The pimp's face immediately changed when he saw the silver.

"Uncle Li, it's been a long time! I wonder where you've made your fortune lately?"

Li Shusheng snorted: "What's the point of talking to a lackey like you? Take me to see Cuiliu."

"Yes, Mr. Li, this way please."

Li Shusheng saw his lover again, and he handed the money to the madam, who was overjoyed to receive it.

"I wonder where this poor scholar got his money," the madam scoffed. Although she looked down on Li the scholar, she wouldn't turn down money.

"This silver has a mark!" The madam suddenly noticed a mark on the bottom of the silver, and was shocked when she saw it clearly.

"The Siping Gang? How come it's them?" The madam suddenly felt the money was burning her hands. She found a servant and gave him a few instructions. The servant hurriedly left.

Half an hour later, more than 20 burly men arrived at Deyilou. The madam immediately went to greet them and handed over the silver ingot.

"Where is that scholar?" Lang Lijiao asked. He was the third leader of the Siping Gang, and his fierce aura made the madam's legs go weak.

"Third Master, Scholar Li is in Cui Liu's room. I'll take you there now," the madam said hurriedly.

"No need, you two go and bring the scholar here," Lang Lijiao ordered. Two burly men walked out from behind him and followed the madam upstairs. Before long, they brought the scholar downstairs.

Li Shusheng was thrown to the ground, and his whole body ached.

"What are you doing?" Li Shusheng, disheveled, asked fearfully. He was being intimate with Cui Liu when the Siping Gang broke in, nearly scaring him to death.

"Where did you get this silver ingot?" Lang Lijiao asked in a sinister voice.

Li Shusheng looked at it, then looked at the madam.

"This is the silver ingot you gave me," the madam said.

Li Shusheng hurriedly shouted, "This was given to me by a fool. I taught him to read, and he gave me money. This money has nothing to do with me. If you want to find him, go find him."

Where is he?

"Yunlai Inn," said Li Shusheng.

Lang Lijiao stood up: "Take him with us, let's go to Yunlai Inn."

When Lei Ming returned with the waiter, he was carrying a large black sword on his back. The sword was 1.5 meters long, made entirely of black iron, and weighed 1200 jin (approximately 600 catties).

Lei Ming carried the knife upstairs, and the waiter looked at his back with admiration until the shopkeeper patted him, bringing him back to his senses.

"I was so blind! He's clearly a chivalrous江湖豪客 (jianghu haoke, a person of the martial arts world), but I mistook him for a mute," the waiter said regretfully. "Manager, what if I asked to become his apprentice? Would he agree?"

The shopkeeper tapped him on the head: "What's so good about practicing martial arts? It's all bloodshed and you don't know where your next meal will come from. Just work honestly in the shop, and when you've saved enough money, I'll get you a wife. Don't think about anything else."

The waiter muttered, "I wasn't thinking anything. Otherwise, I would be fantasizing about joining a great immortal sect and cultivating immortality."

Just as the inn was about to close for the night, Lang Lijiao barged in with Li Shusheng.

"So it's Third Master of the Siping Gang. What brings you here so late?" The shopkeeper naturally recognized Lang Lijiao.

Lang Lijiao ignored him and instead asked Li Shusheng, "Is that person here?"

Li Shusheng nodded repeatedly.

"Go in and arrest them," Lang Lijiao said, waving his hand.

"Wait!" the shopkeeper suddenly shouted. "Third Master, who exactly are you here to arrest? You should at least tell me clearly. My shop may be small, but it's still part of the Jingjiao Society. If you don't have an explanation, I absolutely will not let you in."

Upon hearing this, Lang Lijiao hesitated. The Jingjiao Society was one of the three overlords of Jiayuan City. Although it had declined, it was still not something that the small Siping Gang could afford to provoke.

"You should have heard that some of our gang's valuables were stolen not long ago," Lang Lijiao said. "I've already found out that the stolen silver ingots are in the hands of someone at your inn."

The shopkeeper glanced at Li Shusheng, then at Lang Lijiao, and finally sighed softly.

"If that's the case, I have nothing to say. But this is, after all, an inn. If things get out of hand, it won't be good for us. I'll call the person out so you can talk."

Lang Lijiao nodded: "Let me make this clear from the start: if you tip him off and he gets away, I won't let this go."

"He's no relative of me, why should I inform him?" the shopkeeper said. "Fuquan, go and call that customer down."

Lei Ming bought the knife, spending all his money, but he didn't feel bad. He studied the knife techniques in his room; the Pinglang Blade had nine forms, each stronger than the last.

"The technique for generating power in this swordsmanship is very special. The first strike can unleash all the power, and from the second strike onwards, the power and speed increase again. By the ninth strike, it can unleash twice the power. It's truly impressive."

Lei Ming never expected that a random sword technique would have such a miraculous effect.

Lei Ming drew his sword and began practicing his swordsmanship. He quickly mastered the first strike, and continued practicing. In just one hour, Lei Ming had mastered the fifth strike. Given a little more time, he would soon be able to execute the sixth strike.

"This sword technique isn't that difficult." Lei Ming was somewhat surprised. He didn't even consider that he was a human created by a sage, and he also possessed immense merit. How could his talent be compared to that of an ordinary person?

Lei Ming wanted to keep up the good work and try to master the sword technique tonight, but then there was a knock on the door.

"Sir, are you resting?" came the voice of the waiter, Fuquan.

Lei Ming opened the door: "What is it?"

Fu Quan looked worried: "Someone downstairs is looking for you...it was Li Shusheng who brought them." He hesitated for a moment, then added, "These people don't look like easy to mess with."

Lei Ming was also puzzled. Apart from killing the Five Rats, he had not offended anyone else in this world.

"I'll go take a look with you." Lei Ming, carrying his knife, followed Fu Quan downstairs. Seeing Lei Ming come down, Lang Li Jiao asked Li Shusheng, "Is it him?"

Li Shusheng quickly said, "It's him, it's him, that silver is his."

"Silver?" Lei Ming thought of the silver he had taken from the Five Rats. "Could there be some kind of mark on that silver that made the Five Rats' friends come looking for it?"

Lang Lijiao ordered his men to surround Lei Ming, his gaze lingering on the black iron sword in Lei Ming's hand for a moment.

"Friend, come with me," said Lang Lijiao.

Lei Ming was not afraid of the other party: "Say what you have to say here."

"It's probably hard to explain here." Lang Lijiao gave a wink, and two burly men grabbed Lei Ming's shoulders. Lei Ming's body trembled slightly, and the two burly men flew out.

Lang Lijiao's expression changed drastically: "I didn't expect him to be such a tough nut to crack. But offending the Siping Gang means certain death. Attack!"

The Siping Gang members drew their swords and slashed at Lei Ming. Lei Ming was equally decisive, drawing his Xuan Tie sword. With a single strike, both men were decapitated.

"The Calm Waves Blade Technique, it really is you!" Lang Lijiao shouted as he saw Lei Ming make his move. "Call men immediately! We can't let him escape today, no matter what."

Lei Ming realized that the trouble was indeed caused by the Five Rats' relics, but he no longer cared about that. He wielded the Pinglang Blade with the force of a storm, and combined with the heavy blade in his hand, the members of the Siping Gang were injured or killed as soon as they were touched. Before long, only Langlijiao was left standing out from the more than 20 people.

Looking at the thunder that seemed both divine and demonic, even the usually fearless Lang Lijiao couldn't help but feel terrified.

"Who exactly are you?" Lang Lijiao asked, his voice trembling.

"I'm just a wandering swordsman," Lei Ming said. "I won't comment on right or wrong in this matter, but I have indeed learned the Pinglang Saber Technique. If you continue to pursue this matter, feel free to send someone, but I won't be so polite next time."

Lei Ming was about to leave when, before he had gone far, Lang Li Jiao's voice came again.

"Don't think I can't do anything to you. I advise you to come back to the Siping Gang with me. Your martial arts are strong, but even the strongest can't withstand immortal magic..."

The dragon in the waves stopped abruptly, for thunder had already reached him.

"You mean immortal magic? Are there immortals in this world?" Lei Ming asked eagerly.

Lang Lijiao didn't know why Lei Ming had such a big reaction, but he mustered up his courage and said, "Of course, our Siping Gang has a powerful backer."

Lei Ming stared at him: "Take me to the Siping Gang. I want to see the immortal you speak of!"
