Chapter 254 Master

Chapter 254 Master

This Herman was the same one Thor had seen in the Valley of the Fallen; his body and clothes were almost transparent, and one could easily pass through him to see the stone platform opposite.

He also looks a bit silly.

His temperament was completely different from that of the living Hermann.

"Hermann?" Thor called his name.

Hermann did react to his own name, but he merely stared blankly at Saul.

"Although he still retains consciousness, it is already very blurry, almost dissipated."

"Indeed, if I had continued to talk to the book and Herman's black page, that page would probably have disappeared like Bill."

Looking at Herman, who was like a walking corpse, Thor thought of the other two and quickly tore off the second black page.

The moment the page hit the ground, it transformed into Morton's form.

Morton looked even stranger.

He was also nearly transparent, only slightly more solid than Herman, and was clearly about to run out of energy and dissipate.

But what truly surprised Thor was his appearance.

Morton's upper body is normal, but his lower body has five human legs!

Each leg is completely different in thickness and size.

They came from completely different people.

"Lord Morton?" Thor asked tentatively.

Morton, on the other end of the line, was momentarily stunned, but he quickly recovered, looked at Thor, and said in surprise, "You? You're Thor? It was you!"

He recognized the boy he had possessed, but after a moment of shock, he was not angry. "Although I was communicating with you, my consciousness was blurred. I don't remember dying or becoming an evil spirit."

Morton looked down at his hands. "Even now, I can feel that I'm being controlled, only that I've had a brief period of mental freedom."

He looked at Thor with an incredibly complex expression, then suddenly changed his form of address, "Your abilities... are even more powerful than I imagined."

"I'm only a level two apprentice right now. I'm not as powerful as you think." Thor didn't explain much; it was best that he alone knew the information in the diary.

Morton saw that Thor was unwilling to say more, so he did not press him. After all, Thor was now at the mercy of others, and his survival was in their hands.

Morton tried hard to hide his inner fear.

He didn't even dare to think that if Thor's abilities were unlimited, could he use them to control all souls?

What is this?

Lord of Death?

Or perhaps we should use a more common, ignorant term—the Grim Reaper?

Morton had just thought of this when he immediately realized that his condition was somewhat unstable.

The light spots around the stone platform, which were originally as tranquil as the starry sky, suddenly emitted an incredibly terrifying pressure.

The pressure quickly materialized, making Morton instantly feel the immense pressure that threatened to crush his internal organs.

Seeing Morton's sudden, somewhat ferocious expression, Thor, completely oblivious, narrowed his eyes. "Lord Morton?"

Morton shuddered, as if he had been awakened from a nightmare, and immediately composed himself, ceasing all further thought.

He understood that this was not an ordinary world, and that contemplation could bring terror.

"I feel more alert than before. Is there anything you need me to do?"

Morton looked a little nervous.

"Not for now." Thor smiled and tore off Agu's page.

Agu's body appeared even faster than Morton's.

"The more conscious a person is, the faster they appear," Thor concluded his observation.

After Agu came out, he didn't ask anything right away, but instead cautiously observed his surroundings.

Looking at the huge stone platform beneath my feet, the pitch-black void, and the light source in the void that resembled stars.

He couldn't hide his surprise. "Is this the world side?"

"The World Side?" Thor's heart skipped a beat. He had heard Billy mention the World Side before, but it seemed to be related to elves.

Upon hearing Thor's voice, Agu quickly turned around and respectfully bowed to Thor.

"Excuse me, Master."

He noticed that his body was semi-transparent, while Thor opposite him looked exactly like a real person.

This second-tier wizard, who had lived for hundreds of years and had served as a librarian for the Gorsa family for a long time, immediately understood his predicament.

He had absolutely no interest in moving around freely for the time being.

Because he understands that sometimes, the more free you seem, the more you are actually bound by invisible constraints.

When Agu saw the five-legged old man next to Thor, he immediately ran to Thor's side and stood in front of him with a wary expression.

It's even closer than Morton.

"Master, are they spirits you subdued?"

"Master?" Before Thor could speak, Morton realized, "Yes, actually I should also call you master."

He disregarded the difference in strength between himself and Thor, and respectfully bowed slightly.

Herman, who had been standing blankly in the distance, suddenly spoke up, "Master."

Thor opened his mouth, intending to tell them that they didn't need to address him that way, but he swallowed the words back down.

There's no need to tell them the truth; it's better to let them fill in the blanks with their imaginations.

Based on past life experiences, the most terrifying thing is self-deception.

The two most lucid, Agu and Morton, locked eyes, and a faint spark seemed to fly between them as their gazes met.

Seeing this, Thor's lips curled up slightly, thinking to himself, "Calling him master isn't entirely wrong. After all, the survival and demise of these people are entirely in my hands."

Ignoring the subtle struggle between the two beside him, Thor looked at Herman, who seemed to be in a daze, and said, "I have a feeling that if I don't take care of him, he might disappear before I can ask him a question again."

Transforming into a humanoid spirit also seems to consume energy; Herman is now even more transparent than when he first appeared.

His hands were almost invisible.

Herman had only said one sentence, and his body was already showing signs of collapse.

Within the space of consciousness, the exhausted consciousness will turn into tiny snowflakes, either scattering into the endless starry sky around them, or being taken away and absorbed by the diary.

"Let's try to replenish Herman's energy first. It's fine if he becomes the guinea pig; it won't matter if he disappears."

Saul approached Hermann.

The two spirits behind them quickly followed.

It really does act like the master.

Approaching Herman, Thor extended his right hand. "In the world of consciousness, my actions are the most direct manifestation of my consciousness. So if I want to transfer energy to Herman, I'll just do it!"

His right hand suddenly softened and deformed, turning into an octopus tentacle in the blink of an eye.

Herman, who had been in a daze, turned pale instantly upon seeing Thor's tentacles, and his whole body trembled.

The opponent's instinctive reaction immediately made Thor stop.

"No, that's not right." Thor retracted the tentacle. "In my understanding, tentacles are transformed to facilitate feeding. I need to preserve Herman's consciousness now. If I touch him with the tentacles, they might automatically devour Herman."

We need to try a different approach.

"Since I can transform myself into an octopus to accelerate absorption, then I should also be able to transform into other forms to transfer energy in the opposite direction."

"What form should provide energy to others? It must conform to my understanding; otherwise, it will create a deviation and cause different effects."

Thor's first thought was of battery generators, but these things were too complex to transform into their form using only his imagination.

"Provide energy to others...save Herman..." Thor mused.

Agu and Morton, standing behind him, watched Herman disappear, both feeling a pang of sympathy and daring not to utter a sound to disturb Thor.

Suddenly, Thor swung his arm out again, and the tip of his hand had turned into a syringe.

Inside the syringe, tiny sparkles of light rippled, like snowflakes swirling in the wind.

The very tip of the syringe is gathered together, becoming a long, thin needle.

Morton and Agu, standing behind Thor, exchanged a glance as they watched the two changes in Thor's arm, their hearts filled with turmoil.

Since the master can change his ideology at will, isn't he afraid of alienation and contamination?

Beyond disbelief, they felt an even deeper tremor in their very souls.

Agu looked at Morton's lower body, which had transformed into five human legs, and gave him a probing look. Morton, however, just shook his head with a wry smile, indicating that his situation was completely different.
