Chapter 905 Rehearsal Failed

Chapter 905 Rehearsal Failed

After speculating that Yura would use the entire Kma Palace, or even the entire Kma Royal City, as a trap, Thor began to think about what methods the other party might use to deal with Mentor Gorsa.

"Flim will likely be involved. He was just in the Eternal Night and shouldn't have reached the other side yet. Even with a long-distance teleportation array, getting from the Eternal Night to Kema wouldn't be a quick process."

At this moment, Froco, who had been pulled over by Thor to listen in, spoke up.

[Sol, I don't think Frim will necessarily make it through this time.]

"Oh? What do you mean?"

[Last time, his plan to leave Neflet was foiled by us, leading to the departure of the merfolk and extensive damage to the Red Sea Tree. Therefore, to ensure Neflet's safety, he should not leave again.]

I suspect he might use some kind of sorcery, like a summoning spell, to allow his soul to descend directly into Kema through a coordinated sorcery array on Yura's side.

"But I once saw Frim in a lantern, and it seemed that such elaborate preparations were unnecessary."

"That's different. If he were to focus his attention on a single lamp, he could at most communicate with you or overwhelm some low-level wizards. But if he wanted to kill Gorsa, he would need to devote at least a quarter or more of his mental energy to it, which a single lamp couldn't withstand. It would require a powerful wizard and a special vessel."

After listening to Froco's analysis, Thor fell into deep thought once again.

He secretly led Byron away from the No Man's Land, which was deliberately done to show Frim, and then followed them to the Tribunal.

His aim was to intervene and disrupt the plans of Flim at this crucial moment when he was about to leave the Tribunal again to kill his mentor, Gorza.

Now that it's clear that Frim won't be leaving, the plan needs to be changed slightly.

"I understand, Lord Froco. Are you still at the Wailing Wall?" Thor wanted to see if Froco could participate in this plan.

I'm in the sea. Some distance from the coast of the continent of State.

It seems Flo won't be able to participate.

Thor was not discouraged. Although he did not have the help of a pseudo-fifth-tier, he had received the support of another powerful ally.

After exchanging information with Char and Froco, Thor's consciousness returned to the castle.

Meanwhile, Byron had already begun conducting experiments nearby. Although his recent attention had been focused on the skeletal monsters, Byron had not completely abandoned his Black Tide inerting experiment.

Now, with Flim's commission, he can restart the experiment.

Moreover, the Kuroshio inerting experiment was originally his research topic, and Thor could take this opportunity to implement his own plans.

Thor glanced up at Senior Byron, but did not disturb his experiment. Instead, he walked to a corner, closed his eyes, and meditated, then entered the consciousness platform in his mind.

Although the existence of the Death Wizard's Diary has been exposed—more than three people already know about it, so there's no need to keep it a secret any longer—the true method of using the Death Wizard's Diary is still unknown to others. Only Kismet knows this, so Thor cannot reveal it to anyone else.

Standing on the platform of consciousness, with the constantly blinking stars overhead, Thor took out his diary again.

"How does Frim intend to assassinate Instructor Gorsa? Diary, tell me."

Gorza was very far from Thor, and if their relationship hadn't been so close and solid, it would have been very difficult for Thor to use his diary to warn of his impending death.

He opened the dark red hardcover book in his palm and turned to the blank white pages.

Thin black lines emerge from the pages, stretching towards the distant starry sky, only to disappear halfway through.

Countless thin black lines emerged, gradually filling the consciousness space near the platform, turning Thor and the space he entered and exited into a black and white sketch world.

Only the distant starry sky continued to blink rapidly, seemingly unaffected by the warnings from the Death Wizard's Diary.

After a moment, the black lines contracted, as if they had been wiped away by the wall paint, and the world returned to its colorful, three-dimensional form.

Thor opened his eyes, his expression somewhat serious, a look of confusion in them.

"Why... can't I see any death warning from Instructor Gorsa?"

Thor had just sensed Gorza's presence, but the diary gave no warning, as if... as if... the other party wasn't facing certain death at all!

Thor exited the consciousness platform. The room in the castle was empty. He could only sit in the corner, leaning against the wall. As he thought, he suddenly laughed.

"No, ha, there isn't any at all, hehehe, it's not true at all..."

Hearing Saul's laughter, Byron, who was conducting an experiment, couldn't help but look up.

He saw that Saul didn't seem to have a mental problem, but was genuinely happy, so he thought everything should be alright and lowered his head to continue his experiment.

Anyway, if Thor needs him to do anything, he can just tell him.

After Saul finished laughing, he got up from the ground and walked over to Byron.

Byron didn't stop working, but glanced at Saul to indicate that he was listening.

"I'm going to call Claire over. There are some experimental procedures that only she can perform."

Upon hearing this, Byron finally stopped what he was doing, looked up at Thor with a serious expression, and asked, "Are you sure you want to have Claire conduct the experiment here?"

What kind of experiment requires Clearlove to come over?

Byron didn't even need to guess to know.

He just needed to confirm with Saul, after all, in this place, in the Tribunal... many things needed to be carefully considered.

"Yes," Saul answered Byron earnestly, "In fact, this experiment was prepared for today."

Byron stared at Saul for a moment, then nodded. "I understand."

He then continued his experiment with his head down, as if he had just heard a casual greeting rather than a dangerous decision that was horrifying.

In the days that followed, Flim would come and talk to Saul almost every day.

We will learn about the progress of Thor's current experiments, Thor's vision, and share some of the Tribunal's experience in fighting the Black Tide.

If someone unaware of the situation came over, they would probably think the two were engaging in very congenial academic research.

But Saul knew that it was all an act by Frim, a mere pretense.

Flim also knew that Thor hadn't started the real Black Tide experiments yet. But he wasn't in a hurry; Thor wouldn't give up on cooperating with him before Gorza died.

Three days later, Claire pretended to be discovered by the Tribunal, and then, like Thor, came from the capital of Kerma to the Eternal Night Empire. Under the escort of the dwarf wizard, she entered the abandoned castle where Thor was imprisoned.

Char, the hidden pawn, remained in the royal city, waiting for orders.

Thor greeted Claire in the dimly lit corridor as he entered the castle, watching her jog in.

The dwarf wizard remained outside and did not go in.

Claire kicked the door shut and pulled Thor inside.

"Is it convenient to talk here?" Claire asked.

"Let's go upstairs." Thor grabbed Claire's hand, and the two quickly walked up to the laboratory on the second floor.

As soon as Claire entered the laboratory, she noticed that the magic circle in the middle was designed to prevent prying eyes. She pulled Thor inside and then shook off his hand.

"Are you trying to kill Frim?" Clare stared at Thor, her eyes burning with fury.

It was like anger, disbelief, and perhaps a little bit...excitement?

"No, that would be such a waste of resources," Thor smiled.
