Chapter 181 Alternative Names for Oxidation

Chapter 181 Alternative Names for Oxidation

After Kong Sha revealed her identity, she did not speak immediately. Her red lips were tightly pursed, and the edges of her lips turned a sickly pale from the excessive force.

"Sol, I've waited ten days for you, and I already know your answer, but I still want to ask you one more time." After a long silence, Kongsha finally spoke, her tone filled with helpless compromise, "What will it take for you to help me this time?"

Thor was stunned; he then remembered his promise to Kongsa.

"Let's go inside and talk."

Saul pointed to the room next door, which was his dormitory.

Kongsa had obviously been waiting there on purpose, and immediately followed Thor inside.

The luggage in the dormitory is still very unorganized, and the large boxes piled up against the wall can be moved again as long as they are resealed.

Kong Sha glanced at the contents of the box, then turned back and said quietly, "Are you so confident you'll soon be promoted to Level 3 Apprentice that you don't even want to unpack?"

"No, I'm just lazy." Thor quickly made room for a chair, while he himself sat directly on a sturdy large box.

Seeing that Saul's tone was the same as before, and that he was not displeased by her sudden appearance, Kongsha couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope.

"Thor, I really need that elven whisper. Just let me open the bottle and listen for a few minutes, no, just a few seconds. If you're really worried, I can give you more. Magical tools, scrolls..."

Thor frowned in thought, looking somewhat troubled. "Senior Kongsha..."

"Just call me Kongsha. Who else can be considered your senior these days?"

Thor was taken aback, not knowing what Kongsha meant, but looking at the resentful look in her eyes that kept swirling in her head, he felt that this was not a good time to pry.

So he pretended not to know and skipped the question.

"Okay, I'll take the risk."

Kongsha perked up immediately, straightening her body, her large cloak unable to conceal her stunning curves.

"Okay, okay..." she stammered excitedly, "Then let's go tonight, okay?"

"Tonight?" Thor paused, knowing the other party couldn't wait and was afraid he'd change his mind. "Tonight at 7:55. Senior Kongsha, wait for me at the bronze gate. I'll bring number 117 and open the gate at that time. We'll complete the transaction within one minute."

Kong Sha nodded repeatedly.

After agreeing on the other matters, Thor solemnly said, "Senior Kongsha, this isn't our first deal, and hopefully it won't be our last."

Kongsa was taken aback, then realized that Saul was warning her not to play any tricks.

If any other second-level apprentices spoke to her like that, she would show them what it means to respect a senior and what it means to be in a cold wizarding tower.

But when the person speaking to her was Thor, Kongsa found herself feeling no dissatisfaction whatsoever.

Unbeknownst to her, her and Thor's positions had completely changed.

Thor was the new darling in that person's eyes, while he was just a discarded pawn...

The agreement was reached, and Thor followed Kongsa to her dormitory, where he immediately obtained two locator plans and three powerful magical artifacts. Among them was the Iron and Fire that Thor had once used to kill West Germany.

Seeing Thor excitedly caressing the iron and fire shell, Kongsa, who was feeling down, forced a smile and said, "Ever since I saw you use this to defeat Sid, I've realized that even wizards can't rely entirely on magic and mental power, so I've collected some tools."

Thor wasn't too greedy; he only took the two items he could carry with him before bidding farewell to Kongsa and heading to the second warehouse.

Passing by the second floor of the East Tower, there were no eyeballs placed outside the door of the second morgue.

This means that after so many days, Hayden still hasn't made the choice to follow him.

Thor was slightly disappointed, but also felt it was only natural.

Rather than improving his skills, Hayden seems to prefer staying put.

If he chooses to follow Thor, it means facing the unknown crisis facing the wizarding world once again.

A change in mindset cannot be achieved in a short period of time.

Thor wouldn't be surprised if the other party eventually gave up.

Thor continued onward, safely passing through the dark corridor and three metal doors, and returned to the second warehouse.

While he was reading on the 18th floor, he would still return every day to check the warehouse and see if his mentor had assigned him any tasks. However, the time he spent in the warehouse was significantly reduced.

This time, Thor came back after reading some notes on the 18th floor and having a new idea for his witch body modification experiment.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have bumped into Kong Sha, who had been waiting for him, on his way back to the dormitory.

Light the candles, count the corpses, check the communication pens...

After finishing his daily tasks, Thor couldn't wait to get to the long table.

He spread out all the materials he had prepared over the past few days on the table and carefully opened and put away his notes.

Now he no longer uses the most common Noah's script to write his notes, but instead uses the undead whispers that are most suitable for dark magic.

The script of this language consists mostly of sharp strokes and emphasizes both explicit and implicit symbols, making it much more difficult to learn than Noah's script. Thor has only recently grasped the basics and hopes to master it quickly through diligent practice.

On the slightly yellowed paper, the whispers of the dead recorded the ideas behind the two spiritual ester formulas, the Eye of the Dead and the Plastic Bone, more faithfully than Noah's writings.

Thor pondered the connection.

One of their common characteristics is that they are all based on normal human tissue, but have been processed by magic, mental power, and so on, giving them some of the properties of living organisms.

Therefore, these types of esters are purified to resemble human forms.

After all, living people are one of the best and most stable vessels for the soul.

However, because of this, these types of esters generally have relatively obvious defects. Just like humans, they have always been relatively fragile individuals in nature.

"So how can we weaken the weaknesses of the plastic bones?" Thor picked up a pen, scribbling unconsciously as he pondered. "The Dead Soul Eye works by shrinking the pupil, reducing the transparency of the lens. The trade-off is that vision will be severely affected."

"How can plastic bones be made resistant to electricity? Oxidation? Or high temperatures? It seems that very few people in the wizarding world are researching how to change the properties of raw materials."

"Furthermore, the oxidation of magic is different from the oxidation we've encountered in chemistry before. Perhaps it shouldn't be called oxidation, but rather... a metamorphosis?"

Just as Saul finished writing this, he suddenly heard a knock on the door.

"Ding ding ding ding ding!"

The knocking was messy and impatient.

"Who?" Saul immediately stood up and replaced the pen in his hand with the Iron and Fire he had just "requisitioned" from Kongsa.

No one answered from outside the door.

Thor, weapon in hand, walked through the shelves and the horde of corpses until he reached the door.

"Who?" he asked again.

"Heywood." A deep male voice finally came from outside the door. After a second, he added, "First Warehouse."

Although his first impression of Heywood wasn't good, Saul opened the door quickly.

"Two artifacts were sent back from outside, and they have already been processed by Instructor Katz." Haywood's heterochromatic eyes swept across Thor's face, and he slightly stepped aside to let Thor see what was behind him.

"Is 'collection' what you call corpses?"

"They are not ordinary corpses."

As Thor walked into the warehouse, he saw two enormous, transparent boxes, each as tall as a person, behind Haywood.

There was a person lying in each box.

If it were two pretty women, it might remind one of Snow White's crystal coffin.

But the people lying in there were all men, two of whom Thor knew.

Hermann.

Bill.
