and mind control. His body is that of a normal human being; he would be paralyzed if shot and would develop Alzheimer's disease as he gets older.

Therefore, as long as one is not mentally controlled by him at close range and cannot remotely control his machinery to launch a sneak attack, it is not difficult to deal with Professor X.

This is why Professor X always goes out with Scott; he needs someone to protect him.

Stryker took advantage of this, suddenly closing the room when Professor X visited Magneto in prison and releasing a large amount of hypnotic gas before Magneto could react, rendering him unconscious.

"Okay, let's wait for the teachers to come back first."

Hawking didn't reveal Stryker's plans because it wasn't his place to say it. How could a kid who had just come from Sokovia to study know so much about mutants? He couldn't explain it later.

Even asking Wolverine to take him to check out the brainwave enhancement machine was wrong; it's only because Wolverine is thick-skinned that nothing happened. If it were Professor X, he would have suspected him long ago.

Besides, it's no use saying it now. Stryker's base is far away by a large lake in Canada, and without the school's X-Fighter, he and Wolverine can't fly there.

Of course, he couldn't completely ignore it. If Stryker succeeded in killing all the mutants on Earth, Pietro Jr. wouldn't escape either, and his original plan to freeload and gain justice points at the mutant school would fall apart.

Or, if Magneto seizes the opportunity to change his target and kill all the normal humans on Earth, that would be even worse, because he would also die.

Wait, he doesn't seem to be a normal human anymore; he's a Saiyan.

However, it's hard to say for sure.

Leaving one's fate in the hands of others is not his style.

"Steel Boy will continue to contact the professor. I'll keep watch tonight, so you should get some rest!"

Wolverine patted Hawking on the shoulder, telling him not to worry too much.

In his eyes, no matter how strong or mature Hawking was, he was still a child, and there were some things that children shouldn't have to bear.

However, Hawking's stomach made a few "quack" sounds at that moment.

"Um... is there anything to eat here? I need to fill my stomach."

The food we ate for dinner has been mostly used up during that hour-long battle.

Wolverine smiled upon seeing this:

"Come with me, the basement has everything!"

This is an emergency shelter prepared by Professor X for the students, so naturally, he would consider the issues of food and water. The beer in his hand was taken from the basement.

After calming Wanda and Pietro down, Hawking followed Wolverine to the basement of the villa.

"At this moment, I want to sing a song about heaven."

Seeing the boxes and boxes of chocolates, sausages, bread, drinks, and other miscellaneous foods, Hawking's eyes lit up.

His body had been desperately thirsty and needed these high-sugar, high-fat, and high-energy foods to replenish itself.

"Oh, damn it, now I finally know who that gluttonous brat Yug was talking about is!"

Watching the boxes of food disappear one by one, Wolverine froze in mid-air, his beer half-finished.

The following afternoon, a stealth fighter jet landed smoothly on the lawn behind the villa.

"Qin, you're much later than agreed time. I was worried you might have run into some trouble."

Logan went up and hugged Phoenix as she stepped out of the plane.

Behind Phoenix, Storm, accompanied by a mutant who looked like a demon from legend, pointed to the plane's cabin door and explained:

"Some unexpected things happened along the way; we met two unexpected people."

Wolverine turned his head and saw an old man wearing a special helmet and a female mutant with blue skin walking out.

"Friends, it's been a long time."

The old man raised his hand and greeted him with a smile.

Wolverine's expression immediately turned fierce, and his claws shot out instantly.

The newcomers were Magneto and Mystique. Just two years ago, they had a fierce life-or-death battle at the Statue of Liberty.

In that battle, Rogue was almost killed by Magneto.

"Logan, they are not the enemy now."

Seeing this, Phoenix quickly stopped Wolverine and patiently explained.

It turns out that after Stryker took Professor X away, Magneto was rescued from prison by Mystique, who then contacted the X-Men to seek cooperation, saying that they would rescue Professor X together and save all mutants.

"Magneto's goal isn't just to save mutants, but also to take the opportunity to kill all humans."

Standing at the second-floor window, watching everything unfold, Hawking shook his head while munching on a Virginia sausage.

He will definitely go to Canada to rescue Professor X.

Whether he saves mutants or humans, he'll gain a lot of justice points, and the progress bar might even fill up to unlock the second protagonist template.

To reiterate, he was unwilling to entrust his fate to anyone else.

The operation was indeed successful in the movie, but this isn't a movie, and it's probably not even in a universe. The same event could have different results, and who can say for sure?

His very existence has created a butterfly effect, and everything in the future will inevitably undergo tremendous changes. The plot he knows can only be used as a reference, and should never be taken as dogma.

Otherwise, you might get scammed and killed sometime.

"Wanda, Pietro, you two stay here and watch TV with everyone. I'm going downstairs."

Seeing Magneto and the others enter the villa, Hawking patted Wanda and Pietro on the head, gave them a few instructions, and then headed for the stairs, arriving at the living room on the first floor.

"Still no news from the professor?"

"Don't worry, child. The professor is fine and will be back soon. We'll be able to go back to school soon too."

When Storm saw Hawking come downstairs to ask about Professor X, she immediately went up to him and bent down to comfort him like she was coaxing a child.

She knew that Hawking was a student the professor had just brought to the school, and she had met him just yesterday.

Now that the school has become like this, Hawking, a child who had just entered the school, must have been very scared, especially since his only familiar professor, Professor X, was not there.

Logan, who was behind him, gave a strange look; the scene felt very out of place to him.

Hawking is indeed a child, but after yesterday's battle, he simply can't treat him completely like a child anymore.
