Chapter 759 Ophelia's Request

After the Dark Moon Era, the path for wizards to advance to the fifth rank and travel to other worlds was cut off.

But even in the new moon calendar, the world's only remaining fourth-order wizards did not give up searching for a way to advance.

The tribunal pinned its hopes on the Eye of the Abyss, the culprit.

The Stargate Council refuses to relinquish control of the only Stargate.

Meanwhile, Ophelia, the lord of Sky City and an independent force, has been searching for the path to advancement for ancient wizards. She believes that even if the world changes, the path that once led to fifth-tier wizards will not be completely severed.

Through the efforts of all the wizards in Sky City, and their desperate research, Ophelia also obtained several methods that seemed to be for advancing to the fifth rank of wizard.

However, these methods either lack important information, are obviously too dangerous with no chance of survival, or lack the corresponding witchcraft resources.

"Sometimes, I really envy the gods worshipped by those ignorant people of ancient times. Do you know Bichye?" Ophelia said with a lot of emotion, and casually asked Thor.

Saul gestured for her not to worry and to see what Pelle had to say.

Ophelia was somewhat surprised, yet also somewhat bewildered, upon seeing Per.

"No wonder Thor found us so quickly. It turns out you were the one who reminded him."

Pei'er snorted coldly, "So, just stop with that hypocritical act. Others may not know your situation, but do you think I don't?"

The other head, Nerella, had its head bowed, its chin almost touching its chest.

Pei'er continued, seemingly unconcerned about exposing Ophelia's secrets in public, "If those ancient wizarding methods were truly suitable for you, would you still have betrayed me to participate in the Stargate research?"

Pei'er gritted her teeth. "I've never been to the Stargate. The only way they can learn about me is through you. If you hadn't provided all my information to the Stargate Council, how could they have dared to make that idiot a guinea pig for exploring the Stargate's coordinates?"

"She really is a fool," Ophelia said quietly. "We've already told her not to separate her emotions when separating her consciousness. Yet she still created a separate version of you. Now it seems you have a fairly independent consciousness, and even if Perle comes back, it will probably be very difficult for her to take you back."

"Even if she comes back, I'll devour her! With a brain like hers, how could she possibly survive in this world?"

Pelle puffed out her chest, seemingly wanting to take a step forward, but the power to move was still in Nerella's hands. This second-tier wizard didn't dare to step forward to face Ophelia, and her feet remained firmly planted in place.

Pei'er's mission failed, and all she could do was glare at Nerella. Fortunately, she remembered the mission she had come out of.

"In short, you don't need to pretend in front of me anymore. Even if you really are researching a method to advance to the fifth rank, aren't all your clones busy with that? How could you possibly not have time to connect to the Illusionary World? Whatever your conditions are, just state them quickly. If you're too slow, I'll have Thor go find Alik directly. Ophelia wasn't angry. "You're right, I am more interested in the Rainbow World, but it's true that I'm very busy right now."

She looked at Thor, "If you really want me to try connecting you to the Rainbow World right now, you need to accept a commission. Only if you accept this commission can I spare some of my energy to help you communicate with the Rainbow World."

Saul nodded. "This can indeed be seen as a deal. Tell me what it is, sir."

Ophelia suddenly lowered her voice, "A third-tier wizard recently died in Sky City... He drowned."

Drowning?

For some reason, Thor suddenly thought of the white porcelain kitten he had seen on the airship.

Could that artifact really be so powerful that it could even kill a third-tier wizard?

Thor's expression remained unchanged. "You want me to investigate the cause of death of that third-tier wizard?"

"That's not all. He died while helping me research an ancient method for advancing in rank as a wizard. But he betrayed me."

Ophelia's voice didn't reveal whether she was angry about her subordinates' betrayal.

"The Bichye I mentioned before were barbarians who enjoyed killing and bloodshed in ancient times. The method of advancement I've found this time comes from a being known as the Water God in ancient times."

Thor thought to himself, "A being called a water goddess? It seems Ophelia doesn't really accept that title. Well, I'm in the Chaotic Realm now, and I'm called the Judge of Death, aren't I? If Noah were a little bolder, I'd be the Grim Reaper by now."

Ophelia seemed oblivious to Thor's distraction, or perhaps she noticed but didn't care. She continued, "The deceased third-tier wizard was named Krum. He used to be a wizard from the continent of Neflet. After he came to Sky City, I didn't care about his background and gave him several biographies related to the ancient water god to study. Who knew he would actually discover traces of the ancient water god?"

"However, after he discovered the traces left by the water god, he did not report it to me. Instead, he found a room with six walls frozen and secretly studied it inside."

Pei'er suddenly burst into laughter, saying mercilessly, "Looks like your men have found a way to evade your surveillance. A frozen room, no liquid water, hahaha... ugh!"

Pelle's laughter suddenly stopped because, at Thor's prompting, Nerella covered her mouth with her hand.

Saul turned his head. "Please continue."
