Chapter 81 080.1 If we're not going to stop now, let's just steal his cow!
Chapter 81, Chapter 080: Since we've already gone this far, let's go all the way! Let's just steal his cow!
Inside Simon's pickup truck.
The three old men were very disappointed.
Simon was driving the car when he opened his mouth as if to speak, but ultimately kept it closed.
"We can't just go back like this, or Rozier will curse us to death," Leon said in a deep voice.
Smith tapped the back seat with his cane, annoyed. "So what can we do? This city is supposed to be small, but besides Rozier, who else can find two people in a place with over 20,000 inhabitants?"
Leon looked out the window and remained silent for a moment before finally hesitating.
"Perhaps we can ask someone for help?"
Simon couldn't help but chime in.
"Who should I look for?"
"Looking for our old buddies."
……
In the northwestern suburbs of Abros, in a small town with a population of only a few hundred.
Lynn and Professor Fox were peering out from behind a fence into a farm.
The golden wheat is ready for harvest. On one side of the wheat field, there is a cowshed with about twenty cows inside.
The houses next to the farm were very well built, with two dogs chained up in front of them, and a black man could be vaguely seen cleaning cow dung near the cowshed.
"Is this the place?"
"This is the place! Didn't you see the sign over there? Speaking of which, that fat old man named Simon is really narcissistic. He puts his picture everywhere, as if he's afraid people won't recognize him," Lynn said with a click of his tongue.
"What do we do next? Force our way in?"
Lynn lowered his head and thought for a while, then turned to ask.
"Professor, can you handle that black man?"
Professor Fox nodded.
"That's possible. Even without magic, wizards are still much stronger than Muggles. But what kind of solution are you talking about?"
Lynn looked puzzled: "Of course, just knock him out or tie him up to incapacitate him. What else can you do?"
"Of course I have no problem with that." Fox's smile was a little strange, but Lynn didn't see it.
"Let's get started now!"
Lynn and Professor Fox parted ways under the fence.
Lynn waited under the fence, while Professor Fox climbed over and quietly approached the cowshed.
There were some gaps between the wooden planks of the cowshed, and Lynn could only see figures moving inside from the outside, but he couldn't see the specific situation.
Professor Fox walked silently into the cowshed. The black man who was cleaning cow dung seemed to sense something. He turned around, and after being stunned for a moment when he saw Professor Fox, he raised the pitchfork in his hand and questioned him angrily.
"Who are you? Why are you trespassing on a private farm without permission!"
Professor Fox showed no nervousness whatsoever; he no longer had that listless, unresponsive feeling he had when he was with Lynn.
He smiled and winked.
"Sorry, you need to take a nap."
With that, he snapped his fingers lightly, and the black man collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
He took off his glasses, wiped them lightly with the corner of his shirt, put them back on, and walked out of the cowshed, waving to Lynn.
Lynn saw his signal and immediately vaulted over the fence like a nimble monkey.
"Professor, your efficiency is amazing!" he exclaimed.
Professor Fox patted non-existent dust off his hands.
"One blow will surely keep him asleep for half a day."
"Then let's start searching. That fat old man is obviously not a decent person. He must have a habit of keeping a diary, and maybe he wrote something about the curse in it."
They rushed into the small hut next to the farm and ransacked the place.
Lynn made a discovery very quickly.
"A Daily Prophet".
He beckoned to Professor Fox and pulled out the old newspaper from under the fat old man's bed. It was from three years ago.
"The fact that they have access to the Daily Prophet means they can learn about the wizarding world, so it's not surprising that they know I'm a Hogwarts professor," Professor Fawkes said, squinting.
A newspaper was only a small gain; they searched the room thoroughly but found nothing.
Lynn murmured.
"That's strange, that old man doesn't have the habit of keeping a diary."
Their trip yielded almost nothing, which made Lynn somewhat discouraged.
He stared blankly at the cows in the cowshed outside the window.
"Professor, what crime did they charge us with when you called 999?" Lynn suddenly asked.
Professor Fox hesitated for a moment, as if he had guessed what Lynn was up to.
