Chapter 83 New Victims

In the magical world, if Ike had to choose the most incredible magical creation, it would definitely be the Time-Turner.

Certainly, the Philosopher's Stone, which grants immortality, is also amazing; Nicolas Flamel lived for over six hundred years thanks to it. However, compared to reversing time, the Time-Turner is clearly more "magical."

Isn't there a saying that goes, "Time is supreme, space is king, power is above all, and destiny is paramount"?

As far as Ike knew, only third-year students had access to the Time-Turner during the seven years at Hogwarts, and the prerequisite was that they had taken all the courses.

Once a young wizard has selected all the courses, the professor will first review their application. After approval, the professor will write to the Ministry of Magic, stating that the student is an exemplary student with excellent academic performance and would never use the Time-Turner for anything other than studying. Once everything goes smoothly, on the first day of third grade, the young wizard will receive a Time-Turner, valid for only one year of third grade. If they wish to use it again in fourth grade, they will need to apply again, repeating that tedious process. Furthermore, if any violations occur during its use, the Ministry of Magic will revoke the Time-Turner and ban the wizard from using it for life. Ike wasn't entirely sure if he could get the Time-Turner, but after thinking it over, he realized he hadn't accomplished much in the past year, and his grades were impeccable. If Hermione could get it, he should be fine too.

As long as the professor doesn't object.

In April, a tense atmosphere gradually settled over Hogwarts, mainly due to the fifth and seventh year students, whose OWLs and NEWTs exams were fast approaching. In the corridors, Great Hall, library, and even the common rooms, you could always see upperclassmen studying diligently with a book in one hand and a potion in the other.

Of course, the most important thing in April for young wizards is Easter, from the 11th to the 25th, when they will have a full two-week holiday. However, unlike the Christmas holiday, they are not allowed to go home for Easter unless there is a very urgent matter.

On Easter Sunday, the castle was redecorated once again. Various Easter eggs were displayed on windowsills and in corridors, the candles in the hall were shaped like eggs, and many magically created bunnies hopped around in the air, which was quite amusing.

Unlike previous years, the school didn't bury any Easter eggs in the grass outside the castle for the energetic young wizards to find. Instead, they placed the eggs directly on each student's bedside table. The dinner was lavish as usual, with plenty of lamb and ham laid out on the long table, and a large turkey roasted to a golden brown, emitting an enticing aroma. Bread and mashed potatoes were arranged in the shape of rabbits, with two cherries for eyes, which received unanimous praise from the little witches.

The most surprising dish was a golden-brown roasted whole lamb, a dish usually reserved for large banquets, and it was somewhat different from what Ike remembered eating.

But that doesn't matter, lamb is delicious on its own.

On the professors' table, Dumbledore smiled so broadly his eyes narrowed, a stark contrast to Professor McGonagall beside him. In fact, apart from Dumbledore and Lockhart, the other professors didn't seem to be in a good mood, especially Snape, who remained expressionless, like an iceberg.

Lockhart was undoubtedly the most excited. He was wearing a sky-blue robe embroidered with gold patterns and was talking happily with Dumbledore, occasionally flashing his dazzling white teeth.

After just a glance, Ike's attention was immediately drawn to the food in front of him. Ham, lamb, mashed potatoes—every bite was so delicious that he unconsciously squinted his eyes in enjoyment.

This is one of the few times in recent days that Ike has been able to completely relax. All he needs to do is enjoy the food and eat his fill.

The lively dinner lasted for over an hour before people gradually left. Ike sipped his lemonade, sitting quietly on his stool waiting for Stuart to finish the last lamb chop on his plate. When it came to eating, neither Ike nor Terry could match Stuart; only Michael, when in a good mood, could rival him. Most of the time, Stuart was the undisputed glutton of the Ravenclaw sophomores.

Of course, if the scope is expanded to the entire college, Stewart is not enough.

At least Ron of Gryffindor had a much larger appetite than Stuart.

About twenty minutes later, Stewart finally finished his battle. Patting his round belly, Stewart was very satisfied.

"Let's go, friends! There's a party waiting for us in the common room! Roger has prepared some new fireworks!"

"I really don't understand why there's always a party after the holiday dinner, and Roger always prepares fireworks," Ike complained.

"It's his hobby," Terry said with a laugh. "Just like you like cockroaches, Roger's hobby is perfectly normal."

"Isn't a pile of cockroaches good?" Ike muttered, but didn't say it out loud. He knew that normal people wouldn't like this kind of strange candy.

Even though it tastes very good.

Leaving the Great Hall, the five of them slowly made their way up to the eighth floor. Along the way, they encountered groups of two or three young wizards, mostly Ravenclaws and Gryffindors. They were easy to spot: those walking slowly were likely Ravenclaws, while those running, jumping, and talking loudly were definitely the young lions.

"Are they always so energetic?" Michael wondered, watching three or four Gryffindors chase after him.

Having spent over a year in Ravenclaw, Michael has developed some of the common eagle traits: he thinks Gryffindors are all muscle-bound brutes.

Of course, Ike also had this idea; he felt that Hermione was the only normal person in the entire Gryffindor.

As they climbed the stairs to the eighth floor, they hadn't walked far down the corridor when they suddenly found themselves surrounded by a large crowd, layer upon layer. Ike's heart tightened, and he glanced at Stuart and the others, their faces showing a hint of seriousness.

I hurried forward, squeezed through the crowd, and saw a tall, thin man lying on the ground. His eyes were wide open, as if he had seen something terrifying. Scattered on the ground were many cigarettes he had painstakingly lit, and he was holding one in his hand, already used. A pink lady's hat was floating in front of his chest.

It was Roger!

On the wall beside it, there was a line of red characters, still flickering with an eerie light, like flowing blood:
