My Hogwarts has a serious problem.

Chapter 248, Section 245: Forbidden Book Zone

"When you need to, you should say: I am the successor!"

After giving Lynn the last piece of information, the door knocker eagle fell silent and said nothing more.

Lynn now has three clues: the item is in the Land of Knowledge, 7 and 8 are his lucky numbers, and under certain circumstances he must utter the password: I am the heir!

Of all these clues, only the password provided by the door knocker seemed like a key to unlock some kind of entrance; the others didn't seem to have anything to do with a cellar or a treasure trove.

However, the clues provided by the door knocker did not simplify Lynn's previous guesses about the place where knowledge was acquired. In other words, if he wanted to find the place built by the fairy, he would have to try and search one place at a time.

Lynn, the man of the House of Requirement, had tried everything over the past five days, but aside from conjuring up a room filled with the numbers 7 and 8, there was nothing special about it.

So the Room of Requirement is out, leaving only the classroom and the library as options.

There aren't many students in each class at Hogwarts, so there are only three classrooms with more than 7 rows and 8 columns, totaling 64 seats. In addition, there are also classes in the library, so Lynn's workload in checking isn't much.

After leaving the Ravenclaw common room, he continued to maintain the Disillusionment Charm on himself in preparation for checking the classrooms first.

Lynn wasn't disappointed after failing to find anything in the first classroom and continued searching the next one.

After spending more than an hour searching three classrooms, they found nothing unusual.

With the classroom ruled out, the only place he could think of was the library. If that wasn't the case either, then Lynn really couldn't guess what this place of knowledge acquisition was.

Under the cover of night, he made his way toward the library, and along the way he ran into Filch's cat, Mrs. Lorris, who was out for a stroll in the middle of the night.

It seemed to enjoy tormenting students just like its master, always liking to wander around the castle at night looking for mischievous night owls, and then wake Filch up to punish them.

However, for Lynn, it would be a laughing stock if he were caught by a cat right now.

He brushed past Mrs. Loris, but the shrewd cat was completely unaware.

The doors to the Hogwarts Library are locked every night by the librarian, Mrs. Pince. However, this lock is just an ordinary lock. In the original books, even Hermione could easily open it with a lock-picking spell when she was in her early years, so it was no challenge for Lynn.

The library was pitch black at night. After entering and closing the door again, Lynn drew his wand and used the Illumination Charm.

The bright light instantly illuminated the empty space around them. This place was usually full of young wizards who came to learn, but now there was only Lynn. In such an environment, a timid person would not dare to stay here for long.

Holding his wand, he started counting from the first row of bookshelves closest to the door, all the way to the seventh row, and then touched the eighth row. There, the bookshelves were filled with spellbooks about spells such as the Expansion Charm, the Copy Charm, and the Charge Charm. Lynn searched through them but found nothing useful, and even the incantation had no effect.

He then searched the seventh row of the eighth row but still found nothing.

This made Lynn's heart sink slightly. If he still didn't find anything in the library, then he would really have lost his way. Judging from the Sorting Hat, even if it knew what this place of knowledge acquisition represented, it wouldn't tell him clearly.

However, he did not give up so easily. Lynn continued to walk to the very back of the library. He could count eight rows from the front, and he could also find the seventh and eighth rows from the back.

He entered the restricted book section starting from the 12th row of bookshelves from the bottom.

Lynn was no stranger to this place. The restricted area was only off-limits to younger wizards. Middle and upper-level students could borrow books from the restricted area with a professor's permission slip. One of the conditions he agreed to Dumbledore's request to impersonate the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor was that he could freely browse all kinds of spellbooks in the library.

The restricted book section is, of course, included.

So even though he was very busy these past few days since the start of the semester, he still made time to browse the forbidden section of the library every day. After all, all the magic that could be called forbidden was exceptionally powerful, and Lynn just happened to have an outstanding talent for dark magic.

He walked all the way to the last row of bookshelves, and then counted from the back to the front until he found the eighth row.

The books here weren't fully displayed; only seven or eight spellbooks were placed together, leaving a large empty space. This was normal in the forbidden section, as knowledge of forbidden subjects was still relatively scarce. According to the relevant classifications, Hogwarts' library already had an astonishing number of bookshelves with twelve shelves. If it were completely filled, the Ministry of Magic would have to worry that Dumbledore might also be heading down the path of the Dark Lord.

Nothing was found on the seventh-to-last row of bookshelves, leaving Lynn with only the eighth-to-last row unchecked.

He first checked the bookshelf in the seventh row of the eighth row from the bottom, just like before, to see if there was anything unusual. After confirming that there was nothing, Lynn quietly read out the password that the door knocker had given him.

"I am the successor."

Lynn's words echoed in the empty, dark library.

However, nothing unusual happened around them, not even the air fluctuated in the slightest.

Lynn shook his head in disappointment. Just as he thought he had come to the wrong place and was about to leave, he suddenly noticed something wrong with the seventh bookshelf!

There seems to be an extra magic book there compared to before!
