In the Apocalypse, I Can Enter Hogwarts

Chapter 91 Creating Friends Out of Thin Air

Chapter 91 Creating Friends Out of Thin Air

Faced with Professor McGonagall's kindness, Ian did not intend to accept it casually. He was really not short of money now, and there were still dozens of cubic meters of gold in his infinitely expandable backpack that he had not yet dealt with.

Although he wasn't prepared to accept it, he felt he had to acknowledge the other person's sentiment. He spoke to Professor McGonagall in a relatively tactful tone:

"Professor, it's like this. After starting school, I received a letter from my mother's friend. She told me that my mother had previously deposited a considerable sum of money with her. After hearing about my situation, she opened a vault in Gringotts in my name and deposited all the Galleons into it. She also gave me the key to the vault long ago."

Unable to explain the source of the funds, Ian also chose to give his mother fabricated friends...

Sure enough, Professor McGonagall was delighted to hear this and said, "That's wonderful! I was planning to invite you to my house for the summer vacation."

Ian suddenly felt incredibly lucky to always encounter such genuinely kind people. Professor McGonagall was usually stern and unsmiling, but who would have thought that she had even considered her own survival during the summer vacation?

"Yes, anyway, I'm quite wealthy now, and I'm even planning to buy my own house this summer," Ian said casually.

Professor McGonagall suddenly agreed and said, "That would be best! But if you need anything, you can write to me, and I can take a look at it for you, so they won't bully you because they think you're too young."

Ian could sense the other person's sincerity, and that it wasn't just polite talk, so he nodded in agreement and said, "Okay, Professor, I'll write to you later."

Feeling she had said enough, McGonagall chose to end the conversation.

"This Saturday, which is tomorrow night at 7 p.m., on the third floor of the castle, behind a sunset landscape painting, is the location of the Transformers Club. You just need to tap your wand three times to open the door. If you don't have anything else to do, I think it should be dinner time by then."

"I won't be late. But as you said, it's already dinner time, so I'll take my leave now."

After saying goodbye to Professor McGonagall, Ian went straight to the Hogwarts kitchen. He planned to stay home and only return to normal once the phoenix controversy had died down. After all, nothing at Hogwarts could keep a conversation going for a week.

This time, he was greeted by an old acquaintance, the house-elf Sasha. Watching her skillful movements, Ian felt as if she had been elected specifically to handle the reception of visiting young wizards.

Without any surprises or unexpected encounters, Ian, with Sasha's help, returned to his dorm with a very sumptuous dinner.

When he returned, he found that his two roommates had disappeared again. Ian was too lazy to be curious about their whereabouts. After washing up, he lowered the bed curtains and cast a silencing spell on them to avoid any unexpected interference, since he had been severely exhausted these past few days.

……

The next morning, when Ian finished washing up and went to the Great Hall for breakfast, he saw groups of students walking towards the Quidditch pitch in the castle. Only then did he realize that today was the Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff House Cup match.

So he hurried to the Quidditch pitch, after all, he didn't want to appear too eccentric.

Fortunately, he made it in time; the game hadn't started yet when he arrived at the field. Both Quidditch players had just left the locker room and were testing their skills on the field.

Ian climbed up to the Lovenclaw stands with some difficulty; the area was almost completely packed. The hawks kindly made way for him, allowing him to sit smoothly next to his roommate, Ivy.

"Ian, I thought you weren't coming." The scene was a bit noisy, and Ivy had to speak loudly, otherwise it would be difficult to communicate even at close range.

"Andrei complained to me before he went on stage, saying that he should have pulled back the bed curtains to wake me up, but I stopped him. He's doing a test flight right now." After Ivy finished speaking, she pointed to Andrei, who was wandering around aimlessly in the distance.

Sure enough, following the direction the other person pointed, Ian found Andrei frolicking freely in the sky. When he suddenly saw Ivy and Ian looking at him, he happily waved his arms at them.

The match hadn't started yet, but the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff students watching had already begun a vocal contest.

As the environment grew increasingly noisy, Ian and Ivy wisely stopped their conversation and turned to look at the players in the sky.

In just a few minutes, when Mrs. Hooch, who was to act as the referee, flew into the sky on her broom, the field fell silent instantly, because the referee's appearance meant that the game was about to begin.

Sure enough, the competition officially began as Mrs. Hooch blew her silver whistle.

The Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff stands erupted in applause, with students from both houses waving their blue and yellow flags with gusto.

Meanwhile, Lee Jordan, still serving as the commentator in the main stand, began his highly personal commentary.

"Welcome everyone to the second match of this year's College Cup, Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff! Oh my god, what am I seeing? Ravenclaw has started their new Seeker this year, second-year Cho Chang! I hope Bruce was still thinking straight when he put the lineup together, and I hope Ravenclaw's Seeker's flying skills are as good as her looks..."

"Jordan!" Professor McGonagall's intervention came as always.

Before Lee Jordan could reply to Professor McGonagall, he saw a sudden change on the court and screamed:

"Goal! Ravenclaw has scored... Merlin's socks, and the game has only been going on for a few minutes! Let's congratulate them, and by the way, the goal scorer is their chaser, Andre Hubbard!"

The Ravenclaw eagles in the stands immediately cheered and waved their sky-blue flags frantically.

"Andrei! Well done!"

Ivy excitedly raised her hands and cheered.

Ian clapped along with everyone, his gaze sweeping over the players in the sky. Although he wasn't particularly fond of Quidditch, it didn't affect his observation and analysis at that moment.

He noticed that Hufflepuff's lineup also looked quite good, and the two teams were probably evenly matched.

Soon, Hedgehog launched a counterattack and scored two goals in quick succession.

In the following time, both sides traded goals, taking turns scoring.

In short, both teams delivered impressive performances, showcasing fluid teamwork and a variety of formations. Every adjustment in offense and defense demonstrated a smooth and seamless execution.

Even the players who were newly selected for the team this year have performed admirably.

(PS: Just a quick chat from Xiaodi. It's a new week, and I deliberately waited until midnight to refresh the page. I was surprised to find that this book had unexpectedly climbed to 63rd on the overall new book list and 3rd on the category list. To be honest, I was a little excited. However, the overall list is still full of top authors, and it dropped to 72nd in about half an hour.)

Unsurprisingly, after waking up this morning, Xiao Di had fallen off the overall rankings. It would be a lie to say she wasn't disappointed, but she still felt a slight sense of relief. Being off the overall rankings was good; that way, she wouldn't be overshadowing others and wouldn't cause herself any trouble. Because she had no idea which powerful figure she might have offended…

I was already exhausted from making it into the top ten of a completely dead-end fantasy genre. Typical Ravenclaw characters don't like to be in the spotlight; they're content with being quiet and unassuming.

(PS: Chapter 2 will be updated soon.)
