In the Apocalypse, I Can Enter Hogwarts

Chapter 87 A Little Interlude

Chapter 87 A Little Interlude

……

Perhaps everyone was a little distracted, because this spells class was much shorter than usual.

Perhaps Professor Flitwick noticed that the young wizards were a bit out of sorts, because less than an hour later, he began assigning homework for the day and then announced the end of get out of class.

The moment the professor left the classroom, Ian's desk was already starting to feel subtly surrounded. Perhaps it was just because they weren't familiar with each other, but despite the large number of people, it was rather quiet.

But his roommate Andrei, without any hesitation, was the first to attack Ian:

"Dude, you're really not being fair! You didn't even mention it to us last night. How could you just pretend nothing happened? That's Phoenix, you know..."

"If I hadn't heard from Jeffrey this morning that his girlfriend's sister saw your phoenix in the Gryffindor common room last night, who knows how much longer we would have been kept in the dark..."

As he spoke, Andrei used his agile steps to weave through the crowd, finally reaching Ian's side. He then said, "Let us see it. Professor Flitwick was the only one who got a close look just now."

Only Andrei could say such a thing; no one else really has the right to ask anything of Ian.

Ivy did have the qualifications, but being clever, he didn't say a word from beginning to end.

He just stood there happily to the side, his face beaming with joy, probably still pleased with himself for having befriended Ian and investing in his connections early on.

"Okay, okay, just a little while. It'll be lunchtime soon."

Ian was somewhat exasperated with his eccentric roommate, but that was just his nature, and he didn't want to embarrass him. "Palmtopsus..."

Unlike before when he commanded the phoenix to land on the desk, this time, without Ian's command, the phoenix hovered above the Charms classroom, perfectly conveying the message—it was only for admiring from afar, not for touching.

After about ten minutes, Ian ended the summoning amidst everyone's disappointed gazes, and said, "I think we should really go have lunch now. You'll all see each other again sometime."

Thanks to the persona Ian has maintained for so long, those tall, handsome, strong, and quiet guys who don't talk much usually, but when they do speak, they can always get a lot of people to listen to them.

As the crowd gradually dispersed, only Ian and his two roommates remained. Unlike the others, Andrei clearly wasn't going to let him off the hook, asking with a hint of gossip:

"Dude, what's with that girl Hermione? We wouldn't even know you had Phoenix if it weren't for her. By the way, are you two dating?"

Ian looked at the other person's wise, husky-like eyes, which were full of curiosity as they stared at him, and then helplessly covered his forehead.

However, he didn't intend to hide anything. Who knows how many bizarre versions would emerge if these young reporters were allowed to speculate?

Therefore, it's better to tell Andrei the truth, at least there will be an original version to draw on, so that even if the discussion goes too far.

He immediately said, "Hermione and I knew each other before we entered school. How should I put it, we are very good friends."

Ian had some things on his mind, but considering Hermione's age and the girl's feelings, he decided not to say them aloud.

Some things need time to develop. They're still a bit too young right now, one is 12 and the other is 14. Even though people in Europe generally mature earlier, Ian still feels it's not appropriate. They should at least wait until the other is in third grade before considering anything else...

Compared to the carefree Andre, Ivy seemed very mature. He clearly didn't care who Ian was dating or who he was in a relationship with; he just wanted to get closer to him.

So he seized the opportunity and said, "Ian, the publisher replied to me. If you have time during the Christmas holidays, I would like to invite you to my home so you can meet with the person in charge of the publisher and discuss the details in person."

"Publishing house? What publishing house? Are you hiding something from me? This is too much!" Andrei immediately protested.

"I understand, thank you, Ivy." He was still very grateful to Ivy. Regardless of her motives, she had genuinely helped him, and he understood that.

Although he no longer needs to make money by plagiarizing otherworldly texts, he has already made his promise and can't back out halfway. In any case, it can be considered cultural export... which can bring him some fame.

Then Ian turned to look at Andre, who was protesting, and said with some ill intent:

"If you want to know the specifics about the publisher, you can ask Ivy; he knows the whole story better than anyone. Now I'm going to have lunch and then go back for a nap. Unlike you guys, I have a Defense Against the Dark Arts class this afternoon."

Ian decisively unleashed his target-shifting ultimate move, a tactic that always worked on Andre.

After saying this, he turned and walked towards the door, leaving behind a helpless-looking Ivy and an energetic Andrei, letting the two boys have some time to bond in the classroom.

……

After leaving the Charms classroom, Ian went to the Great Hall alone for lunch, surrounded by all sorts of stares, but he was already immune to them.

After all, you can't stop people from looking wherever they want, and Ian's principle is that as long as they don't bother him, it's fine. Let them watch, it won't make them pregnant.

Perhaps he was really not used to being secretly discussed even when he was eating, so he could only grab some food that was easy to carry from the hall and leave the castle, summoning the phoenix to teleport back to his bedroom.

Ian had long been fed up with the Ravenclaw Tower, with its cumbersome and steep staircases. Now that he had the Phoenix, he could finally take a break.
