Chapter 628 The Powerful Kismet

Chapter 628 The Powerful Kismet

Are you still here?

Thor's voice caused the stain, which seemed to have dried up for a long time, to suddenly react.

The sounds of fighting outside were becoming increasingly clear, and it seemed they would soon enter the room.

The black stain finally reacted, and a human face slowly emerged, exactly like the witch Thor had seen before who had emerged from the black stain.

The same kind of incompleteness and corruption.

Seeing this face, Saul understood that she had lost her chance to recover.

That little bit of rationality that allows her to communicate is probably just a lingering inertia from her memories before she was alienated.

The witch looked at Thor. "My toy."

"Actually, you can't control this manor at all. The true owner of the old manor was actually a giant carrion rat."

The mask-like face tilted slightly, trying to look at Saul. "It was my only playmate during that time. It said if it ate me, it could take me everywhere."

A smile spread across his dark face.

"What does it matter whether the master of this place is a human, a monster, or a rat, as long as I can regain my freedom?"

The witch's face quickly dehydrated, and even the stains on the wall developed numerous fine cracks.

Some black residue fell down, revealing the dark yellow wall behind it.

After the giant rat dies, the witch who depended on it will also disappear.

"But I don't hate you, my lovely toy. This eternally illusory life isn't what I want. Now, the source of pollution that bound me has collapsed, and I am about to be free."

The black face smiled silently.

Because of the alienation and contamination, the witch cannot move, but she also cannot die.

Just thinking about this kind of pain makes one feel like ants are crawling all over their body.

"Even if freedom comes only to be followed by death," Thor silently completed the words the witch hadn't said.

"boom!!!"

The room door was suddenly blasted open.

A golden electric grid suddenly exploded.

Even though he was still some distance from the gate, Thor felt the hairs on his body stand on end.

Just as he turned to look at the door, the woman's face suddenly emerged from the grime and whispered something in Saul's ear.

Then, it seemed that all the energy was used up.

The witch's face, along with the stains on the wall, dried completely in an instant, then fell from the ceiling with a crackling sound and shattered into pieces.

No one could tell that there had ever been a person there, a desperate soul.

The witch's consciousness vanished completely as the pollution dissipated.

"Clang, clang, clang!"

The next second, another witch staggered backward into the underground room and stepped onto the black ash on the ground.

She was covered in wounds, her clothes were tattered, and golden arcs of electricity flickered from head to toe, making her look extremely disheveled.

"Miss Lucy?"

Thor never expected that when he saw Miss Lucy again, she would look like this.

Upon hearing Thor's voice, Lucy's first reaction was to launch an attack on him.

Several bolts of lightning twisted into the shape of pythons and headed straight for Thor with tremendous force, the scorching currents containing a chilling killing intent.

Thor, still maintaining his flight ability, retreated rapidly.

However, after missing its target the first time, the electric python turned around and attacked Thor again.

Sol backed away, his lips moving incessantly.

He then had nowhere left to retreat, and pressed himself against the corner of the wall.

The next second, the giant electric python suddenly opened its massive jaws towards Thor in the corner.

At the same moment, a barrier of golden arcs of electricity suddenly appeared in front of Thor, withstanding the electric python's first attack and then channeling its current into the nearby wall.

The nearby walls were instantly charred black and emitted a burnt smell.

Seeing Thor's series of responses, Lucy, who was originally about to make a move, was stunned and quickly withdrew.

"Are you Thor?"

Thor's hair stood on end as he peered through the gaps in the electric shield at Lucy.

"It's me, Miss Lucy. Don't you recognize me?"

Lucy breathed a sigh of relief and stared at the door again.

"Just now, a powerful and chaotic radiation suddenly emanated from the roof, affecting our consciousness. We even felt an irresistible urge to attack each other."

"Is Lucy trying to explain that she was under some kind of influence and attacked me subconsciously?" Thor thought to himself. "No, when she saw me, her expression was clear, and her eyes changed from wariness to terror. It doesn't seem like a reaction influenced by violence."

Lucy's words might not be true, which made Thor even more wary.

Lucy didn't notice Thor's wariness; she kept her eyes on the door as if some enemy might appear at any moment.

She glanced around and was shocked to find many highly decomposed corpses.

"You've been here the whole time? We've been looking this way." Lucy seemed to be asking Thor, but she didn't notice Thor's reaction and kept staring at the door.

Just as Thor was about to speak, suddenly!

A long, slender arm rested on the open door.

Then Kismet, with his hair disheveled, peeked out from behind.

"Ah! Got you!"

Kismet's gaze then shifted to Thor beside Lucy, his smile growing even wider. "Caught another one."

Looking at Kismet's expression, Thor figured he was probably having another fit of madness.

Lucy looked at Kismet with obvious nervousness, as if she had just suffered a loss at his hands.

"What are you doing? Why did you suddenly start fighting?" Thor was also backing away, not wanting to get involved before he understood the reason.

"He's gone mad. He suddenly started attacking us when the chaotic radiation came from above. He destroyed Redbeard's body, severely injured Brando, and has been chasing me ever since."

"Heh!" Kismet chuckled in agreement, then suddenly made his move. He didn't seem to take out a harp, but the strings rang out.

"Watch out!" In the urgency, Lucy only had time to warn Thor before her body erupted with golden lightning once more, like a giant flower bud enveloping her.

However, a large number of electric lights trembled violently amidst the sound of the string, and then shattered one by one.

Finally, Lucy was blasted against the wall behind her and then fell down.

Thor watched in astonishment as everything that happened in the blink of an eye.

He knew Kismet was strong, but he didn't expect that Kismet would be able to almost completely overwhelm Lucy, who was also a second-tier elite.

Kismet's sonic resonance attack seemed more powerful than any Thor had ever seen before, easily breaking through the magical barrier created by Lucy.

Moreover, Lucy had been running away and defending herself, clearly knowing that her attacks could no longer harm Kismet.

At that moment, Kismet glanced at Thor and said in a sinister voice, "Don't rush, after I kill her, you'll be next."

Thor's expression was serious, but he was actually completely confused.

Kismet grabbed at the air with both hands as if grasping taut strings, then swung his arms, and a piercing piano note pierced Thor's ear canal, slamming hard against his eardrums.

Thor's newly erected magical protection was almost rendered useless by the sound of the string.

He immediately felt a warm sensation in his ear canal, and then the surroundings became quiet.

But Lucy on the other side fared even worse. She tried to generate electricity again, but was once again blasted away against the wall.

Three huge wounds burst open on his chest, as if a giant beast's claws had slashed across him.

The scene before him had been completely silenced. Thor had a sudden thought, and his soul left his body to attack Kismet from behind.

His head instantly transformed into a dense ball of yarn, which expanded and filled the entire room as it unfurled.

They then grabbed at Kismet from all sides.

Just as Kismet was about to attack Lucy again, he turned around, flicked his fingers through the air, and instantly severed several thin threads.

But there were too many thin threads made up of those souls, and even after they were cut, they remained tangled together.

Kismet raised an eyebrow before getting up and stepping back.

A large number of soul threads landed, but instead of causing any damage, they coalesced and became a new Thor.

In this way, Thor took the opportunity to stand between Lucy and Kismet.

A fleeting smile crossed Kismet's eyes, which instantly turned into a crazed, twisted expression.

However, he raised his hands, about to unleash the terrifying sonic magic once again.

Suddenly, milky-white wind chimes appeared from the ceiling of the room, swaying gently above the three people's heads without making a sound.
