My Hogwarts has a serious problem.

Chapter 233. Hermione: I've discovered your secret!

Fiendfyre is undoubtedly a very evil form of dark magic.

Furthermore, the learning threshold for this kind of dark magic is not high. In the original work, even Draco's two foolish henchmen could learn it, so it would be even easier for Lynn.

However, this only means that the learning threshold is not high. Fiendfire is a typical spell that is easy to learn but difficult to master.

The flames of this black magic are very difficult to extinguish; even universal antidotes cannot dispel them. They can burn anything, and once the flames spread, even the caster himself is helpless.

Skilled Fiend spellcasters can effectively control Fiends to their desired form, and can even imbue them with basic intelligence, allowing them to take on animal shapes and launch targeted attacks autonomously.

Since Lynn has decided to start learning, he naturally won't just pursue the simple goal of learning it. He has plenty of time now and enough space in the Room of Requirement to practice, so he naturally wants to master the spell completely.

Lynn stayed in the House of Requirement for almost a week.

On the evening of September 13th, he finally prepared to come out of the Room of Requirement. The reason was simply that he had finished eating all the food he had prepared and needed to go to the Hogwarts kitchen to stock up on some food.

There are now eight days left until the time he agreed with Dumbledore, and four days left until he enters the Chamber of Secrets and discovers the Basilisk has disappeared.

In other words, if Lynn intends to continue hiding in the Room of Requirement, he needs to prepare at least eight days' worth of food.

He had practiced the Fiery Spell to a near-perfect level. He certainly hadn't reached the point of complete mastery of the spell, but at least he could control it freely. If he wanted to make further progress, he would need to accumulate experience day by day.

As Lynn emerged from the House of Requirement, preparing to cast the Disillusionment Charm on himself while pondering whether to continue hiding or venture out to cause trouble, a familiar voice suddenly rang out.

"Lynn?"

Hermione, carrying a large stack of books, happened to walk past the other side of the corner and saw Lynn standing in front of the wall, holding his wand and looking dazed.

Lynn was taken aback when he saw Hermione, then he remembered that he was now in his original appearance, and he blinked.

Hermione.

"What are you doing here?" She walked up to Lynn with her book in her arms, looking him up and down with a strange expression.

"I'm just wandering around here aimlessly now. What about you? Why didn't you go to the auditorium for dinner?" Lynn changed the subject.

"I just finished my Charms class, and Professor Flitwick asked me to borrow some books from the library for him. I'm on my way to deliver them to him now."

"Then you go ahead and get busy, I'm going to have dinner." Lynn regretted that she had been a little careless and should have used the Disillusionment Charm before leaving the Room of Requirement.

However, Hermione was clearly not going to let him off so easily. Holding the large stack of books, she stared at Lynn with a suspicious look and slowly approached him.

"As a gentleman, seeing me carrying so much stuff, don't you intend to help me carry it?"

As Lynn watched Hermione get closer and closer, their noses were less than ten centimeters apart. He couldn't help but panic and take a few steps back. But behind him was the wall of the Room of Requirement, leaving him nowhere to retreat. He could only press his back against the wall and swallow hard, looking at Hermione's long eyelashes so close to his face.

"Or are you afraid that others will see that there are two Lynns in the school?"

Hermione's quiet words suddenly exploded in Lynn's heart like a thunderclap from a clear sky!

He stared at Hermione in disbelief, his hair standing on end, as if he were meeting her for the first time. He was certain that this wasn't a verbal test from Hermione, but rather that she had confirmed the fact that there were two of him at Hogwarts!

"How did you know?"

Hermione smugly hummed twice as she saw Lynn's tacit admission. If she weren't carrying a stack of things, she would have put her hands on her hips.

"When you helped me teach Malfoy a lesson yesterday, I already knew for sure that Lynn, who usually attends classes in your place at school, is actually Umaru, right? And the one who stood up for me and is standing in front of me now is the real you!"

The air suddenly became quiet.

Lynn stared at her, mouth agape, utterly dumbfounded.

Hermione's confidence crumbled at the sight of Lynn's expression, and she looked at him hesitantly.

"Didn't you have Umaru take your place in class while you secretly hid in the castle plotting something? Umaru told me that you have the Disappearance Charm and can become invisible at any time."

Lynn's heart, which had been hanging in suspense because of Hermione's fright, finally settled down like a boulder.

So that's what she discovered.

"That's right, you're right. You're really clever and quick-witted, Hermione. I didn't expect you to figure it out." Lin Enqian smiled to cover up his strange behavior just now. He was really frightened by Hermione and thought that this beaver had become a spirit.

"How did you figure that out?"

"Xiao Mai's acting is so bad. We've known each other for three or four years. How could I not even be able to tell the difference?"

Hermione put the thick stack of books on the ground and sat down on the steps with Lynn.

"You're definitely up to some wicked scheme again, just like last semester, which is why you had Umaru impersonate you."

"How could you call that a crooked idea? Maybe I'm working hard to save Hogwarts right now." Lynn hadn't had a proper chat with Hermione since school started. Now that he had some free time, Hermione mistook him for the current Lynn, so the two of them could chat at this moment.

Hermione turned and punched Lynn on the shoulder, snorting.

"You're always bullying me. Before we even came to Hogwarts, you lied to me and said it was some kind of evil organization. I only believe half of what you say."

Lynn shrugged helplessly.

As everyone saw, he didn't lie to Hermione this time; he told the truth, but she herself didn't believe it.

"You're really that comfortable letting Umaru impersonate you? I think not only me, but anyone who knows you even slightly would have some doubts."

"It's alright. I never intended to keep it from you anyway. Now that you know, you know. Just don't tell anyone else about it."

"So, Mr. Belloc, who's been working so hard to save Hogwarts, could you tell me what you've been up to all this time hiding in the castle?"

Lynn didn't answer Hermione's question immediately; he was staring at Hermione, his face propped up by one hand.

The girl's cheeks flushed slightly as he stared at her for a while.

Is there something on my face?

"No, I was thinking you might be able to do me a favor, Hermione."

Lynn suddenly said with a serious expression.
