Chapter 12 Hitting Someone in the Face

Chapter 12 Hitting Someone in the Face

The practice of the Disillusionment Spell has reached a stalemate.

This is the most difficult spell Ike has ever encountered to master. Perhaps only the Patronus Charm is more difficult than it. Ike even thinks that the so-called three unforgivable curses are not as complicated as the Illusion Curse.

As expected, the previous assumption that OWLs level was enough to learn it was wrong; it's likely that even most NEWTs graduates would find it difficult to master.

Teaching this to first graders is definitely too much of a stretch.

So here's the question: what did Roger think Ike was looking for?

The workload in the first year was not heavy, and Ike was able to finish the assignments given by the professors quickly by relying on muscle memory.

In this respect, apart from Hermione, no one else is as quick as Ike!

Stuart and Terry were a little slower, but not by much; if they only had one class in the afternoon, they would have finished before dinner. They spent most of the rest of their time at the Quidditch pitch.

Ike had never really understood Quidditch. This so-called competitive sport, which blends elements of football, basketball, racing, and kickboxing, is just a few hundred foul rules; you can tell just how brutal it really is.

As a player, concussions are commonplace, colds and fevers are frequent occurrences, and fractures are even more common. As a spectator, players often fly too fast and too high on the field to be seen with the naked eye, and even with binoculars, it's easy to lose sight of them.

Both the gaming and viewing experiences were extremely poor.

Moreover, as the two worst-performing Quidditch teams at Hogwarts, Ravenclaw has been at the bottom for many years with no sign of rising to prominence.

Hufflepuff has a future star, Cedric, but what about Ravenclaw? Are you going to make Cho the savior?

It would be more appropriate to wait two years.

He cast a Disillusionment Charm on himself, followed by a Manifestation of Prototype, and then picked up his wand after a long absence.

The Reveal Charm has reached level 2, the Disillusion Charm...

This is a disgrace to the time-traveling predecessors!

Tired of staying in the dormitory, Ike simply pushed open the door and left the Ravenclaw Tower, running straight to the Black Lake.

For the past two weeks, Ike has enjoyed coming here whenever he has free time, gazing at the deep, vast lake in a daze. Occasionally, a giant squid from the Black Lake will crawl out of the water, waving its enormous tentacles and stirring up the water, scaring the little wizards on the shore into running around in panic.

Of course, this is of no use to Ekko.

Waterproof spell, warming spell, and cleansing spell combined into one, it's truly amazing once you use it.

Mermaids occasionally appear, but they are nothing like the young, beautiful, and shapely figures that Ike imagined. The freshwater mermaids in the Black Lake are quite ugly, carrying forks covered in algae, and are filthy and disgusting.

Sitting quietly on the shore, Ike was also reflecting on whether he had been too eager for quick success.

For first graders, as long as they don't go to the forbidden forest, there is basically no danger.

However, every time I think of this, a pair of huge yellow snake eyes appear in my mind.

The basilisk is unreasonable!

"I must learn the Disillusionment Charm before Christmas!" Ike silently encouraged himself. "Two months is enough!"

On the way back to the Great Hall, Ike ran into Hagrid dragging several enormous pumpkins, and only then did he realize that Halloween was just around the corner.

Upon entering the auditorium, I indeed saw Professor Flitwick directing the senior students to hang up spider webs and fake bats.

Seeing Ike enter, Professor Flitwick was delighted and hurriedly greeted him, "Mr. Stradl, that's wonderful! Come and help hang these things up!"

"Professor Flitwick." Ike bowed slightly, then waved his wand, and the spider webs and fake bats piled on the ground floated up. With another wave of his wand, he hung them up, and in the blink of an eye, the Great Hall had been transformed.

"Every time I see your levitation spell, I am amazed." Professor Flitwick nodded in satisfaction.

"Thank you for your compliment, Professor Frivi."

After exchanging a few words with Professor Flitwick, Ike returned to the long table in Ravenclaw.

As soon as he sat down, Morag, who was chatting happily next to him, rolled his eyes at him. Ike returned Snape's gaze, and the space next to him immediately cleared.

Not minding, he poured himself a glass of pumpkin juice, added a chicken leg and a few pieces of beef, then filled a plate with macaroni and a large spoonful of mashed potatoes, and slowly began to eat.

I've been practicing the Illusionary Body Spell a lot lately, and my appetite has increased significantly.

Before Stuart and Terry could finish their meal, Ike returned to the common room, picked up the notebook from the 1950s or 60s, and began to read it slowly.

Of course, the "close your ears and listen silently" package is unavoidable.

The next day, there was a Charms class and a Defense Against the Dark Arts class. In the afternoon, there was a Transfiguration class that turned a quill into a fountain pen. By the time Ike came out of the library, the Halloween party was about to begin.

Ravenclaw's only two friends, Stewart and Terry, had saved a seat for Ike. Ike waved to them with a smile and sat down between them with a bright smile.

"I just told Terry that if you didn't come soon, I'd go to the library to find you, and here you are." Stuart patted Ike on the shoulder. "You're something else, spending all your time in the library. I don't have that kind of patience."

"I'm used to it. Reading more books is never a bad thing." Ike picked up a bunch of lively cockroaches and stuffed them into his mouth. Under Stuart's horrified gaze, he swallowed them in a few bites.

"This thing is quite interesting; the legs even move while you chew it?" He picked up another one and handed it to Stuart. "Try it, it tastes excellent!"

