Chapter 921 Murphy's Proposal

In the Wizarding World, aside from those who died in the war against the Black Tide, most fourth-tier wizards disappeared into the annals of history because their ascension pathways were sealed.

The speed at which wizards advance to the fourth rank cannot keep up with the speed at which the Desperate Ones disappear, so in the end, only a few fourth-rank wizards will remain in the wizarding world.

Now, apart from Gorsa, all the other fourth-tier wizards are over a hundred years old, some, like Murphy, are even several hundred years old.

Murphy led Thor to see the other side of the Storm Sea. In the distance, several tall, slender wizard towers could be vaguely seen.

"The guardians of those wizard towers you see are at least second-tier wizards. In the farthest distance, beyond the reach of the naked eye, there are several more wizard towers. Those require third-tier wizards to guard them. Your mentor, Gorsa, is in the very first wizard tower. "Although fighting the Black Tide monsters here requires battles, it also yields a wealth of rare resources unavailable elsewhere. Thor, have you considered borrowing people from your No Man's Lands to garrison this area?"

"I didn't force the wizards of Rhine City to do anything. I can tell them about it, but I can't be sure what choice they will ultimately make."

"That's alright. You can tell them that the resources they obtain outside the Wailing Wall don't need to be handed over; they can keep them themselves."

"Doesn't the Wailing Wall take a cut?" Thor hadn't expected that.

"The wall is just a wall. During battles, everyone helps each other. There's no such thing as anyone having to hand over their spoils to anyone else. In addition, we will provide resources to the wizards who stay here for a long time. The longer they stay, the more they will receive."

Murphy, acting as a salesman, kept explaining the benefits of working here.

Thor suppressed a laugh and nodded. "Okay, I think there will still be a lot of people who want to come this way."

Murphy patted Thor on the shoulder. "You don't need to worry about them coming back after they've come out. After all, everyone knows you're the Black Tide Doctor now, and lives are in your hands. Haha..."

Seeing that Saul had agreed to his suggestion, Murphy felt he had accomplished his purpose of chatting with Saul that day. He asked Saul, "Would you like to continue looking around? Or go back and rest?"

Now that Thor has come out, he has no intention of going back.

"I want to go directly to my advisor."

Klee still harbors a fear of her mentor, Gorza. Although she came with Thor this time to cooperate with him in battle, she immediately chickened out when she heard that Thor was going to find Gorza.

The atmosphere outside the Wailing Wall was clearly different from that of the Far North City. There was no one in sight, but magical fluctuations could still be felt emanating from different locations.

The sound of the ocean filled the air, and the thick clouds overhead tumbled and swirled rapidly in the wind, their dark hues conveying a sense of impending doom.

Murphy's voice rang out on the sea breeze, "Thor, how about you consider coming to guard the Wailing Wall for a while?"

Saul did not answer immediately.

Murphy turned his head, his expression now much more serious than before, unlike his previous sales pitch. "You're very strong now, almost never failing against the Eye of the Storm. You don't actually need to stay in the No Man's Land like a third-tier wizard before. If you want to go even further, I still suggest you come and stay in the Storm Sea for a while, personally fight the Black Tide monsters here, and experience the world under the changing rules. You might be able to find your path to the future through these experiences."

"Should we stay in the Storm Sea?" Thor considered for a moment.

He had come to visit his mentor, Gorsa, and to discuss the fourth objective of the Symphony of Fate. Staying in the Storm Sea meant enduring the Black Tide's onslaught within the wizard's tower outside the Wall of Sighs. This would prevent him from searching for a suitable target in the far north.

But Murphy's words also made a lot of sense, and Thor was tempted.

Thor gained a great deal from the Black Tide defense battle he participated in during Eternal Night, so it's not impossible for him to do it again at the Wailing Wall.

As for the fourth goal... we can discuss that after we've met with Mentor Gorsa.

"Alright, then I'll fight alongside the Wailing Wall and the wizards here once."

Murphy smiled with satisfaction, but then he said something strange.

"Very well, I'll find someone to help you. However, once this black tide passes, you should leave as soon as possible."

Thor found it strange that Murphy the Wizard suddenly said something like "get rid of me" at the end. Even if the black tide receded, he could stay for a while, couldn't he?

The two stopped immediately and saw a witch rushing from the Wailing Wall.

"Oh, it's Maria!" Murphy asked. "What's up?"

The witch named Maria glanced at Thor, then quickly said, "Lord Murphy, the wizard Risar has returned from the continent of Iskeper and is looking for you."

"Oh?" Murphy frowned, clearly taking this wizard named Risar very seriously. He said to Thor apologetically, "Thor, I have something to attend to here, so I won't be able to take you there. However, Maria is a roving wizard here and has worked at the Wailing Wall for decades. She knows this place very well. Let her take you to Gorsar."

"Of course, no problem," Thor said quickly. "Lord Murphy, please go ahead with your work."

Murphy nodded apologetically again, then turned and flew away, his speed noticeably faster than when he arrived.

Maria breathed a sigh of relief when Murphy returned. Then she looked at Thor and smiled, "Wizard Thor, I'll take you to Lord Gorsa."

Just as Thor was about to agree, he suddenly felt something emerge from the sea beneath his feet.

Maria was a step slower, but she quickly bowed her head as well.

Immediately afterwards, the two saw a half-rotten, giant monster that looked like a goat emerge from under the sea, creating huge waves.

Seeing the rotting goat charging straight at them, Thor wasn't nervous, but he was somewhat surprised. "A Kuroshio monster? The Kuroshio hasn't even arrived yet, how can there be a Kuroshio monster in the sea?"
