Chapter 1014 Transforming Sky City
Chapter 1014 Transforming Sky City
Nathan was so excited he almost stumbled as he walked. Afraid of delaying Thor's business, he agreed and prepared to leave.
At this moment, Thor called out to him again, "By the way, Nathan."
"Mentor!" Nathan turned around quickly, looking intently at Thor.
"Do you still have any of those white porcelain cats you sold before?"
Nathan nodded repeatedly, "There are many more. Later, after the wizard Froco appeared, the white porcelain cats lost their ability to curse and bless. So I secretly collected all the white porcelain cats that had ended up in the market."
"How did you come up with the idea of taking back the white porcelain cat?" The situation was urgent at the time, and even Thor hadn't thought of taking back the white porcelain cat. Unexpectedly, Nathan actually did it.
"I was just thinking that the white porcelain cats have special powers, and since it was your order, I thought it would be better not to let them scatter outside in large numbers."
Thor nodded again. He had only intended to study the curse on a few white porcelain cats, but Nathan had given him a pleasant surprise.
"Very well, tell me where the white porcelain cat is stored, and then leave as soon as possible. A high-ranking wizard is coming soon, and he won't be as easy to talk to as I am."
Shortly after Nathan left, Thor received an encrypted message from the Stargate Council, saying that Doughgrass had accepted Thor's invitation and would be traveling to Sky City in two days.
This was somewhat unexpected for Thor.
The red worm experiments on Instructor Gorsa's side are progressing rapidly. With the infusion of elven consciousness, they have obtained a large number of controllable red worms. Next comes repeatability experiments and practical experiments with the anchor point.
Douglas should have looked down on this kind of research, but I didn't expect to have to wait two more days.
Does he have other things to do?
Thor placed his body in the White Glass Castle, while his consciousness remained on the Fate Line, continuing to expand.
He then contacted Char to learn about the progress of the war in the Chaotic Realm.
According to Char, the battle with the anchor monsters is at a stalemate. The number of anchor monsters isn't increasing too rapidly, but Klee and the others need to use their magic cautiously, so the skeleton army can't fully utilize its power.
Thor then asked Char if he had made contact with an anchor point that possessed independent consciousness, possibly named Camus, but Char had not been able to find Camus during several engagements.
Perhaps for Camus, the Chaotic Realm was just a small battlefield, while the Wizarding World was the main battlefield, so he didn't bother to appear in the Chaotic Realm at all.
Moreover, once he has completely conquered the wizarding world, it will only be a matter of time before he takes over the closed Chaotic Realm.
But without seeing Camus, Thor cannot deliver the message "Do not resurrect."
Thor wasn't sure if Camus would stop instigating the Abyss's eruption if he heard "Don't resurrect," but it was worth a try.
After all, it would be a good thing for the Wizarding World as a whole if the Abyss did not want to be resurrected.
Unfortunately, Thor also knew that Douglas had gone to great lengths to seal off the chaotic domain, and probably wouldn't give Camus a chance to back out.
Even if neither side wants to fight, they have no choice but to fight.
Two days later, Douglas finally arrived.
Not only did he come, but he also brought Gorza and the former presiding judge of the tribunal, Flim.
Upon seeing Gorsa, Thor quickly went to greet him, "Mentor, what brings you here? Is there some problem with the Red Worms?"
Gorsa's body has recovered to an unknown extent; she's still wrapped in pink bandages, and doesn't seem to be in a hurry to remove them.
He smiled, looking very happy. "The red worm experiment went too smoothly. With Byron and that guy around, I had nothing to do, so I came to watch you guys perform. Creating the essence of a fallacy, even if it's just a superficial one, is very worth watching."
Thor's eyelids twitched. He thought to himself, "So they came here voluntarily to join the fun? But since they're here, don't even think about just watching; they're all going to work for me!"
A genuine smile appeared on his face. "My mentor's arrival has been a great help. I only have an idea right now, but whether it can be developed into a viable product still requires everyone's collaborative research."
Gorsa glanced at Thor, as if he could read his mind. But in front of Douglas and Flim, he said nothing.
Douglas looked around, then looked up at the ceiling.
Thor's Fateline was hovering directly above them. Although Douglas sensed something was amiss, he ultimately failed to locate Thor's true form.
Seeing that the other party had withdrawn their gaze and there was a hint of doubt in their eyes, Thor was still quite satisfied with the result of this test.
"Let's see what initial modifications you've made first."
Douglas began wandering through Sky City, while Gorsa and Frim each chose a direction to leave.
Thor had already explored the entire Sky City before they arrived, and was now waiting for them in the main hall of White Glass Castle.
The three fourth-tier wizards naturally explored very quickly, and in less than an hour, they returned from different directions.
However, the expressions on the three people's faces were not quite the same.
Douglas remained indifferent, as if there was nothing that needed to concern him.
Gorsa was probably smiling, with only his eyes showing, making it difficult to discern his true emotions.
The last to return, Frim, frowned slightly. "I don't think your plan will work. Changing the way an island exists isn't difficult, but how do you plan to make the new way of existence fool a... sixth-tier wizard?"
Since Flim had come along, he naturally knew some of the inside story. Although it was hard to accept, he now had to admit that Saul and Gorsa's views were closer to the truth.
The Kuroshio Current is not an obstacle that can be overcome by simply holding on and resisting. If you dare not take a step forward, you will never escape the darkness.
Thor understood that the stubborn Flim's decision to come to Sky City was a significant step forward. However, he had no intention of simply handing over the plans he and the others had discussed to Flim.
He also needs more ideas to brainstorm.
"You don't even dare to think about it? Then you might as well go back to the Lost Corridor and stay there." Gorsa crossed his arms, tilted his head, and threw out a sarcastic remark without any politeness.
Flim did not argue with Gorsa, but simply stared straight at Saul.
Thor shrugged. "Do you know what the nature of the world is? We're not sixth-order beings, so of course we don't know. But we're not here to solve a problem; we're here to give a wrong answer."
Douglas suddenly looked down at the ground. "Creating an essential law that is recognized by a sixth-order being is beyond your capabilities."
He immediately rejected Saul's idea.
Saul listened calmly as he continued, reasoning that if Douglas truly disagreed with his ideas, he wouldn't be standing here now.
"However, slightly influencing the thoughts of a sixth-order being and hindering its eruption is acceptable," Douglas ordered without any politeness. "I will help you transform this island, but I will not allow you to affect the progress of the Abyss's eruption before it fully erupts."
"That's no problem," Thor said, looking down.
Douglas's condition for helping them fight the Abyss was indeed that the Abyss had to completely erupt before they could resist.
So, in the precognitive dream, when the continent of Iskeper, which was least affected by the Black Tide, was swallowed by the Eye of the Abyss, were the continents of Stat and Neflet also completely swallowed by the Eye of the Abyss because they failed to resist?