"No, no, I think Zizi Honey is more suitable for me."

Ike then handed it to Terry, who was standing to the side. Terry opened his eyes wide and sucked on a licorice wand.

I shrugged, tossed the pile of cockroaches into my mouth, and it was still so stimulating!

Soon after, the banquet officially began.

Countless bats flew across the ceiling, while small dark clouds hovered overhead. The giant pumpkin lanterns Hagrid had cultivated twinkled, and a sumptuous feast appeared on the table.

With a bunch of cockroaches in his mouth, Ike picked up a grilled lamb chop for himself, and while feeling the cockroach legs still moving in his mouth, he slowly dissected the lamb chop with a knife and fork.

The cockroaches were gone, and the lamb chops were deboned. Ike took a sip of pumpkin juice, forked a piece, and put it in his mouth. The rich barbecue sauce mixed with the unique gamey smell of lamb, and a little spicy, was just like the lamb skewers from the old roadside stalls.

After finishing the lamb chops, Ike ate a chicken leg, a pair of chicken wings, three slices of steak, and a large spoonful of mashed potatoes.

Just as Ike was finishing the last of his meatball spaghetti, there was a loud "bang" as Professor Quirrell stumbled in.

"A troll! In...the...underground classroom!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he collapsed to the floor and lost consciousness.

The hall erupted into chaos. Dumbledore, seeing this, waved his wand, and several purple fireworks exploded, finally drawing the young wizards' attention.

"Prefect," Dumbledore's voice was deep, "take the students back to their dormitories immediately!"

"Alright, everyone stay close!" Roger stood up and clapped his hands. "The younger students, stick close to Penelope. I'll be at the very back!"

The eaglets had long since calmed down, and following Roger's instructions, they lined up in two rows and followed Penelope out of the auditorium.

Ekko was also in the team, but his expression turned cold.

He suddenly remembered that, according to the original plot, Hermione was currently in the girls' restroom next to the underground classroom, and would soon be having a chase with the troll!

Ike always had mixed feelings about Hermione. On one hand, Hermione was indeed beautiful as an adult; on the other hand, she was the first person Ike met at Hogwarts.

Moreover, as regulars at the library, Ike and Hermione often bumped into each other there. Although they just sat on opposite sides of the long table reading their own books, it didn't stop them from becoming friends.

Besides, who knows if Harry and Ron, those two unreliable guys, can successfully rescue Hermione!

He glanced in the direction of Gryffindor but didn't see Harry and Ron. Ike hesitated for a moment, then immediately grabbed Stewart.

"If I'm not back in half an hour, remember to go find Professor Flitwick!"

After saying that, while Stuart was still completely bewildered, he decisively cast a silent and incomplete Disillusionment spell on himself, then crouched down and disappeared into the chaotic crowd.

The underground corridor was deserted at night, with few candles lit, making it seem eerie. Ike, wand in hand, slowly walked towards the women's restroom.

They hadn't gone far when they smelled a pungent stench and quickly started running. When they reached the women's restroom, they saw Harry and Ron locking the door.

"That's good, the troll can't escape now." Ron had barely finished speaking when a pitiful, terrified scream came from the women's restroom.

"not good!"

"Hermione!"

Just as the two turned around to open the locked door, they suddenly felt their bodies being pulled apart by an inexplicable force, separating them to the left and right.

"Torn apart!"

As a sound rang out, the door to the women's restroom suddenly burst open.

The two steadied themselves and hurriedly looked into the bathroom, where they saw Hermione covering her mouth and looking at them with a terrified expression, with a huge figure looming nearby.

"Run!" Harry shouted, but before he could finish speaking, he saw Hermione being pulled out of the toilet as if by something. Just as he was about to speak again, the familiar feeling returned.

When he came to his senses, Hermione and Ron were lying half-reclined on the ground next to him.

"Bang, bang, bang..."

Heavy footsteps sounded, accompanied by a pungent stench, and the giant came out again, carrying a thick wooden club.

"Roar!" the giant roared, spitting as it went. It glanced around before quickly running toward Harry and the others.

"Legs stiffen and he dies!"

"Obstacles are numerous!"

With two incantations, the giant visibly staggered, but only staggered, before running towards the three again.

It stopped after running only a couple of steps. It scratched its little head with its right hand, as if wondering where its stick had gone.

Harry and his two friends saw it clearly: the wooden stick suddenly flew out of the troll's hand and stopped above the troll's head in the blink of an eye, and then flew forward with the troll for a distance.

Then, it slammed down...

"Bang!"

With a loud crash, the giant monster collapsed to the ground. The wooden club, seemingly unsatisfied, flew up again, then slammed down, striking the giant monster on the back of the head once more before finally falling to the side as if it had lost control.

Harry felt like he was dreaming. A twelve-foot-tall monster lay just two or three meters in front of him, not at all as scary as it looked, as fragile as a chick.

"What...what's going on!" Ron was terrified and stammered, barely able to speak.

"Okay...it seems like...someone saved us." Harry recovered a little, but he was still stumbling over his words.

"Someone saved us." Hermione calmed down, pulled up the two useless men who were still half-lying on the ground, and cast a cleansing charm on them.

"Then...who could it be?" Ron's voice was still trembling. "I didn't see the professors come over either."

"Of course not the professor." Hermione frowned, wiping away the tears she had shed earlier from fright, and thought to herself.

"Who else could it be besides that guy?"

I just realized I forgot to post one picture; it's been corrected.
