The night sky was clear.

The full moon hangs high in the sky, its soft light like a thin veil over a young girl's delicate skin.

Lynn packed all his belongings and left the castle before curfew began, heading towards the Forbidden Forest.

The requirements for making Animagus Transformation Potions are extremely demanding, and apart from the Forbidden Forest, no other place in Hogwarts can meet his requirements.

No, that's not right either. The Room of Requirement would also work. That room can meet all of Lynn's needs, including the weather.

But it was a magical creation after all, and he was afraid that the natural environment simulated by magic would have some unknown effects on the shapeshifting potion.

If it's bad, then things will get really messed up. There are countless examples in history of Animagus failing to transform and becoming half-human, half-animal monsters, serving as a reminder not to try to be clever!

Especially in magic, which requires the right timing, location, and people.

Instead of venturing deep into the forbidden forest, he walked around it and arrived at a spot on the outskirts of the forest that he had chosen beforehand.

The trees here are very large and dense, and since it is summer, their lush foliage completely blocks out the sky, preventing any sunlight from penetrating during the day.

Lynn first used the shovel he conjured with his Transfiguration spell to find a conspicuous tree that could serve as a marker, and dug a hole about half a meter deep under the tree.

Then he put down the shovel and walked out into the moonlight with the potion ingredients.

He aimed at the full moon in the sky, took out a glass bottle, removed the mandela leaf that had been under his tongue for a full month, put it into the bottle, and then began…

"Hetui! Hetui! Hetui!..."

He kept spitting his saliva into the glass bottle.

It was a disgusting and troublesome process. He not only had to be careful not to spit his phlegm in, but also had to keep producing saliva in his mouth until it was enough to fill the glass bottle.

Late at night, a boy was seen spitting into a bottle incessantly in the dark woods, a scene that seemed quite eerie.

When he had enough saliva, he plucked a strand of his own hair and put it into the glass bottle, then scooped a silver teaspoon of dew from another bottle and added it in as well.

He had just taken this bottle of dew from Snape's office that afternoon, and he had double-checked before taking it that it was dew that Snape had just bought, collected from a place that had not seen sunlight or been in contact with humans for seven whole days.

Snape was so annoyed by him that he almost gave up on giving it to him and told him to get lost.

If it weren't for Lynn's diligent and responsible handling of potion ingredients for him these past few days, Snape really wouldn't have wanted to give him this bottle of dew.

After all, the price is really not cheap.

Snape seems to have discovered something lately, as he's been wandering around the fourth-floor corridor of the castle, which Dumbledore forbids students from going there.

Lynn guessed that he had already noticed something was wrong with Professor Quirrell.

Aside from meeting Harry once in Diagon Alley, Lynn never made any further attempts to contact him.

This was intentional on his part, because only in this way could he accurately judge whether the plot of the first year would proceed as originally written, and only then would the opportunity he was waiting for arrive.

After putting the hair and dew into the bottle, the potion of transformation was still missing one last ingredient.

Lynn took a moth pupa out of his pocket. It was a pupa of the Ghostface Hawkmoth, from Snape's office, and was more reasonably priced and of guaranteed quality.

After stuffing the pupa into the bottle, the transformation potion was ready.

He sealed the glass bottle with a cork, put it into the pit he had dug earlier, and then filled the pit with a shovel.

He has done all he could; now it's up to fate.

He could only return here to dig out the potion and complete the final transformation when the next thunderstorm arrived.

By the time Lynn had finished packing, it was nearly nine o'clock.

Instead of sending the remaining potion ingredients back to his dormitory, he took them directly to the Willow Tree where he had arranged to meet Cedric and the others.

He had barely arrived when Ian and Cedric came running together.

Ever since they discovered Ian's secret that he was a werewolf, they have come to keep him company every full moon.

It's right where the last werewolf student used to transform—the Screaming Shack.

They would chat there all night, about Hogwarts professors, various houses, and interesting stories from the wizarding or Muggle world.

However, Lynn and Cedric could clearly see today that Ian seemed to be in a bad mood.

He hadn't uttered a word since he passed through the secret passage to the Screaming Shack.

Although he rarely spoke up before and his expression remained indifferent, after spending more time with him, Lynn and the others could sense something was wrong from his emotions.

As usual, Ian sat on the worn-out wooden floor, leaning against the wooden wall, quietly waiting for the transformation to begin.

Lynn and Cedric exchanged a glance, both gesturing for the other to speak first and ask what was going on.

They played rock-paper-scissors with their eyes, and Cedric lost. But before he could even ask a question, Ian spoke up first.

"I shouldn't have come to Hogwarts this year."

Lynn and Cedric stared at him in astonishment.

Why?

"Because my last name is Campbell," he said softly.

Cedric was puzzled, because there was no such surname in the pure-blood families of wizards.

But Lynn frowned, seemingly trying to recall something.

He had initially felt that Ian's surname sounded familiar, but hadn't thought much about it. This time, after Ian's special reminder and considering that Ian's family background was not ordinary, Lynn finally remembered the significance of the surname Campbell in England.

"Is it Campbell, the Duke of Argyll?"

"The current Duke of Argyll is my father, and I am his only heir to the title and the family line."

This was the first time in over a year since they met that Ian had brought up his family matters with them.

His transformation had begun; silvery-white hair sprouted from his body, and his body and face began to elongate. He growled in pain, yet he still managed to tell Lynn and the others his story.

"My father... he doesn't really want to acknowledge that I'm his son at all..."

Sweat soaked his hair, and he continued to speak, panting heavily.

"After I was born, he spent all his time partying with other women. He tried to have another son so he could abandon me..."

Lynn and Cedric remained silent; they knew that Ian simply needed two listeners tonight.

The werewolf quietly sat back down on the wooden floor and spoke calmly.

"Get rid of this monster who killed my mother at birth."