"Um... they said we stole his cow."
Lynn gritted his teeth and said, "They've already pinned this on us like this. Even if it's mud falling on our pants, it's still something, so let's just go all the way..."
Ten minutes later.
The door to the cowshed was opened, and the cows inside were forcibly driven out.
Lynn and Professor Fox each rode on the back of a cow, howling like they were riding horses, leading the herd out of the farm.
Two guard dogs tied to the gate could only bark helplessly behind the herd of cattle.
……
Unaware that his home had been ransacked, Simon was driving around with Leon and Smith, visiting their former colleagues one by one.
"Which one is this?" Smith asked.
Leon counted the names in the roster in his hand.
"Thirty-two stores, and this is the last one. Approximately how many people can we mobilize in total?"
Smith counted on his fingers.
"Today is a day off, so each family should be able to send at least five people. Thirty-three families would be about 165 people. Abros is a small city with only 20,000 people. A little over a hundred people are related to many people in this city. Finding those two rats would be more than enough for them."
Simon said with concern.
"I'm afraid they've run away and already left Abros."
Leon shook his head decisively.
"Impossible. If I were them, I would try my best to get my magic back as soon as I suddenly lost it. If they were well-informed, they would probably already know that this is our territory. So the only way for them to find out how to get their magic back is to contact us."
Smith was stunned when he heard his analysis.
"That's right! They need to contact us to regain their magic!"
"But we're clearly trying to arrest them with ill intentions, so how can they contact us?"
Leon scratched his head: "What would I do if I were in that situation?"
Their eyes wandered out the car window, and soon they both spotted the distinctive GG sign.
The next moment, they looked at each other and shouted out the answer in unison.
"Steal the base!"
Simon was completely bewildered by their cryptic conversation.
"What are you talking about?"
Smith, furious at his son's lack of self-control, kicked the idiot from behind with his intact left leg.
"Idiot! Drive to your house! Your house is going to be destroyed!"
Half an hour later, Simon returned to his ranch, which was in complete disarray.
He staggered out of the car, then knelt down with a thud, wailing like a cuckoo crying blood.
"My cow!!!"

(Because I couldn't fit the author's words in here, I've put them at the end of this chapter.)
There's been a lot of controversy surrounding this recent plot point...
But did you really not understand what I was writing? For the greater good, Rozier, Saint, Grindelwald!
Although the first Dark Lord imprisoned himself in Nurmengard, his former power certainly hasn't vanished so easily. The group that once considered wizards supreme has now become no different from their former enemies, the Muggles. They have lost their magic and lived in Muggle society for over forty years until old age. They have their own lives, friends, families, and farms. They have gradually been assimilated by the Muggles without even realizing it. When they regain their magic, what kind of wizards will they become? What kind of help will they provide to Lynn in the future? Isn't that something to look forward to?
And what about Lynn's identity, and Professor Fox's somewhat abnormal behavior? Aren't these things worth looking forward to? Why keep focusing on the disappearance of magic?
No one is born without experiencing setbacks. Without his current experiences, would his future success have simply fallen from the sky?
I didn't force the plot by making Lynn's magic disappear. It perfectly fits their situation and choices at the time. Kira is a stubborn house-elf who completely obeys his master's orders, while Lynn wouldn't listen to him at all. It was precisely because he wouldn't listen to him that he was tricked into Abros, which led to the events and encounters that followed. It's a very normal story of starting with a stunt and then building up to a climax, so why would anyone criticize my writing as "what the hell"...
But then again, isn't the purpose of online novel authors to adjust the plot based on daily update feedback? If you all think it's bad and you don't understand it, then I'll finish this volume within ten chapters and get into the original plot as soon as possible.
Thank you for reading my rambling for so long. I've been getting so much criticism lately that I've started to doubt myself, which is why I wrote such a long post.
Finally, I would like to thank all the readers for their support.
Thank you so much to all the readers who follow my updates every day; your support is my greatest motivation.
Also, I'm a salted fish that updates twice a day but hasn't been marinated yet, not an old salted fish that updates once a day!
