Chapter 746 An Invitation from the Tribunal

Chapter 746 An Invitation from the Tribunal

"Are you wizards from the Tribunal? What brings you here?" Thor nodded slightly in return.

"We came to investigate the issue of Archist and Bydon Academy secretly cultivating high-risk demonic creatures. However, it seems that Lord Thor has already resolved this disaster."

Thor looked back at the archaeologist in the distance.

Is it resolved?

Perhaps, for the tribunal, the biggest uncertainty has been brought under Saul's control.

Unless they also want to wrest the upside-down tree from Thor's hands, the source of this riot has indeed been eliminated, but the disaster caused by the upside-down tree has not been resolved.

There are no living people left in the inner city of Archaeologists, but there should be some survivors in the outer city.

This sacrifice was a disaster for them.

"Will the tribunal send people in to search for survivors?" Saul asked.

The opposite side, however, shook its head very decisively.

"If they were ordinary people, they would have been completely corrupted the moment the inverted tree erupted. Even if they were still alive, they would be barely clinging to life. As for the wizards, those who survived the moment you stopped the disaster were naturally saved. They will come out on their own."

That's how terrifying wizards are.

For ordinary people, being slaughtered by wizards is more terrifying than encountering a natural disaster.

Even if they don't die directly from the disaster, they will die later from the various forms of radiation pollution caused by the wizards.

"I was naive," Thor said with a self-deprecating laugh.

"You stopped the disaster from spreading. This is not naivety, it is nobility." Shadu smiled, patting Saul's horse without blushing.

Thor, the one being praised, found it ironic, while the other party remained completely unfazed.

Shadu then changed the subject, "May I ask, has the dean of Baidong Academy been executed by you?"

He is dead.

"That's good. With the Upside-Down Tree in your hands, we can rest assured." Shadu implied to Thor that the Tribunal would not compete with Thor for the Upside-Down Tree.

He then extended an invitation to Saul.

"Furthermore, Lord Saul, our Lord Frim would like to invite you to the Court of Judgment. When would be a convenient time for you?"

The Chief Justice invited Saul to the Tribunal.

Thor did indeed intend to travel to the continent of Neflet in order to set up the pentagram magic circle for the Symphony of Fate.

But not now, Xiaozao is still waiting for his tree seeds.

However, an invitation from a fourth-tier wizard is not something that can be easily refused.

Claire, who had been listening quietly to Saul and the people from the Tribunal, stood up nervously at this moment.

She had heard from Thor that the rebellion at the Gorsa Wizard Tower might also be related to the Tribunal.

It's just unclear what their attitude towards Thor is now.

After a moment's consideration, Saul said, "I would be willing to go to the Tribunal to meet with the Chief Justice, but I have very important matters to attend to and cannot depart immediately."

Shadu quickly smiled and said, "It's all my fault for not being clear. We are the ones who invited you. If you have things to take care of, we will naturally take care of yours first. Of course, we still hope that you can come to Neflet within a year. We can send a special airship to pick you up at any time."

The other party spoke very politely, but clearly gave Saul a one-year deadline.

As domineering as ever.

"I understand." Thor stopped smiling and nodded slightly.

Shadu smiled and bowed again, then left with the three silent wizards behind him.

"What do the people from the tribunal want with you?" Claire asked, somewhat worried.

Watching the Tribunal members leave, Thor took a bite of a rabbit's foot. "It's either related to the No Man's Lands or to Mentor Gorsa."

"Should we ask Lord Gorsa for help? Isn't he at the Wailing Wall? He's much closer than Neflet," Claire suggested.

Thor shook his head. "My mentor might not have the time."

When they parted last time, Instructor Gorsa had clearly told Thor that he should prepare to advance to the fourth rank after he returned.

This is absolutely the most important thing for Mentor Gorsa right now.

Thor didn't want to bother him with his own affairs and disrupt his promotion.

He also hoped that Instructor Gorsa would be promoted as soon as possible.

After all, is it even necessary to consider whether a fourth-level mentor or a third-level mentor is more presentable?

"Then I'll go with you!" Keli puffed out her small chest, holding up most of a roasted rabbit in her hand.

An and Agu did not express their opinions.

Wherever Thor is, they're bound to be there too.

"We'll see when the time comes," Thor said, waving the rabbit's foot in his hand. "Let's eat first."

The two chatted about their experiences while eating.

"So where do we go next? Are you going to take the upside-down tree back with you?" Claire asked, sucking on her fingers.

Saul did not tell her about the Symphony of Fate.

Knowing about this would actually be a burden for her and would hinder her promotion.

"I've entrusted the upside-down tree to a capable person. Let's go back to the No Man's Lands first; Senior Byron is there too." After a pause, Thor asked her, "Would you like to come with me to the No Man's Lands? I've built a wizard's tower there, but there aren't many people there yet."

Claire smirked, "This is the first time I've ever seen a kidnapper ask the kidnapped person for their consent."

After saying that, she awkwardly smoothed her long, metallic hair. "As long as you don't mind that I'm only a first-tier wizard and can't help you much right now, that's fine."

Thor immediately showed a look of disgust.

"I definitely dislike you, but aren't you preparing for a promotion? How about this: if you don't get promoted within three months, I'll hang you on top of the Wizard Tower as a banner, okay?"

"Why a flag?" Claire was confused by Thor, but she suddenly realized what was happening and punched Thor on the shoulder.

"Flag my ass!"

"Hey, how come a marquis is using foul language?"

"I learned it from you! By the way, are you going to roast your cat too?"

"No thanks, it's too expensive."

The two chatted and laughed, bickering as if they had returned to their days as wizard apprentices, completely forgetting the pressure from the Tribunal.

Agu and An stood aside watching, finding it both funny and enviable.

Wizards are inherently rational beings who let reason prevail over emotion, so how many can retain such pure emotions after advancing to the third rank?

"Master's advancement was too fast and too smooth; he doesn't have much of the imposing presence of a third-tier wizard," Agu sighed.

An rolled her eyes at him, disapprovingly saying, "Prestige is something only people with empty airs and no real strength need to use to intimidate others. I think Master is fine as he is now."

……

The evil wizard Thor, who was rushing back with the seeds of the upside-down tree and the captured marquis, was unaware that Byron, who was guarding the Spirit Cleansing Wizard Tower, suddenly had a dream.

Just a moment ago, Byron was engrossed in the laboratory, conducting a complex culture experiment.

But the next second, he suddenly lost consciousness and slammed his head onto the lab table. The bottles and jars in his hands fell to the ground and shattered.

Suddenly, a phantom, human-shaped shadow appeared in the dark space, rippling like water.

The shadow was colorful, constantly changing colors as it moved, and just looking at it made Byron dizzy.

But Byron wasn't nervous; he'd seen similar scenes before.

He soon realized that he had fallen asleep, and had been passively put to sleep.

Because such a scenario has happened many times in the past two years.

However, to his surprise, the figure in front of him actually spoke this time.

"Hello, Byron."

Byron asked expressionlessly, "Who are you?"

The figure opposite fell silent for a moment.

"I've almost forgotten everything. You can just call me... a half-elf."

Byron's eyes widened slightly.

Does anyone still remember half-elves?
