Magical Studies at Hogwarts...
Chapter 161 Dragon
Chapter 161 Dragon
The night passed in the blink of an eye, and by the next morning, the entire Hogwarts was enveloped in an atmosphere of tension and excitement.
In the afternoon, the warriors will begin their first project.
Of course, they still had a class to attend in the morning before that, even though almost everyone's mind was already on the Fire Dragon Enclosure that had been built long ago.
Yes, everyone knew the news on the morning of the match.
After lunch, everyone rushed to the Fire Dragon Hunting Ground. They filled all the seats, unfurled all sorts of banners, and fireworks occasionally burst in the sky, making it look like a carnival.
Professor Flitwick led Ike toward the tents prepared for the warriors, which were located next to the Forbidden Forest and blocked one of the entrances to the enclosure.
"Don't be nervous, Ike, believe in your abilities."
Ike had never seen Professor Flitwick like this before, his fingers constantly twisting the hem of his clothes.
"Don't worry, Professor, I'll be fine. Trust me."
Patting Professor Flitwick on the shoulder, Ike said with a smile.
"Yes, of course, I have no doubt about that." Professor Flitwick didn't seem to be getting any better; he was still very nervous, and his condition didn't improve even after the two of them came outside the tent.
After taking a few deep breaths, Professor Flitwick calmed himself down a bit. With a serious expression, he patted Ike's arm and said, "From now on, it's up to you, Ike."
"Mr. Bagman is inside; he'll explain what we'll be doing later..."
"Don't worry, Professor," Ike said with a smile, winking. "You know, that won't be a problem for me. Think about what I did a few years ago..."
After saying that, he directly opened the tent door.
Inside, Fleur and Krum were already there, and they both looked very nervous. Fleur sat on a small stool in the corner, her face pale, fidgeting with her wand. Krum remained standing, but his expression was even more somber.
Ai Ke greeted them, and Fu Rong forced a smile in response, while Krum remained immersed in his own world and did not respond at all.
"Wait a little longer, we still have one more warrior. We'll begin once he arrives," Ludo said cheerfully, patting Ike on the shoulder as if to encourage him.
Before long, Harry, looking rather unwell, finally arrived. Ludo quickly beckoned the warriors over, saying excitedly, "Everyone's finally here! It's time to give you a briefing!"
"Wait a moment, I will pass this bag to each of you in turn, and you will each pick out a model of the little thing you are going to face from it..."
"Oh, right, your task is to collect the golden eggs!"
"Alright, ladies first." With that, Ludo handed the bag to Fleur.
Hibiscus's face was still grim. Trembling, she pulled out a small model—a Welsh Green Dragon with a "2" around its neck. Next up was Krum, who drew number three: the Chinese Fireball Dragon.
"Should you go first or me?" Ike asked Harry with a smile.
"You... no, it's me..." Harry was speechless for a moment, while Ike shrugged and casually pulled out a model from inside. It was a Hungarian wood bee with the number "Number One" written on it.
Naturally, Harry will be the last to appear, facing the Swedish short-nosed dragon.
"It seems... things have changed?" Ike thought to himself upon seeing this result.
"Alright, I'll be leaving for now," Ludo said. "Mr. Streid, when you hear the whistle, go into that area. You'll be the first one."
"Harry, come with me for a moment, may I say a few words to you?"
Ludo pulled Harry outside, muttering something to himself, but with a whistle, he hurriedly left.
When Harry returned, he ran into Ike, who was walking out.
"Go for it, Ike."
"You too, Harry."
Pulling open the tent door and walking along a path, Ike finally arrived at an arena resembling an ancient Roman amphitheater. A cheering crowd surrounded him, erupting in deafening applause and cheers the moment he emerged.
Ike surveyed the audience in the stands. He saw Terry and others holding up a banner that read "Strider will win," and he also saw Stewart waving a flag with great enthusiasm.
In the crowd, he also saw Hermione waving at him, seemingly shouting something. Unfortunately, the scene was too noisy, and he didn't hear her at all; he just waved back as a greeting.
"Mr. Streid, we can begin!" Ludo, the commentator, urged loudly from the commentary booth, seeing that Ike hadn't even glanced at the extremely agitated Hungarian wood beetle since entering the arena.
Upon hearing this, Ike didn't start immediately, but instead placed his wand against his throat.
"Mr. Bagman, I'd like to confirm with you that my mission is to retrieve that golden egg, right?"
"Of course, Mr. Streid, I've already made myself very clear," Ludo shouted.
"Any way or what?"
"Yes, either way!" Ludo seemed a little impatient. "Mr. Streid, please begin immediately!"
Ike nodded, waved to Hermione, and then turned around to face the volatile Hungarian wood bee.
"Da, da, da"
Wearing leather boots, Ike slowly walked towards the Hungarian hornet, appearing quite calm. The dragon, however, seemed more agitated, spewing sparks from its mouth and nostrils with each breath, its powerful wings slamming into the ground.
"My God! What is Streid doing?!" In the commentary booth, Ludo couldn't understand Ekko's actions at all.
With undivided attention, Ike slowly closed the distance to the Hungarian bee. Finally, the dragon seemed unable to restrain herself any longer; having just given birth, she naturally regarded Ike as the one threatening her dragon eggs.
"roar!"
With a deafening roar, a thick pillar of fire shot straight toward Ekko. The intense heat, which distorted the air, drew gasps from the audience, and some even closed their eyes.
"What is he doing? Damn it, it's too late!" The wizards on the sidelines, who were ready to help at any moment, were about to rush out when they saw this, but what happened the next second left them stunned.
Ike continued walking slowly without stopping, and with a wave of his wand, a huge silver-white shield appeared in front of him.
"boom!"
The pillar of fire slammed into the shield, but the intense heat did not budge it an inch. Countless flames scattered around, creating countless sparks on the ground.
The dragon's flames couldn't last very long, but clearly, the Hungarian wood wasp was enraged, and she nearly broke the record for the longest recorded fire breath by a dragon.
One minute, three minutes, five minutes!
For a full five minutes, Ike walked slowly forward through the pillar of fire, stopping about five meters in front of the fire dragon. When the fire dragon finally stopped breathing fire, most of the area was ablaze with splattered flames.
"My turn, everyone."
Ike raised his left hand high, then brought it down hard. The next second, as if struck by a giant iron hammer, the massive body of the Hungarian hornet was slammed to the ground, letting out a painful roar.
It's not over yet!
With a wave of his right wand, two thick, sharp stone spears slowly floated up as the earth trembled.
Without the slightest hesitation!
With a swing of the wand, the stone spear pierced straight through the pair of enormous wings.
"My God, what has he done!"
"What has he done?!"
Accompanied by Ludo's somewhat hysterical commentary, Ike took another step.
"Hoo...Goo..."
The angry fire dragon had only roared halfway through its song when a tremendous force struck it, slamming its head violently into the ground.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
With each thud, the dragon's head rhythmically slammed into the ground, quickly creating a large crater. Large amounts of dragon blood splattered from various places, soon covering the ground.
Hungarian wood bees are among the most ferocious dragons in the magical world, especially those that have just given birth. They have no concept of giving up, and even if they are severely injured, they will not give up the idea of tearing their enemies apart.
Moreover, it was just bleeding; with the fire dragon's powerful physique, it was nothing at all.
"You're being naughty..."
Ike sighed, then swung his left hand down, slamming the dragon's head hard into the ground. At the same time, he raised his wand high, the tip flashing with beams of light.
Countless rays of white and gold light converged above the fire dragon's head, quickly forming a giant sword with its tip pointing directly at the dragon's head.
"goodbye……"
"puff!"
