My Hogwarts has a serious problem.

Chapter 208, Section 206: Tom's Diary

Chapter 209, Section 206: Tom's Diary

Little Umaru kept turning into human form. After she went out with Lynn, she automatically regarded Lynn as her "mount" and turned into a hamster, perched on his shoulder and wandering around Diagon Alley with him.

After Lynn and Hermione finished buying the parchment and ink they needed, they saw Harry and Ron teasing Percy about a book he was reading in a secondhand shop across the street, which made Percy snort and glare at them.

They gathered together again on the streets of Diagon Alley.

"Percy has always had lofty ambitions," Ron secretly told them. "He wants to be Minister for Magic someday."

Meanwhile, at a magic joke shop, they run into the Weasley twins and their friend Lee Jordan, who are buying a lot of prank fireworks.

After wandering aimlessly around Diagon Alley for an hour, they headed towards Flourish and Blotts to meet up with Mrs. Weasley and the others.

There were many people outside Flourish and Blotts bookstore, waiting in line to get in. A large banner hung outside that read:

Gilderoy Lockhart will be selling his autobiography, "I Am Magical," signed today from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Hermione grabbed Lynn's arm excitedly: "I'm going to meet him in person for the first time! His books are all on the Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook at Hogwarts. We can ask him in person if he's coming to Hogwarts as a professor this semester."

"Being a professor, especially a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, isn't a good thing," Lynn muttered under his breath. Then they joined the last person in line, where the Weasleys and Grangers were also there.

The crowd seemed to consist mostly of witches of Mrs. Weasley's age, holding up various autobiographies written by Lockhart and constantly craning their necks to peer into the bookstore. A bookstore clerk looked exhausted as he maintained order outside the crowd.

Mrs. Weasley looked very nervous; everyone could tell that even her breathing had become rapid.

"We'll see him soon."

Harry and Ron pursed their lips, unimpressed by Mrs. Weasley's excitement. Hermione, on the other hand, was chattering away with Mrs. Weasley about Lockhart's autobiography. Mr. Weasley, as if he hadn't had enough of chatting with the Grangers in the pub, was still pressing them about the difference between gasoline and diesel engines.

Instead of paying attention to the bookstore, Lynn stood at the very end of the line, looking out over the streets of Diagon Alley. He soon spotted his target.

It was Lucius Malfoy and his son Draco Malfoy.

They had just entered a crucible shop not far from Flourish and Blotts, as if they were preparing to buy a new crucible for Malfoy.

Clearly, their next stop was Flourish and Blotts; they needed to come here to buy this year's Hogwarts textbooks.

A barely perceptible smile appeared on Lynn's face.

The long queue eventually came to an end. The number of people in front of Lynn and his group decreased, and they were finally able to see Lockhart in the distance.

His posters were everywhere, each one showing Lockhart winking and smiling at the crowd, while Lockhart himself sat at a table signing books for his fans.

However, if someone familiar with Lockhart were to observe closely, they would notice that Lockhart seemed a little off today.

His smile was far less greasy than it appeared on the poster; instead, it seemed somewhat sleazy. Despite being quite young, he never straightened his back; it was always slightly hunched.

However, Lockhart rarely interacts with people in his daily life, and most people know him from his books. There are so many enthusiastic fans here, but none of them noticed anything unusual about Lockhart.

"That's amazing."

A reporter who was taking pictures of Lockhart stepped on Ron's foot, prompting him to complain.

Lockhart, who was in front, heard the commotion and looked up.

Ignoring the others, he first exchanged a subtle glance with Lynn, then turned his gaze to Harry Potter, and immediately jumped up from his chair in delight.

"Isn't this Harry Potter?"

Lockhart pulled Harry to his side and had the Daily Prophet's reporters take a group photo of them. It was clear that Harry was very uncomfortable with so many people watching.

Just as Lockhart put his arm around Harry's shoulder and announced that he would be the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts this year, Hermione looked at Lockhart with suspicion, then turned to look at Lynn.

