Chapter 9 Those who die are the real trash.
The newly promoted first-level apprentices' dormitories are located on floors six through nine, but most people live on the sixth floor.
Thor thought that when he returned to his dormitory, servants would bring him his textbooks and other things. Unexpectedly, he saw a familiar face at the door of his own room, 604.
Sid, the second-level apprentice in charge of the test, was standing with his arms crossed, looking at Thor walking alongside Claire.
His face was full of mockery.
Thor's heart tightened, and he quickly glanced at the hardcover book on his left shoulder.
The latter remained floating obediently, showing no intention of opening.
He breathed a sigh of relief, steeled himself, and, despite West Germany's cold gaze, walked up to the other person.
"Senior, were you looking for me?" Thor lowered his head slightly, his eyes fixed on Sid's hand.
Level 2 apprentices typically don't appear here.
Many new apprentices were alarmed and stood at a distance, watching with surprise and doubt.
They were all shocked by the way West Germany killed the little fat boy. For children from outside, even just watching was a nightmare.
Even Keli stopped three meters away, watching them expressionlessly.
West Germany lowered his hand, his sarcastic smile widening.
He leaned forward, his mouth almost touching the top of Thor's head. "I know how you cheated to pass the test."
Thor suddenly looked up and gazed at West Germany at an extreme angle.
"However, I will not revoke your apprenticeship." Sid straightened up, crossed his arms, and his tone seemed to soften.
"Did you know that someone with only spiritual power but no magical talent becoming an apprentice... will only suffer a more miserable death! Hahahaha..."
West Germany didn't lower his voice, and Saul could already hear people talking about him behind his back.
"I look forward to hearing the news of your death. If you die a glorious death, I wouldn't mind having your body made into a wax figure and placed on the fourth floor as a warning to those lowly servants."
"No, you're delusional!"
Thor felt a tingling sensation running through his body from head to toe.
Sid was pleased with Saul's pale face. He took a half step back and looked at Saul as if admiring a work of art.
"Well then, I look forward to seeing you next time."
He gave a cold laugh, his face darkening completely, and turned to leave.
The apprentices in the corridor all made way, standing close to the wall, afraid that any part of their bodies might block their seniors' path.
Once the person had disappeared around the bend in the slope, Thor let out a long sigh of relief, finally feeling his stiff limbs regain their sensation.
He lowered his head, preparing to return to his room, without looking at the stares of those around him, knowing they wouldn't look good.
Becoming a wizard's apprentice was his choice; he knew his aptitude and talent weren't exceptional. Therefore, even amidst the doubts and ridicule of others, Thor wouldn't give up.
As I reached out to open the door, another hand slammed down on it.
Thor looked up and saw Duke's distorted face.
"Shanqi... he actually lost his life because of a piece of trash like you?" Duke's chest heaved. "Those without talent have no right to learn witchcraft! Go back to your servants and rot away!"
A fire rose from my heart, burning so intensely that my throat felt like it was on fire!
Thor suddenly stretched out his left hand.
The skeletal hand gripped Duke's head tightly, like squeezing a ball!
The hair and skin were slightly dented due to the pressure from the bones, and even the skull made a fragile cracking sound.
Duke's foul language turned into wailing.
"Ah! Ahh! Ah—"
He was slowly forced to his knees by Thor's immense, irresistible strength.
"Those who lose their lives... are the real trash!" Thor said through gritted teeth.
He looked up at the various expressions on the faces of the people in the corridor, and his hand began to exert force again.
"Aaaaaah!!!"
Duke's wails grew sharper, like a needle piercing into everyone's brain.
Everyone couldn't help but step back.
However, a hand suddenly landed on Saul's left arm.
Thor turned around with red eyes and realized that Claire had somehow appeared behind him.
She looked at Thor with an indifferent expression, as if Thor wasn't killing people, but eating.
Claire held up the apprentice rulebook in her hand and waved it in front of Thor.
"Rule number three: apprentices must not kill each other; violators will be skinned alive. If you really want to kill him, next time we'll find a secluded place."
