Chapter 63 Triple Curse
Chapter 63 Triple Curse
Sid, who came out from behind the door, shrugged and didn't come in. He just crossed his arms and leaned against the door frame.
"Yes, it's me, but how could you forget again? You should call me 'senior'!"
Thor clutched his chest in pain, staring at West Germany with a ferocious expression.
"You want to kill me? Aren't you afraid that Instructor Kaz will skin you alive?"
Sid chuckled, his face full of disdain. "Who said I was going to attack you? It was clearly you first-level apprentices killing each other. I was just passing by and kindly helping to collect your corpses."
"Do you think you can fool the professors?"
"Do you think the mentors really care about a few apprentices? Especially dead ones?" He glanced at the messy lab benches and cabinets, and scoffed. "You're trying to make an antidote? That's an idea, but what you've been poisoned with isn't poison, so medicine won't work."
Thor started moving along the conveyor belt, while Sid stood at the door without coming in or stopping him.
It seems they intend to wait until Saul dies on his own.
Thor moved to the teleportation portal, grabbed the black tassel, and shouted inside, "Senior! Senior!"
The bright candlelight overhead made Saul's face appear pale.
West Germany laughed again.
"You think someone's coming to rescue you? Hayden happens to be busy today, he's not here," he said sarcastically. "Byron in Morgue Number One turned thirty a few days ago and has already left the Wizard's Tower, and hasn't found a successor yet. Right now, it's just the two of us on the second floor of the East Tower."
"What exactly did you do to me?" Thor moved to the other side, leaning on the teleportation platform, seemingly trying to find a useful potion on the experimental table.
"I already said it's not poison." Sid's smile vanished, replaced by impatience. "Hurry up and die, let me collect your corpse."
Seeing that Saul still wouldn't give up, Sid decided to extinguish his last hope.
"You're under a curse. If your patron, Kongsha, were here, she might be able to break it. But she's taking her apprenticeship test today, so even if you go to her, she won't have time to come."
Thor's movements froze as he looked at West Germany, despair finally showing on his face.
"Wow!"
He lowered his head and spat out another mouthful of black blood.
Trembling, he collapsed.
The heavy body accidentally knocked over the wrench next to the conveyor belt, and the conveyor belt started to hum.
Thor twitched twice on the ground and collapsed helplessly.
A genuine smile finally appeared on West Germany's face as he strode in.
He wasn't afraid of Saul feigning death; he had plenty of ways to control a new apprentice.
He was afraid that he would act too late and the diary would escape again.
Sid crouched down and reached out to turn Saul's body over.
At that moment, behind him, a woman with only half a face emerged slowly from the conveyor belt, her black leather tassels swaying in the breeze.
The teleportation platform hummed, masking the barely audible incantations.
A crystalline ice dagger swiftly formed in mid-air. The one that Bissor summoned with his wand was much larger, just like a real dagger, and it stabbed fiercely towards Sid's back!
At the last moment, Sid suddenly realized something and leaped forward.
But he was a little too late. He dodged the fatal wound, but the icy dagger still pierced his abdomen, leaving a bloody hole that was quickly frozen.
If Sid hadn't lunged forward, the ice dagger would have pierced his heart.
Before Sid could turn around, he immediately cast a defensive spell behind him.
A semi-transparent barrier appeared between Kongsa and Sid, blocking the Lesser Cold Pearl that was about to be thrown at Sid.
The cold air instantly condensed into beautiful ice flowers on the transparent barrier.
Before West could catch his breath and regain his footing, an icy dagger silently appeared to his left.
West Germany was no ordinary man either; he melted away like a candle.
The dagger pierced through, taking away some of the candle solution, but the remaining portion quickly coalesced and returned to its original state as a whole West German.
However, the large hole in West Germany's abdomen did not heal.
This witchcraft can only evade damage, but it cannot help Sid heal his previous wounds.
Meanwhile, Kongsa's other ice dagger had already formed in mid-air.
West Germany's face turned deathly pale.
Kongsha is the most powerful among the second-class apprentices because she can continuously cast first-level witchcraft without fear of a certain degree of mental and physical fatigue.
