Chapter 629 Entrance to the 3th Tier

Chapter 629 Third-Tier Entry

Thor didn't hear the wind chimes, but his scattered soul threads immediately sensed the seemingly real yet illusory wind chimes.

The milky white, shell-shaped wind chimes move automatically without wind, their chaotic and disorderly movements giving one a sense of weightlessness, as if falling into an abyss, at first glance.

It is the wind chime of the dream weaver Clark.

"Clark!" Lucy looked up and shouted at the wind chimes, "Kill Kismet!"

Kismet paused, then turned and fled towards the back door without hesitation.

However, the room suddenly stretched out, and no matter how hard Kismet ran, he couldn't get close to the door.

Kismett seemed to realize that he couldn't escape Clark this way, so he immediately stopped abruptly and stomped his foot.

The bricks and stones on the ground instantly shattered one by one, and the loud noise seemed to have a new magic, causing the wind chimes overhead to sway stiffly.

Out of the corner of her eye, she also noticed Thor behind her and immediately saw that Lucy, who had originally intended to launch a sneak attack on Kismet, suddenly clutched her head and collapsed to the ground.

It looks extremely painful.

Thor, on the other hand, couldn't hear anything and didn't feel any other attacks.

Thor immediately cast a spirit armor spell to filter out some of the magic, making Lucy behind him feel a little better.

When Thor turned his attention back to the front, he found that Kismet had disappeared at some point.

The wind chimes overhead resumed their disorderly swaying.

Thor then treated his minor injuries and regained his hearing, before looking down to check on Lucy's condition.

Uh...it's a terrible sight.

He took a cloak from the storage device and draped it over Lucy's body, which was barely covered in any cloth.

Lucy's body was covered in huge wounds cut open by the sound waves. Although she didn't bleed thanks to witchcraft, her skin was torn and her flesh was exposed, making her look quite horrific.

Thor took out a potion and handed it to Lucy, who sat down against the wall, clutching her cloak tightly, but refused Thor's potion.

"Thank you, but I can't take my medication right now."

Lucy's snow-white shoulder was still exposed, and the huge wound on it was slowly healing. It closed up again in just a few seconds, and even the incision was fading rapidly.

It didn't resemble witchcraft or self-healing abilities; rather, it seemed like the use of some kind of tool.

Thor simply took the potion back and drank it himself.

He also had some minor wounds on his body, all caused by the aftershocks of Kismet's attack.

Just as Thor got up, he suddenly felt a hand grab his throat and lift him up.

Thor felt as if his neck was about to be snapped.

He immediately wanted to retaliate, but couldn't catch any sign of an attack.

With both hands pressed against his neck, they did not touch the arm that was choking him.

Everything seemed like air, all his own imagination.

Like a dream without logic!

"Ugh..." Thor tried to leave his body, but found that the arm that was holding his throat was also holding his soul.

This made it impossible for him to leave his body.

Just as Thor's eyes widened and his hands were about to transform into tentacles, Lucy suddenly spoke up.

"Clark, let go of Thor!"

Lucy's wounds had all healed, and she managed to get up from the ground.

Although she was disheveled and still wearing Thor's cloak, she had now straightened her back and nodded, regaining her composure and haughty demeanor.

However, Clark only slightly loosened his grip, not completely letting go of Thor.

Thor gripped Clark's wrist, trying to break free with magic, but found that whenever he wanted to cast a spell, a strange drowsiness would prevent him from mobilizing his mental energy.

Lucy frowned. "Mr. Clark, Thor just saved my life from Kismet. Whatever your past conflicts with him, please put them aside and at least give him a chance to explain."

Just then, a gust of wind swept in, blowing the already messy furnishings in the room to the wall.

When the wind stopped, Pei'er was already standing in the center of the room.

Seeing Thor being restrained, she was about to step forward, but then stopped.

"Clark, let go of Thor."

Facing Pelle, Clark gave her a cryptic smile. "Feeling sorry for your little sweetheart?"

Thor's lips twitched.

Pei'er's face stiffened, then she rolled her eyes in apparent impatience.

"This kid has some talent; I'll keep him around because he'll be useful."

"You mean his ability to clean up pollution?" Clark said with a smile. "That's not bad, but I prefer to keep this special ability in my own hands."

Clark suddenly pulled Thor closer. "For example, I could just eat his soul, and that way I'd know what his abilities are."

Upon hearing "eat souls," Pei'er's eyebrows twitched, sensing that he was implying something.

She lowered her head, deliberately adopting a humble posture. "His abilities are useful to me, and besides, you know his identity."

Clark narrowed his eyes. "Of course I know, you overconfident little wizard who's plotting with you to kill me."

Lucy was taken aback, and the words of pleading she was about to say remained unspoken.

Thor looked terrified and mumbled a scale, as if he wanted to beg for mercy.

With a fierce glint in her eyes, Pell suddenly rushed forward, transforming into a whirlwind. She disregarded Thor in Clark's hands and directly trapped the two of them.

……

After the whirlwind subsided, Pelle reappeared. She stared blankly at the corpses of Clark and Thor on the ground.

Lucy, standing to the side, was so frightened that she backed away repeatedly, looking at Pei'er as if she had seen a terrifying monster.

Peier lowered her head again, but her gaze fell on Thor, who was lying on his back on the ground with unfocused eyes.

"What happened? I... I killed them all?" She unconsciously clenched her fists, feeling empty inside, without any sense of satisfaction at having avenged her family.

"It's a dream." Ophelia's voice suddenly rang in her mind.

Pei'er breathed a sigh of relief, but then tensed up again.

"I didn't even realize it. Has Clark already reached the fourth rank?"

"Heh." Ophelia chuckled dismissively. "Even if he really eats you, it will only increase his chances of reaching the fourth tier."

Pei'er tried to break free from the dream, but found that even though her strength had almost fully recovered, she still couldn't find any flaws in the dream.

"Ophelia, it's time for you to make your move, as agreed!"

Pelle didn't need Ophelia to kill Clark herself, and the latter couldn't transmit such powerful energy through her own body.

All she needed was Ophelia to free her from the clutches of the dream. As long as her mental strength wasn't disturbed by the dream's invasion, she was confident she could keep Clark in the old manor forever.

However, Ophelia, who was supposed to keep her promise, suddenly fell silent.

Pei waited for a while.

Degrees and seconds are like years.

"Ophelia?"

"Ophelia!!!"

Her face instantly contorted in rage.

……

Thor, seeing that Pelle had suddenly stopped and remained silent, immediately realized that Clark had attacked her.

It's very likely that Pei'er has now been pulled into a dream.

Saul immediately panicked and tried to distract Clark.

Once Ophelia makes a move, Pelle will be able to break free from the dream quickly. If Clark relaxes his guard at this moment, it will be the best opportunity to launch a sneak attack!
