Chapter 504 Another Chapter of Chui Shou Valley
Chapter 504 Returning to ChuiShou Valley
Maria didn't stay in Gorsa's wizard tower for more than five minutes before quickly leaving, making an excuse that she had to visit the next wizard.
Gorsa returned to the lab, walking straight past the bucket on the ground, casually leaving the Black Tide, which the two had just been discussing and researching, behind him.
As he approached the wooden frame against the wall, his skin began to heal layer by layer, as if the wounds he had just suffered were merely an illusion to deceive others.
As Gorza walked, he reached his hand toward his chest, where pale skin had just begun to grow.
Then the robe automatically parted slightly.
His fingertips pierced through the skin behind his robes, down to his chest, and then hooked outwards, pulling out a dark shadow.
The shadowy figure was thrown at his feet, and it slowly wriggled, taking shape and color, gradually transforming into the likeness of Yola.
However, Yura seemed somewhat lost at this moment, no longer displaying the madness she had shown when she intended to overthrow the wizard's tower.
Gorsa looked down at Yura, who was sitting sideways on the ground. "Did you like that woman's skin?"
A flicker of disgust flashed across Yura's bewildered eyes: "I don't like it."
Gorsa shook his head with a faint smile and said, "What a pity."
He continued walking and came to the wooden frame that Mary had not noticed.
The wooden frame was fixed to the wall. The bottom layer contained some commonly used witchcraft materials, and the top four layers were filled with similar-looking spherical beakers.
Each beaker was filled with a clear liquid, and in the center of the liquid was a thin, gray shadow that looked like a strand of hair.
These gray shadows were still swaying slightly up and down.
Yura got up from the ground and followed Gorsa curiously. "What are these?"
Gorsa said, "These are some soul fragments I collected specifically in the original Wizard's Tower and after arriving at the Sea of Sighs."
He pointed to a thin, whitish figure in the second row and said, "That's a half-elf. It was very cheap; I traded it for a little magic."
He then pointed to a fragment of soul in the third row and explained, "This is Prince Aruba of Knath. Kira was too fierce; I only had time to collect this little bit."
When Yura heard Kira's name, her eyes flickered slightly, but the flicker quickly disappeared, and she calmly said, "Boring."
Gorsa shook his head with a smile, "No, it's not boring at all."
He picked up the fourth bottle in the fourth row. The "hair strands" inside looked ordinary, but the moment he was lifted, they twisted and tried to penetrate the container and enter Gorsa's fingertips.
However, the spherical beaker suddenly lit up with a light, stopping the gray shadow's attempt.
Gorsa laughed even harder. "Look how lively it is! Even with just a tiny bit, it still yearns for a body. This is my favorite fragment of spirit so far. It's a sliver of spirit that Thor tore off from his body by those mouths after he accidentally entered the candle tube. When I arrived, the mouth that had swallowed this sliver of spirit had already mutated, but the sliver of spirit was still intact inside it."
"This is... Thor's soul?" Upon hearing Thor's name, a complex emotion flickered in Yura's wavering eyes.
"Yes. Do you know what that mouth mutated into?" Before Yura could guess, Gorsa continued, "Eyes grew from every tiny slit in its lips."
Growing eyes isn't such a terrifying change.
But when Yura pondered Gorza's words again, a look of horror suddenly appeared on her face. "You mean, after the mouth devoured Thor's soul... it mutated into eyes?"
"Yeah, isn't that interesting? A human spirit can actually corrupt a vengeful spirit? Heh..."
Yura's face darkened. "Only evil spirits can corrupt vengeful spirits."
"Not necessarily. Thor's consciousness is pure, unlike an evil spirit." Gorsa shook the beaker in his hand, watching the inconspicuous gray shadow wriggle its fingers, trying to enter him, only to be intercepted again. "The Black Tide and the Starry Sky can also corrupt vengeful spirits."
Yura couldn't understand. "What do you mean by that?"
