Chapter 977 Anger

When Byron returned, he found the atmosphere in the house to be rather strange.

Saul sat on the huge pink sofa, closing his eyes to rest.

Black vines climbed all over the room, leaving no room to even step.

Four inactive red worms floated around the room, moving between the sunlight and shadow.

"What's going on?" Byron's first reaction was to close the door.

"I have something to ask you." Thor opened his eyes and sat up straight on the soft sofa. "Ask the half-elf."

Seeing Thor's serious expression, Byron nodded and sat down in the chair opposite Thor.

"Go ahead and ask."

"Agu went to see Fiona, but..." Thor thought of Agu's dead-like expression when he returned, and his inner spirit struggling like a fly trapped in a spider web.

Without him saying much, Thor could understand Agu's pain.

That bastard Murridge did it on purpose!

A breathtakingly beautiful face appeared on Byron's face. "I didn't kill Agu's daughter. I once tried to study the Faceless Men in order to break free from the curse of the elves. But I have never hunted down anyone, nor have I tortured or killed any ordinary people. Too intense an emotional change would cause me to transform into an elf."

Thor looked at the half-elf's face, a face that could change according to the preferences of whoever saw it.

In other words, anyone who sees a half-elf will see what they consider to be the most beautiful face.

This might even discourage them from fighting against half-elves.

"Even if he's not the real killer, he can't escape involvement," Penny blurted out from her diary.

It had been trying to communicate with Agu, but had not received any response.

The Nightmare Butterfly's relationship with the other consciousnesses in the diary wasn't very good, but Agu's appearance still made it feel like one of its own was being bullied.

"Brother Thor, let's go kill Murridge! I can give him the worst nightmare ever!"

Thor considered for a moment, then shook his head. "He's with the Stargate Council, currently focused on the Red Worm experiments to complete their migration plan. Alec will absolutely not allow anyone to sabotage his operation. So…"

"So you just stand by and watch Agu get bullied?" Penny said indignantly.

Thor rested his fingers on his chin and suddenly smiled. "Doesn't Murridge like to ruin other people's dreams at the last minute? Well, let's ruin his dream too."

He suddenly sat up straight and said to Byron, "Senior, could you please go to the Observatory and find Ali, and ask him if it's still possible for me to participate in the Stargate Project?"

Before Byron could even nod, Penny had already landed on Little Algae's head. "Wow, Brother Thor, you sound like you're up to no good! I love it!"

Little Algae: "Waaaaah!"

Byron thought for a moment and suggested, "This is a bit too deliberate. Let's find an opportunity."

"That's a great idea," Douglas nodded in satisfaction, then reminded Saul, "but it's also a very dangerous one."

Douglas immediately understood and guessed all of Thor's hidden meaning.
