Chapter 6 Sasriel
Chapter 6 Sasriel
"Lord, we shall take our leave now." Ulroth led Hermes away, leaving only Truman and the ancient sun god in the church.
This is a gathering of people from the same hometown.
Just like when Truman learned the goddess's identity, he felt a sense of identification, but there was also an invisible barrier due to the nature of this world.
"Would you like some alcohol?" Truman suddenly asked. "Vodka, of course! Guaranteed to be authentic!"
Truman opened the Book of Dreams and took out two bottles of wine directly from it.
Wishes come true, and dreams descend upon the world.
"This is a gift for you," Truman said, handing over the wine.
"...Thank you." The ancient sun god looked at Truman for a long while before accepting the two bottles of wine, his expression somewhat peculiar, tinged with regret and reminiscence.
"That's truly a distant memory."
He unscrewed the bottle cap and downed half of it in one gulp. "It tastes so familiar!"
"It seems that the custom in the ancient Eastern country is to return the gift." The ancient sun god put down the wine bottle, his gaze falling on the divine emblem on Truman's chest.
"Got it!" He reached out and gently squeezed it, as if a sun was gathering in his hand, eventually becoming a sun badge that was almost identical to the divine badge.
Truman's eyes lit up as he sensed the effect—eternal daylight.
Its main function is to ward off evil spirits and purify, but it also has the effect of awakening sleeping creatures.
"Thank you!" Truman took it and placed it together with the badge containing the divinity of the sleepless night. A dreamlike phosphorescent light shone, and the two badges merged into one.
The divine emblem has two different designs on each side, with the power of the sun and stars surging, maintaining Truman's state.
"Sleeplessness and endless daylight, I'm afraid I'll never be able to sleep again." Of course, this is actually a good thing for Truman.
Truman laughed; this was an unexpected bonus.
"What brings you and that lady here?" The ancient sun god had indeed already met the goddess!
"Cooperation is the natural choice." Truman's expression also turned serious, and the power of the Chaos Sea and the dreamlike phosphorescence covered the church.
"How can we cooperate?" The ancient sun god asked calmly and gently, holding the cross in one hand.
At that moment, he seemed more like a god than a human.
"The Ancient God Alliance, Lilith, and the Destruction Wolf," Truman stated these keywords.
The ancient sun god remained calm and clear-eyed, showing no emotion whatsoever.
Truman, however, knew that something called the power of omniscience was beginning to surge in the Chaos Sea.
Although the ancient sun god has not reclaimed the audience and the White Tower route, he can indirectly grasp the power of omniscience through the Chaos Sea.
He was deducing, using his boundless knowledge to deduce the trajectory of this era!
He has no power over destiny, but the writer's ability in this regard is no less.
"Lilith..." The ancient sun god's gaze fell on Truman, lost in thought. "Have you persuaded Him?"
"No one wants to lose themselves." Truman didn't answer directly, but rather made a pointed remark.
"Alright." The ancient sun god nodded slightly, deciding to go with the flow of the times. "Go find Sasriel for the specifics."
Afterwards, the ancient sun god walked to the foot of the giant cross, closed his eyes, and began to pray to himself.
I have a feeling this god is slacking off...
Truman blinked, obediently walked out of the church, and met Urolius and Hermes.
"Hello, Urolius, I'm sorry about what happened before." Truman looked at Urolius.
The previous eruption of the Chaos Sea almost submerged Urelius.
"Hmm?" Urolius then looked up from the stone slab at Truman, paused for a moment, and replied, "It's alright. You didn't hurt me, and you are a friend of the Lord."
He saw the badge on Truman's chest, a power he recognized very well.
"The Lord's oracle has instructed me to take you to see Sasriel," Urolius said, extending his hand in invitation as if suddenly remembering something.
"Okay, let's go." Truman and his little follower Hermes walked through the kingdom of the sun god, led by Ullolius.
"The people here!" Hermes was somewhat shocked. They saw a grand sacrificial procession, with magnificent hymns continuously praising the gods who brought sunlight to this land.
Of course, such things also happened from time to time in other human city-states. What shocked Hermes the most was that some humans had mysterious powers surging within them.
Most importantly, they showed no abnormalities, their spirituality was stable, and their mental bodies exhibited a peaceful state that Hermes had never seen before!
"O sun, you bestow upon us sunshine and rain, food and holy water..."
The hymns continued, sung under the guidance of several priests, with a magnificent and powerful atmosphere, drawing upon the true power of God.
"What's going on?!" Hermes asked in a daze.
"They are the singers," Urolius replied, turning to answer Hermes's question as he also praised the sun.
"The Singer?" Hermes's voice was filled with intense bewilderment. A thin membrane blocked his view, preventing him from understanding what was happening before him.
"Sequence Nine, The Singer," Truman reminded him at the opportune moment.
"Sequence Nine?!" Hermes' eyes lit up, and everything became clear.
"You know about sequences?" A voice came from afar, and a figure appeared in front of the three of them.
The newcomer wore a dark black robe, had shoulder-length black hair, and a face somewhat similar to the ancient sun god, but even more handsome and dashing. His eyes were also black, with faint shadows visible.
His clothes were extremely exquisite, with silver threads and intricate patterns, accompanied by rather luxurious accessories.
"Sassriel, what brings you here?" Urolius blinked, puzzled. "Is the Lord's divine kingdom already built?"
Sasriel's face darkened, and he coughed twice. "I'm here to greet guests."
"Oh," Urolius nodded gently, "then I'll be going now, my mural isn't finished yet."
Ulorus refocused his attention on the stone tablet in his hand, gesturing with one hand, completely immersed in his own world.
"Ahem, friend, give me two bottles of vodka!" Dark Angel Sasriel approached and said in a low voice.
"..." Truman opened the Book of Dreams and took out a bottle of vodka.
This Sasliel gave him a strange feeling. The ancient sun god was completely divine, overriding humanity. Only when faced with those distant memories did he experience some emotional fluctuations, more like Adam in Truman's memory.
But this King of Angels, Sasriel, gave him a feeling of extreme humanity, even stronger than Urolius.
Perhaps this is the meaning of His creation...
Clearly, Truman preferred dealing with Him in this way.
"Hiss! Good wine!" Sasriel gulped down a large bottle. "Bayehari!"
Truman simply grabbed a handful of phosphorescent dreamlight from the Book of Dreams and stuffed it into Sasriel's wine bottle. The phosphorescent dreamlight rippled, and the wine inside was refilled.
"What a convenient ability!" Sasriel exclaimed, as the wine wouldn't be completely consumed until the dreamlike phosphorescence faded.
"He can't take it away." Sasriel took another full sip, then carefully put the bottle away.
The sun god might have the ability to obtain such things from the old era, but those wines would definitely not have the effect of neutralizing madness.
Truman is demonstrating his own value.