Claire didn't lower her voice either, so that Thor and Duke, who was kneeling on the ground, could hear her clearly.
Perhaps it was the slight coolness between the clappers, or perhaps it was the gentle breeze stirred by the books, but Saul felt the fire in his heart was no longer so intense.
He let go and watched Duke, his face bearing deep finger marks, scramble and crawl into the crowd.
"You're right." Thor watched Duke flee, then called out, "Let's find a secluded spot and kill him again!"
Thor ignored the stares of those around him and pushed open the door to return to his dormitory.
When he turned around to close the door, he found that Claire ducked down and crawled under his arm.
Thor paused, then slowly closed the door.
"You didn't bring any luggage?" Claire strolled around Thor's room with her hands behind her back.
Thor didn't say anything.
Claire walked back to Thor. They were both teenagers, but Claire looked a little taller than Thor.
"How did you cheat? Did you fake fainting to escape the magic test?"
Thor turned his head away.
Claire then turned to face Thor. "Don't you have good magical talent?"
"Um!"
Thor didn't get angry at Claire, the only one standing by his side; instead, he just snorted.
"It's a bit tricky if you don't have good magical talent; you might run out of spells and magic before you can cast them all," Claire said curtly.
"However, your mental talent is still the best among those who performed in the test that day."
Claire suddenly extended her right hand towards Thor.
"Geniuses should associate with other geniuses. Hello, I am Keli, the first place winner in the magic talent test."
"...Sol".
After a moment of silence, Thor placed his right hand on it.
……
Suddenly, I had a friend out of nowhere.
After Claire left, Thor sat at the table, recalling the somewhat cringeworthy scene from just now, and his lips twitched involuntarily.
However, he quickly regained his composure.
Unlike Keli, who still enjoys the reputation of being a genius, his cheating reputation will likely spread far and wide.
But Saul had no time to consider what others thought; in order to become an apprentice, he was caught in a mystery that even he himself couldn't see clearly.
The anger I felt just now stemmed more from fear of West Germany.
Reason has now returned.
Saul tore off a piece of paper and wrote a few names on it with a pen.
Brown.
West Germany.
Kong Sha.
Keli.
Duke.
Brown has been deliberately targeting me. And it seems like someone is behind it all.
Saul wrote the word "enemy" after Brown's name.
West Germany harbored deep animosity towards Saul. Saul even suspected that West Germany was the man behind Brown.
The hardcover book had also warned Thor that Sid would kill him after testing his magical talent. Adding to that Sid's actions today—blocking his door and spreading word about his talent…
Thor wrote "sworn enemy" after his West German name. Unfortunately, Thor currently has no way to deal with this sworn enemy.
Fortunately, now that he has become a wizard apprentice, the other party should not be able to directly attack him.
"Next... Kongsa," Thor murmured the name of the person who changed his destiny.
He wrote a question mark after Kongsa's name.
Kongsha's terrifying appearance and mysterious methods instilled in Thor a deep sense of dread. Currently, Thor has no idea what Kongsha wants him to do.
Being weak, he could only take things one step at a time.
Thor bypassed Claire's name and turned to the last name.
Duke.
Even though I've already vented once, I still feel annoyed when I see this name.
He picked up his pen and quickly wrote after the name: "Big Fool..."
"Knock knock knock!"
The knocking interrupted Saul's actions. He crumpled the paper on the table into a ball and stuffed it into his pocket.
The door opened, and a beautiful girl of seventeen or eighteen appeared before Thor. She was dressed in a very revealing maid outfit, and with her chest out and buttocks raised, she pushed a small cart in a pose that was extremely attractive to young men.
The truck was piled high with books, school supplies, and daily necessities, reaching about half a person's height.
She lowered her head and smiled at Thor, her smile perfectly timed and sweet. "Good afternoon, Lord Thor. These are the books and tools you need for your studies. Would you like me to help you move them inside?"
Saul took the handrail from the cart. "No need, thank you."
The maid bent over deeply, her high breasts almost touching Saul's nose.
"Does the gentleman require any other services from me?"
