Chapter 878 The Missing Stuart

Chapter 878 The Missing Stuart

"This is... Stuart's soul?!"

Thor was shocked.

He had just expended a great deal of energy to finally bring his fate line closer to the location emitting the abnormal fluctuations. However, the front end of the fate line entered a new square corridor.

Although it has no eyes, judging from the senses it receives, it is exactly the same as the Lost Corridor where Thor is now, with no difference in the length of each corridor.

The line of fate had only lingered here for a moment when it sensed a familiar soul, or rather, a familiar force of fate, approaching it.

He waited for a while and then discovered that the person who came was someone he knew.

"Stuart?"

Saul was somewhat surprised and almost couldn't maintain the already thin thread of fate.

"How did Stuart's soul end up here?"

Thor intertwined his own fate with that of the other person and found that it was indeed the familiar feeling he knew.

"If Stuart, like Royer, has entrusted his soul to Frim, then why hasn't Frim resurrected him yet?"

"No, Stuart is a member of the Black Flame Empire. Airo cannot tolerate Flim resurrecting Stuart. Unless he doesn't intend to use Stuart anymore."

When someone is resurrected, there are multiple ways to continue controlling that person afterward. Therefore, if Stuart was resurrected by Frim, it means that Frim is very likely secretly controlling Stuart.

It's impossible for Frim to secretly resurrect Stuart and then send him over.

A person who has just been resurrected is in a different state than one who has been seriously injured.

Royer's unusual behavior was quite obvious from the start. This was the first time Thor had seen someone who had just been resurrected; next time, he would be able to recognize what state a newly resurrected person was in.

Flim clearly found Stuart's soul, but didn't give it to Aurora for resurrection. There must be something he's hiding from Aurora.

"The hidden dangers within the tribunal can also be exploited."

Such a massive organization couldn't possibly be a monolithic entity. Thor is now trapped in this iron cage, forced to search for any cracks within it.

Thor tried to get Stuart's attention, but found he didn't react much. Stuart wandered the square corridor like a dazed zombie.

"Stuart is not in good form!"

When Thor realized this, his fate line finally gave way and could only slowly retreat from the other side.

He lay back down on his soft pink sofa, feeling somewhat exhausted, looking up at the deep, dark corridor above him, which had no ceiling.

"Stuart... seems to have had his consciousness forcibly extracted. Why is Frim treating Stuart like this?"

Thor tapped his hand incessantly on the sofa armrest. "Is Frim going to try and extract my consciousness too?"

If such a thing were to happen, Saul would have no choice but to use his diary to escape Frim's exploration of his inner world for the time being.

As for using the consciousness platform to retaliate against Frim... he hadn't even considered it.

Even Ophelia, the weakest of the fourth tier, could easily leave Thor's consciousness platform, so Frim would be even less affected.

That would actually make it easier for Thor to expose his secret.

However, Saul can use his diary to cover up his secrets.

With that in mind, Thor immediately began making preparations.

Although they found a Stuart who wasn't very useful, it did teach Saul how to guard against Flim, so it wasn't a complete waste of time.

As Thor continued to plan his escape from the Lost Corridor, in the far north of the continent of Statt, outside the Wall of Sighs, the fourth-tier wizard Murphy teleported to the outside of a remote and secluded wizard tower.

As soon as he appeared, a wizard apprentice immediately emerged from the wizard tower.

"Lord Murphy." Haywood bowed respectfully, but his face showed great difficulty. "Lord Gorsa said he is in deep meditation, recuperating from his injuries, and will not be able to come out for a while."

This clearly means they don't want guests.

A third-tier wizard instructed a wizard apprentice to speak to a fourth-tier wizard.

If it were anyone else, they would be accused of being ungrateful.

But the other party is Gorsa.

Murphy could only sigh.

got used to.

"I know Gorsa might not be in a good mood right now."

No one is happy after failing to get promoted, even if it's a very difficult three-to-four promotion.

Given Gorza's pride, he must find it difficult to accept his defeat.

However, Murphy still wanted to see Gorsa, "to tell your master that Thor is currently imprisoned by the Tribunal, and they are likely after him."

Heywood looked up in surprise and met Murphy's calm yet wistful gaze.

"Why did the Tribunal imprison Saul?"

Although Thor is now a third-tier wizard, a level that Haywood, an apprentice with no hope of becoming a full wizard, cannot reach, Haywood still cannot help but worry about Thor.

After all, he knew very well how much Gorza valued Thor.

Murphy did not answer Haywood's question. Even if he was a recognized valiant and great fourth-order wizard, the most important pillar of the Wailing Wall, he would not easily answer the question of a wizarding apprentice.

Heywood immediately realized his abruptness and rushed back to report the matter to Gorsar.

Unexpectedly, Gorza still showed no intention of meeting Murphy.

A moment later, Haywood emerged with an even more embarrassed expression than before.

"Lord Murphy, I'm very sorry, but Instructor Gorza is in very poor condition and unable to come out to see you."

Murphy frowned slightly.

Heywood continued, "Also... he asked me to tell you that Saul's matter is for him to handle himself. His mentor isn't Saul's father."

That's quite a blunt statement.

Although the original intention was to refer to Saul, it was also offensive to Murphy, the messenger.

Fortunately, Murphy wasn't angry. He just shook his head and left with one last sentence.

"Alright. But tell Gorsa that not everyone can tolerate his willfulness. Also, don't lock yourself up after failing to advance. I can give him a year off to go out and see the world. Staying in the wizard tower will cause him to miss out on a lot of knowledge."

After saying that, the wizard Murphy disappeared.

Heywood slumped, nearly collapsing to the ground.

Although Murphy hadn't shown any obvious change in expression, his imposing aura still made Haywood's brain feel like it was about to explode.

He hurried back to the wizard's tower in Gorsa, where he felt much better.

Then, he looked up and saw Gorsa.

Gorsa, who should have been in a bad mood and had a strange temper, was tilting his head and even had a smile on his face.

"Mentor." Haywood quickly lowered his head. In recent years, he had become increasingly afraid to look his mentor in the eye.

Perhaps Murphy is right; Gorza was not his mentor, but his master.

"I don't need others' tolerance."

Gorsa's voice, tinged with laughter, came through the phone.

"But Murphy is right, I should go out and explore. Staying in the Wizard's Tower will make me miss out on a lot."
