Chapter 140 Mission

As a spell frequently used by adult wizards, Apparition is neither particularly difficult nor particularly simple.

The real challenge lies in how to persevere after experiencing the pain of separation.

For many people, experiencing such a bloody scene once is enough.

Little Bardy didn't care whether Ike was in pain, and Ike knew he couldn't show his weakness. Enduring the pain of being split again and again, Ike finally succeeded in his first Apparition on the night of the second day.

Then, under Little Barty's astonished gaze, Ike became more and more skilled, until the deadline set by Comrade Old Voldemort, when he could even cast spells without a weapon.

For Ike, once a spell's level is displayed on the system, that spell holds no secret for him; casting spells without a staff or in the air is just a matter of time.

The proficiency level increased very quickly; it only took three days to reach LV3, at which point I was already able to perform the skill silently.

"He's truly outstanding, Master." Peter Pettigrew, holding Old Voldemort, watched from the second-floor window, witnessing firsthand Ike's terrifying talent in magical learning.

"Yes, he is the most outstanding young wizard I have ever seen, in every respect," said Comrade Old Fu.

That's the truth. Before Ike, among the younger generation, the one he admired most, Little Barty, was very rare to be able to obtain twelve certifications in the OWLs exams.

As for the other one, we haven't heard from Comrade Lao Fu for a long time; perhaps he's already dead.

"pity……"

After muttering something, Old Voltaire had Peter Pettigrew take him back to the recliner; he was now even weaker.

That evening, Little Barty fed Old Man Fu dinner as usual—a simple meal, as he couldn't enjoy fine dining anymore. Ike's meal was also simple: just a few slices of bread and some mashed potatoes.

"Ike, I need you to do something for me," said Old Fu, who had regained some strength after eating.

"Please give your instructions, teacher," Ike replied.

“You’re familiar with this matter. Get me some unicorn blood,” Voldemort said. “That should be easy.”

Ike nodded and asked, "So how can I bring them to you, teacher?"

"When you meet someone at Hogwarts who can make your Dark Mark burn, just hand it over to him."

"Okay, I understand." Ike realized that he had already made that plan at this time.

That makes sense, otherwise Barty wouldn't be here. It seems that old Claude has already been affected by Voldemort's Soul-Stealing Curse.

"I believe in you." After saying so much, Comrade Fu was already a little tired. He slightly raised his hand and said, "Go on, go enjoy your vacation."

"But when I summon you, I hope to see you the moment I need to, my student."

"I will, teacher."

Ike stood up, bowed respectfully, nodded to Barty and Peter Pettigrew, waved his wand, and vanished.

"Master, I don't mean to question your decision, but can our little master really give up everything he has now?" Little Barty asked hesitantly.

"He's different from you," Comrade Fu replied. "Knowledge will enable him to make the right choices..."

While Comrade Lao Fu and the others were talking about themselves, Ike was already lying on the bed in the room he had booked. As long as the room fee was paid, no one would care whether there was anyone else inside.

After roughly summarizing the information he currently had, Ike understood Old Fu's thoughts. This was not unexpected, or rather, Old Fu had no intention of hiding anything from Ike.

Even after experiencing devastating failures, and now only slightly freed from the shackles of his remnant soul, Comrade Lao Fu remains the same as always.

He remains convinced that when he returns, his will will once again envelop the whole of England.

In fact, almost the entire magical world believes this.

The next day, Ike returned to Hermione's house.

Hermione didn't ask him what he had been doing outside. Instead, she took out a notebook and asked him a series of questions. In just a few days, Hermione had accumulated a lot of questions, and she asked them all at once.

This was Hermione's unusual concern. After the Forgetfulness Curse wore off, Hermione, who remembered what had happened that night, showed no sign of worry whatsoever.

Of course, Ike wouldn't say it on his own initiative, and besides, someone as clever as Hermione probably already had a guess in her mind.

In mid-August, the couple said goodbye to the Grangers. They first went to Diagon Alley to buy what they needed for the new school term, and then headed directly to Dartmoor in Devon.

The Quidditch World Cup is the biggest event in the wizarding world this summer. In fact, several months of elimination rounds have been underway before the final match. Currently, the intense Round of 16 matches are in progress to determine the two teams that will compete in the final.

Upon arriving in Dartmoor, after passing the inspection by the Ministry of Magic commissioners, the two finally saw the venue for the Quidditch World Cup. The first thing that caught their eye was the towering stadium, followed by the densely packed tents surrounding the stadium. Many people had arrived long ago, mostly die-hard fans of their respective teams.

Only they would come so early; most wizards would only watch the final match, especially the "nobles".

Ike bought the cheapest tent, which contained only a small living room and two rooms, totaling just over forty square meters. But it was enough for the two of them, one room each, making it convenient for studying.

Thanks to Ike's help last semester, Hermione didn't give up Divination class, and in the new school year, she and Ike are still the hardcore students who take all classes at the same time. As is Hermione's habit, she definitely has to preview all the textbooks before the start of the school year, so she even put aside Ike's collection of books and devoted herself wholeheartedly to it.

Ike, for some unspeakable reason, was also very anxious and extremely busy.

Therefore, "cohabitation" is not so wonderful. Two equally busy people can only spare a little time to go out for a walk after dinner, which is their only entertainment for the whole day.

This continued until their friends arrived, which coincided with the fact that the two of them had just finished their own business.

Harry arrived with Mr. Weasley, but Ron had arrived much earlier and moved into the Weasley family's ancestral tent long before Harry. Before Harry arrived, Ron had already fought several matches against Malfoy, who had also arrived earlier.

The most recent incident was witnessed by Hermione and Ike, who were taking a walk. As loyal fans of Bulgarian Seeker Viktor Krum, the two got into a fierce fight over a poster with Krum's autograph.

Although there were many more posters like that at that stall.
