My Hogwarts has a serious problem.

Chapter 354, Section 351: Opening Ceremony

"In beautiful September, with the sun shining brightly, we gather at Hogwarts Castle in Scotland, in the north of Great Britain, to celebrate the inaugural Magical Athletic Games."

Jordan held the script in his hand, but before he could even finish reading half of it, his face contorted in a grimace, and he simply couldn't continue.

"Who wrote this script? What kind of rubbish is this? I demand to host without a script!"

Flint stared at him expressionlessly.

"This is the script for the opening ceremony, handwritten by Professor Lynn Bellock, the student council president. What? Do you have any objections?"

Immediately, Jordan exclaimed excitedly, as if he were changing his expression in Peking Opera.

"This draft is fantastic! In all my years of studying hosting scripts, I've never seen a more brilliant article! Professor Bellock is truly a man of both literary and martial talents! A genius indeed!"

"Jordan!"

Professor McGonagall called his name loudly from behind, stopping his sycophantic behavior.

"Alright, now the music is starting. First to approach us is a guard of honor consisting of four students from the four houses. They are in high spirits and together they are guarding the flag bearing the four animal emblems of Hogwarts as they march in with neat and powerful steps."

The young wizards sitting in the stands excitedly leaned out to look down into the audience. Quidditch matches used to start immediately without any opening ceremony. This was the first time they had ever seen such a seemingly formal but actually hilarious event.

Jordan held the manuscript in his hand, and the more he read, the more his voice trembled, and goosebumps involuntarily rose all over his body.

To be honest, most people wouldn't be able to read such an embarrassing script without a thicker skin than a city wall.

"The first house to walk towards us was Hufflepuff, who were lucky enough to draw the first lot to enter. Speaking of which, I have to strongly condemn the disciplinary committee chairman, Percy Weasley's, terrible hand! He actually drew Gryffindor for last place! Wouldn't a disciplinary committee chairman rig the draw to give his own house a preferential treatment?!"

"The order of appearance for Slytherin House was also drawn by Professor Belloc himself, and I'm second to last. If there were really any backdoors, would it even be your turn, Gryffindor?" Flint said disdainfully.

Professor McGonagall clenched her fists and angrily warned the two hosts on stage.

"That's enough, you two!"

"Cough cough cough, look! The Hufflepuff students are so dashing! Their steps are firm and powerful, each step representing their determination to win! Leading the way is their house's mascot, the Hufflepuff Badger! This represents the Hufflepuffs' indomitable spirit and friendly optimism, expressing their tenacity and resilience! Hmm, this draft is really good. Ugh! Sorry, I didn't mean to insult Hufflepuffs, it's just that the sausages I had this morning were so greasy they made me feel nauseous."

Just as he was covering his mouth, Flint took the script and spoke. Her voice, though not as cheerful as Jordan's, gave off a calm and professional vibe.

"Alright everyone, forget about that useless male host. I will be hosting for you now."

Following Hufflepuff towards us was Ravenclaw, the house renowned for its intellectual prowess. Ravenclaw students are predominantly female, so their focus in this sports meet was primarily on the girls' events. These girls looked incredibly spirited, as soaring as eagles in the sky! Leading their team was their house mascot, the Ravenclaw eagle. Well, supposedly, Professor Flitwick had custom-made its costume for them; although it was a bit ugly, it represented Professor Flitwick's passionate love for his students. This made me wonder about Slytherin's mascot—would they really come up with a Slytherin snake with two arms and two legs?

The girl revealed her true nature after only a few words. Seeing that Professor McGonagall's gaze was becoming increasingly hostile, she quickly gave a soft snort and regained her "calmness".

However, what she said was indeed correct. Each college's mascot is an animal that represents that college, and they are all mascot costumes that students from each college spontaneously made and wore.

The Hufflepuff badger was alright, since badgers aren't exactly good-looking, but the Ravenclaw eagle is truly ugly.

I don't know if it's Professor Flitwick's aesthetic sense, or if the eagle costume is really hard to make, but that Ravenclaw eagle with its pair of chubby wings just looks ugly no matter how you look at it.

"Ladies and gentlemen! You're not mistaken! The Slytherin wizard athletes are marching towards you! They are tall and handsome! Elegant and beautiful! Oh! And that Slytherin snake floating in the sky! It is so noble, cold-blooded, and proud! It looks just like the real thing."

As soon as the Slytherin phalanx emerged, Flint's voice became intoxicated and full of emotion, a stark contrast to his previous command of the Hufflepuff phalanx. He even added exaggerated descriptive phrases to Lynn's prepared script.

However, Slytherin's image is indeed much better than the previous two houses. The mascot is also made to look very lifelike. It is not a snake that is put on a person to pretend to walk on the road, but is enchanted and flies in the sky.

"Hmph, it's nothing special." Jordan, having recovered, spoke again and took over the hosting duties. As he said this, his gaze happened to meet Lynn in the Slytherin formation.

Lynn was also participating in the games and was now in the Slytherin formation.

"Ah! I mean, it's really good!"

Jordan immediately changed his tune without batting an eye under Flint's disdainful gaze, while simultaneously diverting attention by talking about Gryffindor, who were following Slytherin into the arena.

"The Gryffindor contingent is here! Look at that majestic lion! It symbolizes that Gryffindor's athletes will also strive forward like a lion and achieve great results! To be honest, it's not that I'm biased towards my own house; I genuinely believe Gryffindor will win the Best House award at this Games. I even placed an 8-silver-coats bet with Morrison that Gryffindor will win."

"Jordan! Get off me!"

The opening ceremony of the sports meet came to an end, accompanied by McGonagall's roar, the cheers of the young wizards of Hogwarts, and the Weasley twins from the Gryffindor team throwing two colorful eggs into the sky, which exploded and created a dazzling display of sparks.
