Chapter 396, Section 394: Capturing Blake

Chapter 397, Section 394: Capturing Blake

After leaving the castle, Ron headed straight for the lawn where the first-year students used to take flight lessons.

His current behavior is actually quite strange. If Blake could calm down and think about it carefully, he would realize how abnormal Ron's behavior is at this moment.

How could a student who had just been attacked less than a week ago possibly have the guts to sneak out of the castle alone at night?

But Blake had long since stopped caring about all that.

Ron's current actions are making things easier for him. He only wants to kill Peter Pettigrew, and he's willing to risk being captured and sent back to Azkaban, or even dying himself, to achieve this goal!

Blake followed Ron and watched him arrive at a spot that looked no different from the surrounding lawn.

Ron's lips were trembling; he was very nervous, but the more nervous he was, the less he dared to show it.

He extended his wand and gently tapped it on the grass that Lynn had previously shown him. In the next moment, a tunnel entrance, large enough for an adult to enter, was revealed on that patch of land.

Ron took a deep breath, choosing to believe that Lynn and Harry had been following him all along, and then walked into the tunnel.

Blake, who was originally about to take action immediately, also changed his mind.

His remaining rationality told him that if he chose to act now, it would be difficult to guarantee that Ron would not be injured in such narrow terrain.

Black wasn't actually a truly wicked dark wizard, and Ron was Harry's friend.

If anything were to happen to him, his godson would truly hate him for the rest of his life.

So Blake followed him into the tunnel, hanging ten meters behind Ron, quietly following him.

Like the mantis stalking the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind, Lynn, Harry, and Hermione were also following closely behind Black.

But once inside the tunnel, the moonlight outside disappeared, and it was pitch black.

Of the three groups, only Ron, who was walking at the front, could use his wand to illuminate the path without any worries, while Black only needed to keep his distance from the light.

Lynn and his companions were the only ones who couldn't use the Illumination Charm Ron used as a marker; they had to estimate Black's location to avoid running into him at too high a speed.

So, to prevent Hermione and Harry from getting separated, Lynn grabbed one of their hands and led them forward.

They walked for about an hour, and just when everyone except Lynn Black was too tired to lift a foot anymore, Ron finally emerged from the tunnel and came to an open space.

After someone entered, candlelight automatically lit up the stone walls surrounding the treasure site, illuminating the area.

Having reached this point, Blake no longer needed to hide, nor did he have the means to continue hiding. Under Ron's shocked and panicked gaze, he slowly emerged from the shadows.

The black dog transformed into human form before everyone's eyes.

This was a middle-aged male wizard. His haggard face and thin figure could not hide his handsomeness. He had black hair, dark gray eyes, a tall stature, and an unusually fierce gaze.

Black stared intently at Ron, his wand pointed directly at him.

"Hand it over! Hand over your rat!"

A near-roaring sound echoed through the cellar.

Ron was pale and showed no intention of resisting. He frantically pulled the mouse that had been disguised as Spotted from his pocket. It had now turned back into its original form!

Seeing the rat Ron pulled from his pocket, Blake was furious and roared.

"This isn't the one I wanted at all! Where did you hide it?! Where's the mouse with the missing finger?!"

Ron said in a trembling voice, "It got lost, and I haven't been able to find it since."

Blake stared at Ron with his dark green eyes.

"You're lying to me? You used that rat to impersonate him and lure me here!"

He was merely blinded by hatred, not stupid. Once he realized that Scabbers was a fake, Ron's unusual behavior became clear.

"So who's lying in ambush here! An Auror? Dumbledore? McGonagall? Or Snape!"

He held up his wand and looked around when a spell suddenly shot out from an empty spot.

"Disarm you!"

Black is no weakling; if Snape were to fight him, it would probably be a 50/50 match.

Harry's Disarming Charm couldn't catch him off guard, and he easily dodged it with a sidestep.

Harry saw no need to hide any longer, so he chose to trust Lynn, who was backing him up, and stepped out of the Invisibility Cloak.

His eyes were bloodshot and he was breathing heavily, his wand pointing straight at Black!

Upon seeing Harry, Black's ferocious, desperate aura vanished instantly. He stared dumbfounded at the suddenly appearing Harry, never expecting that the one who had ambushed him was Harry Potter!

"I didn't expect you guys to be so bold," he said in a hoarse voice.

"Your dad and I were in the same situation. You two are so brave not to go to the teacher; I'm grateful that it made things much easier!"

Harry could hear the words he had used to mock his father, as if Black had just shouted them out.

Harry's heart was boiling with hatred, so there was no room for fear to linger.

He raised his wand, about to cast another spell on Black, but Black struck first.

"Disarm you!"

Black was far more skilled than Harry in both the speed of his incantation and the gestures of his wand.

Harry had almost no chance to resist, and his wand was disarmed by Black.

"You are indeed bold, but boldness that puts yourself in danger is foolish."

Harry swallowed hard, his heart pounding with anxiety. He watched the "arrogant" Black and kept muttering under his breath.

"Lynn, Lynn, Lynn."

No one answered him, as if Lynn and Hermione were no longer there.

Black, wand in hand, approached Harry step by step. When he was within five meters of Harry, Harry suddenly shouted.

"Lynn!!!"

As if in response to his call, an ant at Blake's feet suddenly transformed into a long, black rope that rose into the air.

The black rope spread up to Blake's body without him noticing, then tightened instantly, binding Blake tightly!
