Chapter 377, Section 374: Lynn's Dream Appears

It's still pouring rain outside.

By this time, the students of Hogwarts had all returned to the castle.

Harry lay on the hospital bed in the infirmary, filled with remorse, with Ron, Hermione, and the Weasley brothers by his side.

He was protected by Professor McGonagall's magic when he fell, but just to be on the safe side, Mrs. Pomfrey took him to the school hospital for a full check-up.

"We lost?"

“Sedwick found the Golden Snitch,” George said. “He didn’t know what was happening when you fell, and he already had the Snitch in his hand. When he looked back and saw you on the ground, he wanted to call a timeout and have another round, but they won fairly… even Wood admits it.”

"Wood's there?" Harry said, realizing then that their team captain wasn't there.

"Still taking a shower," Fried said. "I think someone wants to drown themselves."

Harry buried his face in his knees, clutching his hair with both hands, while Fried grabbed his shoulders and shook him hard.

"It's not your fault, Harry. We were all terrified in that situation. The sky was dark and there were Dementors everywhere. Nobody was paying attention to the game."

He successfully diverted Harry's attention.

"That big tree."

"Yes, we all saw that tree!" Ron exclaimed excitedly. "As soon as it appeared, all the Dementors died, and then...and then we all had a wonderful dream!"

Harry stared at them, wide-eyed.

"Were you dreaming too?"

“Yes, George and I had the same dream,” Fried said, putting his arm around George’s shoulder. George excitedly continued, “We opened our own magical joke shop in Diagon Alley, and wizards from all over the world came to visit. Lynn even became our spokesperson.”

"And you?" Harry asked Ron.

Ron blushed and said, "I dreamt that I became the student council president after Lynn, and I was giving my inaugural speech in the Great Hall. Lynn even personally pinned the Hogwarts president's badge on my clothes."

Harry then turned his gaze to Hermione.

But Hermione's face turned as red as if she'd been scalded, and she absolutely refused to tell them what she'd dreamed about.

"I dreamt that I was having dinner with my family, and strangely enough, Lynn, who is not my family, was also there."

"It's not just us. I asked all the other students at the school, and no matter what they dreamed about, Lynn's image appeared in their dreams without any sense of incongruity." Hermione said this through gritted teeth, as if some of the dreams she had made her very unhappy.

"Why is this happening?" Harry asked, puzzled.

"You don't know?" Hermione and the others looked at him in confusion.

"What do I know?"

"Hmm~ You really shouldn't know, you were already unconscious when Lynn used the magic." Hermione looked at him seriously, "Lynn used the Patronus Charm when the Dementors flew onto the pitch."

"The Patronus Charm?" This was the first time Harry had ever heard of such a spell.

"Yes, it's an extremely powerful and profound defensive magic, especially effective against creatures like Dementors. The big tree we all saw was the guardian spirit summoned by Lynn."

Lynn is not in the castle now.

He didn't even have time to eat lunch before leaving the school.

This wasn't something he volunteered to do; rather, the Ministry of Magic urgently dispatched a specialist to coordinate the Dementor issue.

The reason the Ministry of Magic acted so quickly this time was because the Dementor leader who had blocked Lynn at the gate last time was so frightened by Lynn that he was afraid of being wiped out, so he hurriedly sent someone to the Ministry of Magic for help.

The Dementors that invaded Hogwarts were not the only ones guarding the school this time.

The main problem was that these monsters were too hungry. This wasn't Azkaban, where there was plenty of food for them to eat whenever they wanted. Since the start of the semester, these Dementors had been starving for so long that finally a group of them couldn't take it anymore.

No one can stand working every day without being fed.

However, the leader of the Dementors, deterred by Lynn's presence at the start of the school year, led one group of them to refrain from making a move, but another group couldn't hold back any longer.

They believed that Dumbledore's absence from the castle was a great opportunity, and the school was filled with a joyful atmosphere. They could simply eat their fill and then escape as if nothing had happened.

Since they've already eaten it, can we force them to vomit it up?

As for the student who warned them about the start of the school year

These Dementors didn't believe it. How could a little kid be as terrifying as Dumbledore?

And so, because they didn't believe in evil spirits, they became possessed by them.

The powerful aura of the Guardian Angel spell was so strong that even the Dementors outside the castle walls could sense it.

When Lynn's Patronus took shape, the Dementors outside scattered in terror, wishing they could stay as far away from Hogwarts as possible, not even an inch away.

The leader of the Dementors was terrified. He was afraid that Lynn would kill all the idiots inside and then come back to settle scores with him, so he hurriedly sent someone to the Ministry of Magic to ask for reinforcements.

The reinforcements arrived quickly, but the remaining Dementors refused to follow the Auror from the Ministry of Magic into Hogwarts.

The air that those skeptical compatriots turned into is still floating around the castle and you can still smell it. Even if they starve to death, they will never set foot in this school again.

The Auror had no choice but to go into Hogwarts and ask the person to come out.

If an Auror were unaware of the situation, he might have gone straight to Professor McGonagall while Dumbledore was away from the school, but the Auror who came today happened to be an acquaintance of Lynn's.

Or rather, it was Lynn who instructed him to join the Ministry of Magic's Auror Command, the same person who made a deal with Fudge and would become the future head of the command.

"These Dementors are truly terrified of you, young master. They dare not stay at Hogwarts any longer and have applied to the Ministry of Magic for a transfer. They don't even dare to leave directly. Their leader wants to apologize to you in person and hopes to obtain your forgiveness."

The Auror from the Ministry of Magic was a tall, middle-aged wizard. He was muscular and looked like a perfectly respectable person, but his demeanor and behavior revealed a sleazy nature. He didn't pretend in front of Lynn and subconsciously hunched over, looking like a little old man.

"I'm telling you, Leon, you'd better not take off your disguise at any time. Those Aurors are not simple people. If you're careful, it's not impossible for them to find out your disguise through some clues."