Lynn blinked at her: "What's wrong?"

"Have you met Lockhart before?"

"Of course not," Lynn denied quite naturally. "If I knew him, why wouldn't I tell you?"

Hermione nodded. "That's true."

Seeing that Hermione seemed to have no more questions, Lynn quietly breathed a sigh of relief.

This little girl is so alert; no wonder she was able to take over the mess that was the British Ministry of Magic. Her meticulousness is something most people can't match.

Of course, it's also Lockhart's fault for not paying attention. Why was he looking at him when he had nothing better to do?

Lockhart and Harry had finished taking the last set of photos, and Lockhart gave Harry a complete set of his own works before letting him go.

The flash of the camera had just blinded Harry, making him dizzy. Back at the Weasleys' house, he dumped all the books Lockhart had given him into Ginny's new cauldron.

"I'll give all of these to you, and I'll buy more myself," he said vaguely.

"You must really like this, Potter."

At that moment, the Malfoys entered the bookstore, Draco started arguing with Harry, and Lucius began to mock Arthur.

"Weasley".

"Malfoy!"

Their conflict quickly escalated, and Arthur and Lucius started fighting right there in the bookstore!

George and Fried cheered on their father from the sidelines, while Lynn looked at them speechlessly.

"Hey, why aren't you guys helping your dad rush up and beat him up? Do you think cheering him on will make Mr. Weasley unleash his full power and smash Malfoy's head in one punch?"

Only then did the twins realize what was happening and rushed in to join the battle.

Ron and Harry wanted to follow, but Lynn stopped them.

"Keep an eye on Draco. You can't get involved in this kind of adult fighting."

Compared to the Malfoys, the Weasleys have neither money nor power; their biggest advantage is their large numbers, and now is the perfect time to leverage that advantage.

After George and Fried joined the battle, the situation became completely one-sided.

The Weasley twins each grabbed Lucius's arms, while Arthur grabbed his hair with one hand and punched him hard in the face.

Then, before Arthur could make a second move, a pair of large hands grabbed his waist and separated him from Lucius.

"This is a public place, please be mindful of the men's privacy," Hagrid said after separating the two of them.

Arthur didn't suffer any major loss; he was just punched in the lip by Lucius before George and Fried came to his aid, and the skin there was slightly broken.

Lucius looked quite disheveled. Arthur's punch had hit him hard, and half of his face was swollen. He was still holding the old textbook he had taken from Ginny to humiliate Arthur. His eyes gleamed with malice as he shoved the textbook back into Ginny's arms.

"Little girl, take your book. This is the best thing your father can give you!" He beckoned to Draco, and the two rushed out of the store.

The scene inside the bookstore was still somewhat chaotic.

Lockhart is trying his best to act like his true self, jumping around and getting the Daily Prophet reporters to take pictures of him and Arthur, who has just been fighting. Hagrid is helping Arthur straighten his robes and advising him not to bother with such people, while Mrs. Weasley is pulling the twins' ears and scolding them for getting involved.

Just then, Lynn breathed a sigh of relief, then walked up to Ginny with a relaxed smile and took out the "Beginner's Guide to Metamorphosis" that he had prepared beforehand and used in his first year.

"Could I trade you my book? I don't know if Fried and the others have told you, but I did pretty well at Hogwarts, and I have a lot of useful notes in this book."

Ginny, who was about to comfort her father and brother, found Lynn's actions a bit strange, but she didn't refuse Lynn's request. It was just a matter of exchanging textbooks. She had heard her twin brothers mention it at home, and even Harry had said in casual conversation that Lynn was a true academic genius at school.

Ginny handed Lynn the "Beginner's Guide to Transformation" that Lucius had just taken from her. Lynn took it, casually flipped through the contents, and then nonchalantly put it in his pocket.

After this incident, no one was in the mood to continue shopping. The Weasleys took Harry away using Floo Powder, while the Grangers, who were quite frightened by what they had just witnessed, left Diagon Alley with Lynn and Hermione and returned to their car.

