In the Apocalypse, I Can Enter Hogwarts
Chapter 70 A Farce
Chapter 70 A Farce
With Dumbledore in charge of the overall situation, Ian felt a sudden pang of unease as he chose to follow the main group back to his Ravenclaw dormitory.
"I feel a bit palpitated, so I'll just make the trip."
Thinking of this, Ian immediately chose a relatively inconspicuous corner and quickly cast a Disillusionment Charm on himself. Fortunately, the hall was still a bit noisy, so no one noticed that he had fallen behind and left.
Like an egg white poured into the palm of your hand, a cool sensation instantly enveloped your entire body, and at the same time, Ian's figure vanished from the spot like a chameleon.
With the unabridged version of "Standard Spells" given to him by Dumbledore, and double the study time and magical talent, Ian confidently stated that his mastery of spells was now beyond the imagination of young wizards.
Actually, Ian didn't plan to go at first. He had a lot of faith in Dumbledore's plan, and to be on the safe side, he gave Hermione the obsidian pendant that could automatically release the Ironclad Charm.
But a sudden surge of emotion prevented him from ignoring it; after all, a wizard's intuition had never lied to him. Moreover, Dumbledore had made a fatal mistake before, one that directly led to the deaths of Harry's parents.
So after much thought, Ian decided to make the trip. After all, the magical world has countless magical potions, but there is no going back. If everything remains the same, he doesn't plan to show himself.
"Show me the way!" (Poine Me)
Leaving the noisy Great Hall, Ian entered a quiet corridor, gently planted his wand in the ground, and used a wayfinding charm to locate Hermione. After determining her approximate location, he proceeded in the direction his wand was pointing.
A few minutes later, Ian had just turned a corner after coming out of the corridor when a stench hit him. It was like the smell of stinky socks in summer mixed with the smell of a fecal fermentation tank.
Even Ian was almost suffocating from the smell. He quickly cast a head-bubbling charm on himself, which allowed him to breathe. Then he heard a deep, rumbling sound, like a boulder being dragged across the floor. Clearly, a troll was nearby.
Ian calmly gazed at the behemoth before him. Judging by its appearance, it was a mountain monster, a colossal creature about twelve feet tall, with dull, lifeless skin that resembled a sickly grayish-white cement floor, and rough, scaly feet that looked as if they were covered in skin diseases.
Its two short legs were as thick as tree stumps, and the monster's fat waist was like a huge bucket made of a dilapidated ancient tree, covered with a layer of ugly moss. Its small head at the top was no bigger than the head of a 7-8 year old child. Combined with its huge and burly body, it always seemed a bit absurd.
Most importantly, it was holding a thick wooden stick in its hand, the long stick dragging on the floor, making a series of sharp and piercing sounds.
In short, this scene would intimidate most novice wizards from afar.
"Harry truly deserves to be called a Gryffindor."
Previously, he had only consulted information in books, but those were just books. After Ian witnessed the giant's figure, he suddenly felt that a boy who was at most 12 years old could face this monster head-on, and regardless of his performance, his courage alone was commendable.
Under the Illusion Charm, she followed the troll all the way to the girls' restroom. Unlike Hermione in the original story who cried her heart out, Hermione only had slightly red eyes.
"It seems that Hermione and Ron had another conflict during the dinner just now," Ian thought to himself.
The difference is that Hermione now doesn't only have Harry and Ron as her friends in the original books, so even if she quarrels and falls out with Ron, she won't be particularly sad. She'll just feel a little wronged and upset about not being understood.
"Armor for protection!"
Although Ian noticed Hermione was wearing an alchemical necklace, he still quietly cast a Silent Armor Charm on her, just in case. As for Harry and Ron, Ian apologized; he wasn't their babysitter, and besides, Harry had plenty of male "mothers" at Hogwarts…
After doing all this, Ian did not leave. Instead, he stood aside with the Disillusionment Charm on, not because he was bored and wanted to watch the show, but because he wanted to know what had caused his heart to flutter for a moment.
However, everything was peaceful, and the troll and the savior arrived at the same time as promised.
Ian selectively ignored Harry and Ron's monkey-like leaps and rolls, as well as the series of dangerous maneuvers like poking Harry's nose with a wand. In his view, these were merely Harry's warm-up exercises; after all, Dumbledore wouldn't stand idly by and leave Harry's safety unattended.
"Yugadimur Leviosa!" Ron finally uttered the incantation, thus announcing the end of this farce.
"It's time to leave!" Ian had a vague feeling that a professor was heading this way, so to avoid unnecessary trouble, he chose to leave first.
However, he completely overlooked one thing: during the fight, the giant smashed the bathroom pipe with a single blow, leaving the floor covered in water.
Although Ian was under the Illusion Charm, every step he took made puddles of water. Although it was very slight, Hermione, who happened to fall to the ground, saw it clearly. However, Hermione did not make a fuss, but watched the footprints gradually disappear into the distance with a thoughtful expression.
"It shouldn't be that. Let's wait and see. What's coming can't be avoided. All the fear stems from insufficient firepower."
As Ian walked towards his dormitory, he pondered the scenes from earlier. He was now certain that the sudden tremor in his heart was not a troll event, but he couldn't guess what it was for the time being. He could only deal with it as it came.
