Chapter 287 The Mad Plants

Chapter 287 The Mad Plants

"Bang!"

Moody's body crashed to the ground, blood gushing freely from the gaping wound, mixed with some unidentified substance with a pungent odor.

He convulsed unconsciously, and in the blink of an eye, his face turned deathly pale, and his chest heaved violently, becoming increasingly rapid.

"Help!" Scrimgeour shouted, but the only warriors he brought were the Aoros, who had almost no healing abilities. He frantically rummaged through potions and forced Moody to drink them, but there was no improvement whatsoever. He could only watch helplessly as Moody's breathing went from becoming increasingly rapid to becoming increasingly even.

"Ha ha ha ha……"

Ike laughed loudly, steadily catching Sirius and the others' attacks with his double protection. His effortless demeanor infuriated Sirius.

But it was just impotent rage; they had no way of breaking Ike's obviously non-magical armor spell.

"Chirp!"

Just then, a clear bird song rang out through the sky, and a fiery red figure flew rapidly from afar. Ike's face showed alarm, and he raised his left hand high, then swung it down fiercely. A raging inferno enveloped the fiery red figure, with faint streaks of lightning flashing within the flames.

"Chirp!"

The bird's cry was mournful, but its speed did not decrease in the slightest. It pierced through the thick flames and landed on Moody's chest.

Turning her head to the side, glistening tears fell beside the terrible wound on Moody's abdomen, and then the wound healed at a speed visible to the naked eye until it was completely gone.

"Fox!" Ron shouted excitedly, while Scrimgeour quickly pressed his head against Moody's chest, listening intently. When he stood up again, a huge weight had finally been lifted from his heart.

"He won't die," he murmured, then stood up, pointing his wand at the young man who was still handling several adult wizards with ease, and shouted sharply, "Go! Don't let him get away!"

As the Ao Luos responded, they joined the attack on Ike, putting Ike under immense pressure. The outermost silver shield shattered after only three or four seconds, and the inner light shield was also shaken violently.

"this one?"

With a wave of his left hand, six silver shields appeared in front of him. This sight undoubtedly filled Sirius and the others, as well as the Aoruo, with despair. Previously, just one shield had taken them so long to fight; now there were six!

Another wave of dense spells was unleashed, but the shields spun erratically, blocking the attack without sustaining any damage.

"this one?"

Ike tilted his head, his contempt undisguised. Suddenly, he stomped his right foot forward, and a huge golden magic circle appeared, instantly enveloping Sirius and the others, as well as the Aoruo.

"Oh!"

Holding his wand upright in front of his chest, Ike let out a sneer, then slammed it hard into the ground. The mysterious lines on the magic circle suddenly emitted a dazzling golden light, causing people to squint involuntarily.

"Be careful!"

The earth trembled violently, as if something was about to burst forth from the ground. Suddenly, a verdant green appeared in the golden light, and then abruptly spread out. Countless green plants grew wildly, vines, trees, grass, and even flowers, growing tall in just a few breaths.

"what!"

A Luo let out a piercing scream, his wand stabbing fiercely at the vines wrapped around his legs, only to have the vines tighten their grip. Before long, they tore through his skin, and blood instantly stained the vines red.

"Flames are raging!"

"Flames are raging!"

Everyone instinctively unleashed fire spells, yet the plants still relentlessly charged forward. The fire was effective; most of the plants that broke through the flames were scorched and fell limply to the ground before they could even touch the people.

"Damn it! Go save the students!"

In the chaos, Scrimgeour glanced casually at the trains on both sides and saw that they were covered by rampant vegetation. Piercing, terrified screams rang out, accompanied by the creaking of the trains struggling under the weight.

At this point, no one cared about Ike, who had unleashed such terrible magic; everyone was focused on casting fire spells to restrain the frenzied plants. They desperately wanted to break through the encirclement to rescue the students trapped inside the carriages, but they couldn't get out no matter what they did.

Scrimgeour was grinding his teeth to powder, his eyes blazing with fury, but he could only vent his anger on the frenzied plants around him, relentlessly unleashing fire spells.

The situation reached a stalemate, but it was clearly becoming increasingly disadvantageous for the Order of the Phoenix and the Ministry of Magic. The flames blocked the plants, but they also made it increasingly difficult for them to breathe. Gradually, everyone was soaked in sweat, panting heavily, but they could only inhale dry, hot air, which not only did not alleviate the situation but actually made it worse.

Gradually, the frequency of everyone's spellcasting slowed down, the flames grew weaker, and more and more plants rushed in. Those who were exhausted collapsed to the ground, only to be covered by plants in the blink of an eye, and those around them were powerless to save them.

"Hold on! Hold on!"

Scrimgeour shouted hoarsely, feeling as if his throat had been stabbed with a knife. The depletion of his magic and the harsh environment caused him to stumble and almost fall to the ground.

But as soon as he regained his balance, he saw a magic wand appear in front of him, its tip faintly glowing with golden light. Before he could react, the golden light suddenly burst forth completely, causing Scrimgeour to involuntarily close his eyes.

"boom!"

A deafening explosion rang out, as if a hurricane had swept through, and everyone's bodies were thrown uncontrollably backward before crashing heavily to the ground and onto the train carriages.

Some groaned, some howled, but without exception they were all injured, and some were even somewhat delirious.

"Aaaaaah..."

Ron waved his hands frantically, as if trying to shoo something away, but he was quickly grabbed, and a voice rang in his ears: "Wake up! Ron! Wake up! It's alright!"

He seemed not to hear, still struggling. Then, a flash of white light, and his reason returned. Looking closely, he saw Hermione panting as she retrieved her wand, while Harry and Neville beside her breathed a long sigh of relief.

"What's wrong? Where are those damn vines?" he asked.

"It's been taken care of." Harry plopped down next to him and pointed ahead with difficulty.

"Dumbledore is here, we're safe..."

Ron was startled and looked in the direction Harry was pointing, where he saw two people engaged in a fierce battle. Red, white, gold, green spells flew wildly in the air, and the two were constantly shifting their positions, making it a dizzying spectacle. After watching for a while, he felt dizzy and lightheaded.

Sirius Black, the Weasleys, and the others stood not far away, watching the two fighting warily with serious expressions, as if they were ready to rush in at any moment.

Ron might not see it, but that doesn't mean they couldn't. It may sound unbelievable, but there's no doubt that Dumbledore is at a disadvantage in this battle!
