Chapter 9 Same period

"Hello everyone, I am your future class teacher, Sarutobi Akaura. It is a pleasure to meet you all. Before we begin the course, I would like to get to know you better."

Let's start with self-introductions: name, age, things you like and dislike, and dreams. The order will be from left to right in the first row, from right to left in the second row, and so on.

At eight o'clock, a young ninja walked into the classroom with a warm smile and pointed to a student with spiky hair in the first row. The student stood up, raised his head, and said:

"Uchiha Tenka, five years old, his hobby is defeating members of the Hyuga clan, he hates the Hyuga clan, and his dream is to prove that the Uchiha clan is the strongest eye technique clan."

"Uchiha?!"

"Pupil technique?"

The freshmen hadn't learned what it meant to keep quiet, and they immediately started whispering among themselves. In the back row, Pineapple Head frowned and muttered, "Uchiha? What a troublesome clan."

Sarutobi Akaho cleared his throat and gestured for the next student to continue. He didn't have much to say about Uchiha Tenka's self-introduction, since the two clans had a historical feud that he, as a teacher, couldn't resolve.

"The moonlight shines eternally, and my hobby is..."

The self-introductions of the next few people went very smoothly, and Sarutobi Akiura breathed a sigh of relief. But soon, a student with shimmering hair, a smooth forehead, and white eyes stood up and said:

"Hyuga Sento, six years old, his hobby is practicing Gentle Fist, he dislikes the Uchiha clan, and he doesn't have any dreams for now, because the Hyuga clan is the strongest clan in ocular jutsu, and doesn't need to prove it!"

"What do you mean?!"

Upon hearing this, Uchiha Tenka stood up and looked at Hyuga Sento on the other side. Hyuga Sento was not afraid and met his gaze in return.

"Next!"

At that moment, Sarutobi Akiura quickly interrupted, pointing to the students in the second row. The boy hidden under the trench coat stood up and said, "My name is Aburame."

After the introduction, he sat down. Sarutobi Akiura snapped out of his reverie and said, "Excuse me, could you please introduce yourself again? I was distracted and didn't hear you clearly."

"The Tale of the Oil Maiden."

As Aburame Shiki sat down, Sarutobi Akiura came to his senses again. He realized that he hadn't heard anything except for names, and he noticed that the other students also seemed somewhat confused, as if they were saying, "Did someone just speak?"

However, it would be too hurtful to have Aburame Shii introduce them again, so he looked at the student next to Aburame Shii, a girl, who stood up and said:

"My name is Inuzuka Tsurugi, I'm almost five years old, my hobby is training dogs, I hate cats! My dream is to become the first female Hokage!"

Inuzuka Tsuru's voice was very clear, and because of Aburame Shiki, Sarutobi Akiura, who was listening attentively, even felt a little itchy.

It seems that not being able to hear Aburame Shii's self-introduction is not his problem, but Aburame Shii's problem.

Soon, one student after another began to introduce themselves. Tatsuma also paid attention to these classmates, with Yamanaka Inoichi, Nara Shikaku, and Akimichi Choza from the Ino-Shika-Cho trio being the ones he focused on.

However, there wasn't a single red-haired girl in the class at the moment, probably because she hadn't enrolled yet. After all, Tatsuma remembered that the fiery red chili pepper was a transfer student.

There were only thirty students in the class, and it was soon Minato and Tatsuma's turn. Minato was a little reserved and didn't dare to say that he wanted to become Hokage. He only said that he wanted to become a trustworthy ninja like Hokage.

After Minato finished his introduction, Tatsuma stood up and said, "My name is Sakamoto Tatsuma, I'm five years old, and my hobby is making friends and training with them."

At this point, Minato subconsciously shuddered, but Tatsuma didn't pay attention and continued, "For now, there's nothing I dislike; my dream is to gain people's recognition."

Tatsuma didn't say anything grand or lofty. After all, at his age, saying in public that he wanted to maintain peace in the ninja world would only make him seem pretentious and empty.

After Tatsuma, only two students remained. After the introductions, Sarutobi Awaura began distributing teaching materials. Ninja Academy students not only had practical classes, but theoretical classes were equally important.

However, when Tatsuma got his hands on the textbook and looked through it, he found that it was not what he had expected. In Tatsuma's mind, the textbook should have been more about the history of the ninja world and the Will of Fire.

However, after reviewing the materials, Tatsuma found that they focused more on ninja tools and techniques, and even included descriptions of the characteristics of ninjas from various villages. The historical information was rather perfunctory.

"Is it because you haven't settled down yet?"

Tatsuma muttered to himself, "This kind of teaching material doesn't meet the needs of all-round development in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor. It's only for cultivating the combat ability of ninjas."

In this turbulent era, culture serves the superstructure. Konoha is clearly unable to allow its children to grow up fully and slowly; instead, it needs batches of ninja reserves.

Minato noticed Tatsuma's furrowed brow and asked, "What's wrong?"

Tatsuma shook his head and said, "I just find the content a bit difficult to understand."

Minato is too young; explaining it to him wouldn't make him understand, and it would only cause more trouble. Hearing this, Minato smiled and said, "It's alright. If you have any questions later, I can teach you."

"Then I'll have to trouble you from now on."

In the following time, Sarutobi Akiura explained the precautions for studying there, including get out of class times, rest day arrangements, and the concept of a semester.

These things shouldn't have needed to be taught in this classroom, because the parents of those ninja children and descendants of ninjas would arrange everything. But who can blame them when Tatsuma and Minato, these two orphans, are here?

After Sarutobi Akiura finished speaking, other ninja academy teachers came to visit, introducing themselves and their lessons. Sarutobi Akiura then left the classroom, presumably to visit other classes.

It took all morning to get the trivial matters sorted out. Before the formal afternoon classes, there was a lunch break, and some children chose to leave the ninja school, presumably to go home for lunch.

Tatsuma and Minato took out the bento boxes they had prepared beforehand, intending to get some hot water to eat with them. Just then, Nara Shikaku with the pineapple head, along with Yamanaka Inoichi and Akimichi Choza, walked towards the two of them.

"You just mentioned that you like making friends, is that right?"

Just as Tatsuma was pondering the three men's intentions, Shikaku spoke up. Tatsuma nodded and asked, "That's right. I remember you just said that you don't like pointless socializing."

At this moment, Shikaku smiled and said, "I think I've had some effective interaction with the two of you. Let me introduce myself. My name is Nara Shikaku, this is Yamanaka Inoichi, and this is Akimichi Choza."

"Hello there."

"Click~ Hello."

Hai nodded, and Ding quickly swallowed his potato chips, nodding to Chenma and the other two as well, but tightly guarding the potato chips in his hand.

Tatsuma didn't mind, after all, he knew about the Akimichi clan's protectiveness of their food from his previous life. He nodded and said with a smile, "My name is Sakamoto Tatsuma."

After saying that, Tatsuma looked at Minato, who smiled and said, "My name is Namikaze Minato."

"Then I won't disturb your lunch. Let's play chess together sometime."

Shikaku wasn't overly enthusiastic, as that wasn't his nature. Besides, he had come to socialize with the two of them partly because of his father's instructions, so he quickly left with Inoichi and Choza.

"It seems that not all members of the ninja clan are arrogant."

Minato had a good impression of the three, and Tatsuma agreed, saying, "These people are indeed worth befriending. As expected of you, Minato, you've already attracted so many suitors so quickly."

Upon hearing the words "As expected of you," Minato instinctively shuddered, feeling that Tatsuma was about to issue some challenge again. However, seeing Tatsuma head straight for the water fountain, Minato felt somewhat disheartened.