West Germany, after using defensive magic and first-order wax melting, must catch his breath for a while to calm the shock in his mental body before he can cast a spell again.
Otherwise, the spell might fail, resulting in significant self-inflicted damage.
As the third ice dagger rapidly formed in mid-air—the newly released Frost Pearl could accelerate the formation of the ice dagger in the air—Sid had no choice but to take out his most treasured possession.
West Germany lowered his hand, and a human-shaped sculpture appeared in his palm.
The moment Kong Sha saw the sculpture, her eyes changed. She immediately neutralized the icy daggers in the air, and at the same time, her brain splattered as she forcibly stopped the spell.
Within the glass skull, countless eyes appeared, all fixed intently on the doll sculpture in West Germany's hand.
"How dare you carry an elf sculpture with you all the time? Aren't you afraid it will suddenly go insane one day?"
Sid took the opportunity to calm the shock in his mental body. Under these circumstances, it was also very dangerous for him to take out the elf sculpture.
However, Sid still wore a nonchalant smile. "I have my own way. If I don't bring this out, you probably won't even give me a chance to speak."
Kongsha attacked him as soon as she appeared, and then launched a series of deadly attacks. Sid didn't even have time to chant spells, let alone stop Kongsha.
"Kongsha, we don't really need to fight to the death for a slave." Sid glanced at Saul on the ground, who looked pale and had black blood oozing from the corner of his mouth, as if he would die at any moment.
Sid was about to achieve his goal, and he couldn't help but get excited, "especially since it's just a slave who's about to die."
"But he's useful to me," Kongsha said coldly. "What did you do to him?"
"Just a triple curse," Sid said nonchalantly.
"A triple curse?" Kongsha spoke, her eyes still fixed on the sculpture in Sid's hand, not a single one disappearing into the brains. "That requires three lives... So you sent those three new apprentices to Saul to kill?"
"Yes, this kid's ruthless; he never hesitates to strike. Although he didn't actually kill the first person, the death aura surrounding him comes with the death that had fallen before him." Sid proudly stated his methods. "Now, Kongsha, are you still going to fight me for someone who's destined to die?"
Kongsa's eyes darted to Saul and then quickly returned.
Seeing Kongsha hesitate, Sid continued to escalate the situation, "I only want this brat's corpse to vent my anger, you can take everything else."
Kongsha remained silent, seemingly acquiescing.
West Germany cautiously held up the sculpture in his hand, his eyes fixed on Kongsa, and slowly approached Sol.
Meanwhile, on the ground, Thor barely managed to lift his head to look at West Germany, who was getting closer and closer, and anxiously looked at Kongsa.
However, Kongsa's eyes were fixed on the sculpture in West Germany's hand, and she seemed to pay no attention to Sol's plea for help on the ground.
West Germany took a step forward while keeping his eyes on Kongsa.
Suddenly, he stomped his foot heavily on the ground, cracking the stone bricks beneath his feet.
West Germany, using the force of the rebound, leaped backward, ignoring Thor on the ground, and fled directly towards the gate.
The next instant, two icy daggers descended from above, piercing diagonally through the spot where Sid had just been standing, striking the ground heavily and destroying two stone bricks.
"Tsk!" Kongsha sighed regretfully.
That West German was really wary; if he escaped today, he might not have such an opportunity for "self-defense" again in the future.
The elven sculpture in Sid's hand also prevented Kongsa from casting spells on a large scale.
If the mental state fluctuates too much, it is possible to fall into hallucinations due to the elven sculpture without realizing it.
That would be too dangerous.
West Germany, on the other hand, had a ferocious expression on its face.
By fleeing, he essentially gave up a chance to pick up a corpse that was right in front of him!
Fortunately, the diary itself was simple and unadorned. Even if Kongsa saw the hardcover book that had fallen from Saul's body, she probably wouldn't have cared.
He still has a chance to take it back.
Just as Sid and Kongsa were filled with regret, a figure suddenly appeared behind the scarlet door and punched Sid, who was running out headlong, back.