"This is absolutely terrible!" Lady Granger's voice trembled with anger. "I never imagined there could be such despicable people in the wizarding world."

Lynn was in a good mood after achieving his goal for the day. He comforted her, saying, "Don't worry about Madam. There will be bad apples everywhere, especially in a closed-minded place like the magic world."

Hermione had witnessed Lynn and Ginny exchanging books, and she felt something was off about today, as if everything had been arranged beforehand.

Why did you exchange textbooks with Ginny at the bookstore?

Hermione asked questions without holding anything back.

Clearly, Lynn was not going to tell her the truth.

"It's nothing, I just wanted to help the Weasleys. Anyway, I don't need that textbook anymore, so I thought I'd trade it with her."

"Then why not just give it to her instead of exchanging it?"

"That would give people the feeling of charity. Sometimes, even if you want what's best for others, you should still be considerate of their feelings."

Mrs. Granger interrupted their conversation, praising, "Lynn is absolutely right, and he's very thoughtful. Hermione, you should learn from him."

"Okay~" she said, drawing out the last syllable, because she felt that Lynn was acting a little strange today.

Mr. Granger parked his car in front of Lynn's house and helped carry Lynn's belongings inside before leaving.

As soon as Lynn entered the house, he saw a hunchbacked, skinny old man with a somewhat lewd smile sitting on his sofa drinking tea.

As soon as Leon saw Lynn, he immediately stood up and said, "You're back."

"Your performance today was quite good. It's kind of you to come all this way." Lynn did not become arrogant because of the respectful attitude of the saints towards him.

Leon was not as unreliable in front of Lynn as he was in front of Simon and Smith. This was not only because Lynn was a descendant of Grindelwald. After the Abrose unsealing incident, he seemed to see the shadow of Grindelwald in Lynn. He couldn't help but use the same respect he had shown to the Dark Lord in the past on Lynn.

"There's no hardship involved. This situation was caused by my own fault, so it's only right that I take responsibility."

Having spent a long time with Grindelwald, Leon knew very well what questions he should ask and what questions he shouldn't ask.

Regarding Lynn's request for him to impersonate Lockhart for a book signing, Leon didn't ask any further questions. After greeting Lynn at his house, he used Apparition to leave.

As soon as Xiaomai got home, she jumped up and down on the sofa, complaining of being tired. Lin En grabbed her by the back of her collar and moved her aside to make room for her to sit down.

"You only went to the fields once today, what are you complaining about being tired for?"

As Lynn spoke, she tidied up the things she had sold in Diagon Alley.

"You walk so wobbly, it's tiring for me to hold onto your clothes so I don't fall off," Umaru explained.

"If you feel tired, go upstairs and read through the encyclopedia your sister Hermione gave you. When your mind is tired, your body won't feel tired anymore."

Upon hearing this, Umaru immediately sat up straight.

"I'm not tired now."

Lynn didn't continue fooling around with her. Instead, he packed his things and prepared to go back to his room. Before leaving, he gave Xiaomai some instructions.

"You can't stay up too late on TV today. If I find you sneaking up to watch TV in the middle of the night, I'll punish you by making you copy that encyclopedia. You can only watch TV when you've finished copying it."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Mai turned pale with fright and waved her hand to assure him.

"No, no, I promise I won't peek at the TV anymore!"

"You said it, and I heard you."

Lynn returned to her bedroom, put away the textbooks and stationery she had bought, and then sat down at her desk. She took out the "Beginner's Guide to Metamorphosis" that she had traded with Ginny from her pocket.

The cover is the same as the textbook cover, but if you open it to look inside, you'll find it's completely blank, with no words at all.

Although there were no words on it, Lynn was absolutely certain that this was one of Voldemort's Horcruxes, Tom's Diary.

I have a bit of a headache today. If I force myself to write another long chapter, I can't guarantee the quality. I'll stop here for today and update two more long chapters tomorrow.
