Chapter 183 Whispers of the Elves

Chapter 183 Whispers of the Elves

Thor immediately stepped aside. "Come in. 117 has some influence on me."

Upon hearing this, Kongsha did not hesitate to squeeze through the small crack in the door that Thor had pushed open.

She saw the bottles on the cart as soon as she came in.

"Is this the whisper of the elves?"

"You haven't seen this before? Are you sure you want to use it?" Thor raised an eyebrow.

"It's just that it's smaller than I imagined..." Kongsha didn't hesitate any longer and immediately took out an iron box.

The lid was lifted, revealing a broken doll.

Although it had been several years since they last met, Saul recognized it as the doll that West Germany had once used.

Upon seeing the elf doll that had once made Kasha and Byron nervous again, Thor was no longer so afraid. He stepped forward to examine the doll.

I don't know what Kongsha has done to the doll these past two years, that it has turned into this state.

Having seen Kongsha's doll, Thor believed that she was capable of deciphering elven whispers, so he quickly went through the notes.

"You can open the bottle, but you can't take the branch out, and you can't spill the liquid inside."

Kong Sha nodded.

Without hesitation, she stepped forward, carefully but quickly opened the bottle containing the twig, then took out a small silver knife and, without hesitation, cut off a piece of her tongue.

The tip of the tongue falls.

It landed right on the doll in her hand.

The doll, which was originally motionless, suddenly came to life and opened its mouth wide.

The mouth was a dark hole, with an empty cavity extending into the doll's body.

The severed tongue tip landed in the doll's mouth. With the wound facing down and the tongue tip pointing upwards, it got stuck in what appeared to be the throat and surprisingly moved a little.

A splash of red appeared simultaneously from the corner of Kongsa's and the doll's mouths.

The two of them seemed to have the same mouth at that moment.

Thor, standing to the side, saw the bright red tongue but simply looked down at the time without expression.

Kongsha said it would only take a few tens of seconds, and ten seconds have already passed.

Seemingly noticing Thor's movements, Kongsa quickened her pace again.

She held the doll's head between two fingers and slowly inserted it into the bottle opening.

Under their watchful eyes, the doll touched a green leaf on the branch.

At the same time, Thor's eyes quickly glanced to the left before turning back to stare at the tree branch, then he squinted.

He entered a semi-immersive meditation.

Kongsha opened her mouth wide, and blood flowed uncontrollably from it.

The doll in her hand opened its mouth to the same extent.

A chanting-like voice emanated from the puppet's mouth, ethereal, melodious, and captivating, drawing the listener in completely.

In Thor's vision, a semi-transparent human face appeared on the doll's face.

The face was very blurry, but it could be vaguely discerned that it was a woman's face.

Apart from that, nothing else is visible.

He turned to Kongsha, whose face did not show any pain, but she tilted her head to listen.

As time went on, Kongsha's expression grew increasingly solemn. In the end, several of her eyes were pressed tightly against the glass, her pupils locked, revealing an incredulous astonishment.

Thor stopped his semi-meditation and looked down to check the time again.

Five seconds have passed.

With only twenty seconds left until the agreed time, Kong Sha showed no sign of stopping.

"Konsha," Thor stepped forward, "Fifteen seconds left."

Kongsa did not respond to Thor, but the doll in her hand suddenly turned its head. The doll's simple brown-painted eyes looked at Thor through the white shadow covering its face.

Thor and the doll exchanged a glance and immediately noticed that their movements seemed to be slowing down.

The time illusion I just experienced was indeed caused by something from the elves.

Without hesitation, he immediately took out a red candle from his pocket and placed it on the cart.

Spirits seem to be able to influence a person's perception of time, but they probably can't affect the dead. Perhaps no one's spirit is more chaotic than the hordes of corpses in a morgue.

Just as Saul took out the lamplighter hidden under the cart, the doll in Kongsa's hand spun back around.

The slow-motion effect on Thor immediately disappeared.

But he continued moving, the lamp holder gradually approaching the candle wick.

"Konsha, and..." Thor glanced at the clock, "Ten seconds. Nine, eight..."

Although there were still ten seconds left, Thor had already started activating the light source.

Just as the flame from the lamp was about to burst forth, Kong Sha suddenly stopped.

The ethereal singing disappeared, and even the elf doll fell silent.

Kongsha kept her head down, not looking at Thor, and silently put the elf doll back into the small metal box. She casually wiped the bloodstains from her face with the back of her hand, then resealed the glass bottle containing the elf's whispers.

After putting everything back in its place, she put the small metal box into her pocket and nodded to Thor, indicating that she was all right.

The hourglass clock also showed exactly one minute.

Thor breathed a slight sigh of relief.

If he could, he didn't want to break ties with Kongsha.

The title of "Strongest Level Two Apprentice" is not just empty words.

Saul placed the lamplighter across the cart, positioning it conveniently for him, and then went over to open one of the metal doors for Kongsa.

"There are less than two minutes left, you'd better hurry back."

Since Kongsha completed the ceremony, she has appeared very depressed. Even the eyeballs in her mind no longer appear, and an unusually oppressive atmosphere surrounds her.

She remained motionless while Saul tidied the cart.

Kongsa turned away silently only after Saul opened the door for her.

Just then, a figure suddenly entered from outside the door.

Saul was startled and immediately backed away to his cart.

Kong Sha, who had been brooding, suddenly looked up, her brain churning, her magic surging wildly, and ice crystals condensing around her head. She was about to make her move right there, regardless of everything else.

However, when the person outside the door finally appeared and revealed their face, Kongsha was stunned and actually dispelled the witchcraft that was about to be activated.

Saul, standing behind Kongsa, also recognized the newcomer as Haywood, who was in charge of the first warehouse.

Heywood had changed into a short silver silk cloak, so much so that neither of them recognized him immediately until he looked up and revealed his face.

His heterochromatic eyes took in the entire scene inside the door.

"Did I disturb you?" Haywood smiled. "Don't be so nervous, I was just passing by."

But when Heywood's gaze fell on Saul's cart, he stopped himself from taking the step.

Saul thought he would lecture him, but instead he turned to Kongsa.

"Although I'm not really qualified to say this, I still advise you: don't follow in the footsteps of the elves; you'll only get a fleeting, beautiful dream."

As he spoke, one of Haywood's purple eyes suddenly turned to Thor alone. "They're all expendable pawns. Accept your fate."

Upon hearing this, Thor seemed thoughtful, but still kept a wary eye on the two of them.

These two know each other, and their relationship is quite close!

Kong Sha bit her red lips tightly, and a trickle of blood seeped from her teeth. She couldn't speak, but she shook her head violently.

The thick white liquid inside the glass dome shook violently, and several of the white parts of the eyes even slammed against the glass wall.

Heywood sighed, "You're better than poor Ivan, who wanders around every night trying to find his body again."

The name Ivan made Kongsa pause abruptly, but she still clenched her fists tightly, stubbornly refusing to bow her head.

Heywood stopped trying to persuade him, smiled slightly, and said, "Since you insist on this... then I'll wait for your good news."

He stepped aside to make way, and Kong Sha walked out of the bronze gate like a gust of wind.

The door slowly closed, leaving only two men in the corridor.

Now, Haywood's blue and purple eyes looked at Thor simultaneously, "I hope to hear good news from you too."

Thor frowned but did not respond.

Heywood didn't mention the eyes again. He nodded to Thor and turned to walk through the second metal door.