This time, Gorsa didn't explain further. "I haven't figured it out yet, so I can't tell you. The next Black Tide is coming soon, and I need to advance to the third tier again before then."
He carefully placed the fragments of Thor's soul back onto the wooden shelf.
Unable to feel Gorza's fingers, the fragments of his soul quieted down once more.
Yura exclaimed in surprise, "Weren't you already at Tier 3?"
Gorsa shook his head, his platinum eyes narrowing. "Last time was too rushed, and I wasn't too satisfied with the results of the promotion. I need to change direction and try again; that should be able to revive you."
However, the moment Yura heard the word "resurrection," she trembled violently. She quickly covered her ears with her hands, hunched over, and screamed.
Gorsa simply looked calmly at the pained Yura. "It seems the pollution last time was still too severe, leaving you with considerable psychological trauma."
He placed his hand on Yura's head, and Yura's body was instantly frozen in place.
A moment later, Yura lowered her arm, looked up at the handsome man in front of her with a bewildered expression.
"Who are you?"
Gorsa smiled gently, "I am your lover."
……
A few days later, Thor and his group arrived at the entrance to the Valley of the Fallen Hands.
Seeing the steep slope ahead again, Thor's expression was somewhat complicated.
"To enter the No Man's Land, you must pass through the Valley of the Fallen Hands."
At this moment, Thor was alone; all the other consciousnesses had been stored in his diary. Even Penny had reverted to a silver butterfly bookmark, obediently pinned between two black pages.
Thor needs to cross the Valley of the Fallen Hands and enter the unclaimed land on the other side. The smaller the fluctuations of his mental energy, the better.
The mountain road is steep, and ordinary horse-drawn carriages cannot pass normally.
But Sol has small algae.
It emerged from the back of Thor's neck, ran outside, first binding the carriage tightly, then shooting out eight branches that braced against the ground to support the entire carriage.
From a distance, it looks like a large black spider.
Then, the little algae nimbly moved its eight spider legs, steadily sending Thor down into the valley below.
The area near the entrance to Tsubate Valley is very clean.
Saul saw the bodies of two apprentices lying across the road.
The bodies were already highly decomposed, but their apprentice robes were still brand new and would likely take much longer to begin to fall apart.
Despite the two not-so-good-looking corpses, the entrance to Drift Valley was really clean.
Thor squinted, and the meditation technique of the evolution diagram began to operate. He did not see any spirits nearby.
It looks like someone cleaned it specifically.
"Let's go." Thor put away the algae and let Marsh continue driving.
Marsh looked a little scared, but the mushroom on his head wriggled even more wildly.
"Don't worry, although we will pass through the Drift Valley, we will avoid the most dangerous areas."
During the Battle of Chui Te Valley, the area with the most casualties was in the middle of the valley, while the two ends of the passage were relatively safer.
Morton had lived in the Valley of the Fallen for over a hundred years. Although he lived in a daze during that time, he knew which places were more dangerous and which places were where terrible evil spirits and pollution gathered.
With Thor's current strength, as long as he doesn't deliberately go to the places where evil spirits are most concentrated, he shouldn't be in too much danger.
If he encounters a small group of evil spirits, he can handle it by himself.
The horses pulling the carriage were blindfolded and their ears plugged, and they were only guided by the reins of Marsh.
However, after the carriage had been deep in the canyon for some time, Thor found that not a single evil spirit came out to bother him.
Everything was calm, as if they were walking on the official road of the Principality of Kema.
Just as the people in the diary began to discuss the tranquility of the valley, a corpse suddenly appeared hanging from a cliff in front of the carriage.
The cliff sloped downwards, wider at the top and narrower at the bottom, so the corpse hanging there swayed precariously, without anything to hold onto.
The body was not hanged. The rope binding it went straight through the skull, suspending the person in mid-air.
The blood that had flowed out had turned dark brown and seeped into the tattered robes.
Thor glanced over and immediately confirmed that there was an evil spirit in the corpse.
This was the first evil spirit he saw after entering the Valley of Falling Hands.
The second update will be tonight.
