In the Apocalypse, I Can Enter Hogwarts

Chapter 86 A Brief Day in the Life

Chapter 86 A Brief Day in the Life

……

Sufficient time and high-quality sleep may not always relieve deep fatigue, but they can release the fatigue that has been accumulating over a long period of time all at once.

Ian is in this situation right now. He went straight to sleep after returning home last night and slept until 9 a.m. this morning.

When he woke up, he felt uncomfortable all over his body. The long hours of writing and reading had made his shoulders, neck and waist very sore and uncomfortable.

"What's going on... lower back strain?" He took a deep breath and slowly sat up from the bed. Unlike when he was lying flat and relaxed, the soreness and numbness in his lower back muscles became more pronounced when he sat up.

With no time for anything else, he could only fumble for potions on the shelf by his bedside, but this time he didn't succeed.

"Where is my medicine?"

Ian was dumbfounded; he hadn't touched a single one of the rows of potions he remembered.

Looking at the empty shelves, he realized that his intense studying during this period had completely depleted his accumulated vitality tonics, and no new ones had been added during that time.

"This is bad..."

Ian was suddenly feeling a bit overwhelmed. He had a spells class at 10 o'clock, and he really didn't want to walk into the classroom with one hand on his back and the other hand against the wall.

Who knows what shocking news will be spread next? The children in Europe are young, but they are all very mature in their minds. He has experienced this firsthand.

"There's no other way; one person laughing is better than a group of people laughing..."

Ian glanced down at his pocket watch, confirming it was already past the end of the first class of the morning, before drawing his wand: "Palmtops of Protection..."

……

In the Potions professor's office, Snape sat alone in a chair, lost in thought, after receiving his punishment.

Yes, teaching these young wizards was, in his view, a form of punishment and torture, but he did it willingly.

The feeling of being punished always reminded him of that girl's slightly flustered figure when she first concocted a potion. Every time he went to class, he could almost feel that the girl was secretly watching him from the corner of the classroom.

This would bring him inner peace, but the price was that the figure would disappear after each get out of class, which made his guilt and longing even more intense, like a venomous snake constantly tearing at his heart...

This is why he always rushes back to his office after class, closes the door, and spends time alone...

"Bang bang bang..." The office door was suddenly knocked on, the knocking interrupting his thoughts. He picked up the wand on the table and waved it lightly, and the door opened automatically, allowing him to see who was standing in the doorway.

With one hand supporting himself against the wall and the other protecting his waist, Ian walked unsteadily into Snape's office.

He had initially considered going to Mrs. Pomfrey's school hospital, but the thought of the large number of people there made him abandon the idea.

Unlike other versions of rumors, the thought of rumors about his kidneys flying around was something he absolutely could not accept.

After much deliberation, I decided to ask Snape for the potion. After all, few people would be foolish enough to wander into the Potions Department office for no reason. More importantly, Snape seemed like an honest person, and honest people generally don't gossip...

"I'm sorry, Professor Snape. I wanted to ask you for two bottles of Vitality Tonic, but I accidentally twisted my back, and I didn't have time to prepare one..." Ian looked at Snape with a pleading expression.

It has to be said that Ian was quite lucky; normally, he would have been met with a barrage of sarcastic remarks.

But today, right after class, a time when Snape was reflecting on his past and feeling guilty, he simply said expressionlessly, "It's in the cabinet. Go get it yourself, and then close the door."

"Thank you!" Ian said, then walked to the cabinet where the other person stored potions and skillfully found the Vitality Tonic.

After unscrewing the bottle cap, I drank it down in one gulp, and the pain was instantly relieved and quickly began to lessen.

He closed the cabinet and quietly left Snape's office. Only after the door was completely closed did he lean against the wall and let out a long sigh of relief.

"A close call, no one saw anything..."

I stood at the door for a few minutes to let the soreness in my muscles completely disappear before crossing the corridor to head to the Spells classroom.

I don't know if it's just my imagination, but along the way, Ian kept seeing the same look in the eyes of the tourists watching the giant pandas at the zoo, and the eyes of the little wizards he passed by were always full of curiosity and inquiry...

However, due to time constraints, he couldn't stop asking questions and could only make sure he wouldn't be late for class.

He hurried along, and when he arrived at the classroom door, he found Professor Flitwick already standing on the podium.

Ian glanced at the time with some uncertainty. There were still a few minutes before class started. After confirming that he wasn't late, he confidently strode into the classroom.

"Ian! Wait a minute." Just as he was about to find an empty table to sit down, Professor Flitwick's voice came from behind him.

"What is it, Professor Flitwick?" Ian still respected his dean.

"I heard you've successfully mastered the Patronus Charm, a profound white magic, and even in a magical creature form?"

Now he finally understood why he had been stared at in the castle earlier; he had underestimated the speed at which information spread at Hogwarts.

It was only 10 a.m. the next day, and Professor Flitwick already knew. If something happens in a school and all the teachers know about it, then probably no student doesn't know either.

"Yes, Professor, a physical guardian in the form of a phoenix," Ian answered truthfully.

He never intended to hide anything from the beginning. As the old saying goes, those who lack ability and are afraid will hide something; those who stand at the top are always open and honest.

Most obviously, we've never seen Voldemort at his peak act timid and cowardly. It was only when Tom was at his weakest that he hid alone in the Albanian forest.

"A physical entity?" Ian's answer clearly made Professor Flitwick fall into deep thought. "If you don't mind, could you summon your Patronus so I can see it?"

"Of course, that's easy." He pulled the wand from the lining: "Palmtops of Protection..."

The silver phoenix appeared instantly in the Spells classroom, and with a thought, Ian made it stand steadily on the teacher's desk.

"Merlin... he really is a physical guardian deity."

As Professor Flitwick spoke, he stared intently at the phoenix, scrutinizing every single detail. After a long while, he finally turned his gaze to Ian and said:

"It is a guardian deity, but also a phoenix. In short, my knowledge is insufficient to explain the changes. However, one thing I am certain of, Ian, your guardian deity is unique in all known cases, without a doubt."

As if suddenly remembering something, Professor Flitwick turned to the others in the classroom and said loudly:

"Ravenclaw adds 50 points to thank Ian for his outstanding performance in Charms class. This is a great discovery, one I think worthy of being recorded in history, just like the invincible Andros's giant guardian deity, to be revered by future generations..."

The classroom erupted in enthusiastic applause from the young eagles, who all held their heads high, looking proud and honored.

Hufflepuff was equally generous with their applause, which is a testament to the kindness of the badgers. They rarely envy the achievements of others, and as long as you don't provoke them, they are friendly to everyone.

After the applause subsided, Professor Flitwick said to Ian, "If you'd like, I can contact the Daily Prophet for a private interview. But I think we should start class now."

Upon hearing this, Ian waved his wand, dispelling the summoning, and nodded to Flitwick: "Professor, there's no rush. We can talk about it later when we have time. It is indeed class time now."

He then walked to the back row and found an empty table to sit down.
