In the Apocalypse, I Can Enter Hogwarts

Chapter 69 Halloween Dinner

Chapter 69 Halloween Dinner

……

Time flows by quietly like water.

When the bell rang for the end of the last class, the young wizards filed out of the Charms classroom, their faces filled with relaxation and joy.

Not only because it's Halloween, but also because most of the students successfully unleashed the spells they learned in class today. This put Professor Flitwick in a great mood, and he then announced that he was exempting them from this week's spells homework, only instructing them to practice on their own from now on.

With the workload of other subjects in the third grade getting heavier and heavier, this is undoubtedly good news and the best gift for Halloween.

Accompanied by his roommate, Ian quickly went downstairs to the auditorium for dinner. After an afternoon of classes, everyone was already starving, not to mention the Halloween party to look forward to after dinner.

Especially now, the sweet aroma of roasted pumpkin wafted through the corridor, as if urging everyone to quicken their pace.

When everyone arrived at the hall, they were pleasantly surprised to find that it had been decorated for Halloween. With all sorts of colorful decorations, the place looked both eerie and dazzling.

Hundreds and thousands of magical bats fluttered and flew across the walls and ceiling. Not only that, but countless miniature pumpkins that had been lit up floated above the dining table like dark clouds and kept swirling and dancing. The candles burning inside the pumpkins flickered and swayed. Add to that the many strangely dressed little wizards, and Hogwarts at this moment could be described as a parade of a hundred ghosts.

A variety of delicious dishes instantly appeared on golden plates. It was as lavish as a school opening banquet, only this time the solemnity and reverence of the past were gone, leaving only laughter and relaxation.

Ian and his roommates sat at the long table in Ravenclaw, enjoying the food on their plates while looking around at the peculiar decorations.

This was a dish Ian had specifically requested from the kitchen: a beef pie pan-fried in olive oil, but with chopped chives mixed in. Power doesn't expire, and since Ian had Dumbledore's special permission, he naturally intended to treat himself to a better meal.

The house-elf's cooking skills were quite good; the fresh aroma of chives was perfectly preserved in the pies, so much so that Ian had already eaten two. Just as the third pie was being served, before Ian could even pick it up, Andrei next to him said with a somewhat surprised tone:

"Dude, how long have you been starving? Come on, the dinner party goes on until midnight, is there really no need to rush?"

Ian's lips twitched slightly upon hearing this. Midnight? This silly kid won't have such a naive understanding in two years. However, he didn't intend to elaborate to the other party for now, and could only casually make up an excuse:

"I'm a little hungry. Don't you think if you eat something now, you'll have the energy to last until midnight?"

Andre was a little confused by Ian's casual answer, and turned to Ivy beside him, asking somewhat uncertainly, "This food will be served until the end of the dinner, right?"

After receiving Ivy's confirmation, Andrei breathed a sigh of relief and asked with some curiosity, "Dude, you seem a bit strange today. Is something wrong?"

Before Ian could answer, Ivy said, "A proper Ravenclaw never pries into other people's secrets."

Andre shrugged upon hearing this, and said with a rare hint of restraint, "I'm sorry, Ian. Ivy is right. I wasn't trying to find out anything, but if you need any help, please let us know."

Ivy, standing next to him, nodded in agreement.

"Don't worry, if I really need your help, I won't hesitate. There might be a little hiccup, or maybe nothing will happen at all, but either way, it's nothing."

Ian said casually to his two roommates.

Perhaps for other third- or even fifth-year wizards, trolls are still a rather terrifying existence, but for Ian, with his strength, it's really not going to be easy.

Perhaps the troll's skin has some magic resistance, but just like the bulletproof vest in the previous life, it may be able to defend against small-caliber pistols, but try to let it withstand an assault rifle.

He had long ago consulted materials in the Ravenclaw school library, and for this kind of low-intelligence but exceptionally brutal creature, he not only learned in detail the differences between the three trolls, but also meticulously found their different weaknesses, although the latter was just a reading habit.

So Ian really didn't care much. Whether it was a mountain monster, a forest monster, or a river monster, it was all just a matter of casting a spell.

Getting back to the main point, the banquet continued smoothly, and Ian spotted Hermione at the Gryffindor table. However, they were too far apart to see each other, so they simply raised their glasses to each other to celebrate the holiday.

About an hour and a half later, just when Ian thought the cheerful atmosphere would continue until the end of the banquet, it was broken by a shrill voice: "Trolls... there are trolls in the castle... I think you should know."

"The Best Supporting Actor has been decided."

Looking at Professor Quirinas Quirrell, whose face was filled with terror, who stumbled into the auditorium, and then, with perfect timing, fainted immediately after finishing his speech, Ian couldn't help but mentally award him an Oscar.

The moment Quirrell fainted, chaos erupted in the Great Hall, so much so that Dumbledore had to use the Loud Voice Charm to calm everyone down.

"Prefects!" Dumbledore's voice was low. "Lead the students back to their dormitories immediately."

At this moment, all the prefects of Hogwarts lived up to their title of elite. Instantly, the 24 male and female prefects from the four houses began to carry out the headmaster's orders with swift and decisive action.

"Everyone, please line up and gather towards us according to your grade level." All the grade leaders spoke concisely, as this was indeed a race against time.

Then the seventh-year prefects took charge of the first-year students, and so on, with the sixth-year students in charge of the second-year students, and the fifth-year students in charge of the third and fourth-year students. With such a clear division of labor and precise implementation, the chaotic group of young wizards was quickly brought together, and the male and female prefects led the students away in an orderly manner, one after the other.

What's meant to happen will happen.

Ian sighed inwardly, while glancing around for Harry, Ron, and the others. Thankfully, the two good boys hadn't run off; however, unlike the others who were panicked, they seemed rather restless.

Huh? Something's stirring up trouble? This discovery actually made Ian more panicked than if he'd seen a troll in person. After checking again and again, he still found the problem. Sure enough, he didn't see Hermione among the Gryffindor freshmen.
