My Hogwarts has a serious problem.

Chapter 145, Section 142: Tom's Capture Plan (Part 3)

The nights at Hogwarts always appear to be very quiet.

But in reality, countless demons and monsters are lurking in the shadows.

Inside the castle, a figure dressed in a black robe moved silently down the corridor, eventually arriving at the main door on the first floor and stealthily leaving the castle.

He carefully entered the Forbidden Forest from a location far from Hagrid's hut, and then disappeared into the vast woods.

All of this seemed to go unnoticed by anyone, except for a crow perched quietly on a branch, who witnessed his entire action.

After the man in black robes entered the forbidden forest, crows took flight and followed him, disappearing into the night.

Lynn hid among the dense branches, observing Quirrell's every move in the Forbidden Forest.

He seemed to have already set a goal in his mind. After entering the forbidden forest, he walked very fast in one direction. He walked around for more than an hour, and finally came to a lake.

The lake wasn't large, but it was already teeming with a group of extremely rare magical creatures—unicorns.

Unicorns can be identified by their fur. Golden fur indicates they are juveniles, while silver fur indicates they are between two and seven years old. They start growing horns around the age of four, and their fur turns completely white when they reach full adulthood at seven.

This unicorn herd appears to be quite large, consisting mostly of cubs with golden and silver fur, all surrounded by adult unicorns.

Quirrell looked like a seasoned hunter, hiding himself behind a large tree.

It took him three nights to figure out the survival habits of the unicorns in the Forbidden Forest. He had tried to catch them two days ago, but failed.

Although unicorns do not possess magic, they have extremely high magic resistance and move very quickly. Quirrell's death curse was completely inaccurate and could not hit them at all. Instead, several adult unicorns chased them all over the Forbidden Forest.

After learning from his mistakes, he spent two days recuperating in the castle, and this time he was finally ready to make his move with full confidence.

Quirrell waited patiently. After the unicorns finished drinking, some of them gathered together to return to their camp, while a small number of unicorns separated from the main group.

Unicorns are a group of very intelligent magical creatures. Their living habits are not all the same. Some choose to live in groups, while others choose to live independently outside of their own kind.

This group drinking water was mainly due to the attack by Quirrell two days ago, which alerted them and caused the solitary unicorns to instinctively band together with their pack.

But they always have to separate eventually.

Quirrell was like a lone wolf that had chosen its prey, hanging far behind the unicorn herd.

Watching one unicorn after another break away from the herd, he finally chose his target.

It was a unicorn in its developmental stage with entirely silver-white fur.

While young unicorns with golden fur are easier to capture, they are too young and their blood contains too little magical power to meet the Dark Lord's requirements.

However, capturing adult unicorns is too difficult. These solitary adult unicorns are seasoned veterans in the Forbidden Forest and know the terrain much better than Quirrell. The reason he failed last time was because he was far less familiar with the environment of the Forbidden Forest than Quirrell when chasing them, and ended up being surrounded instead.

So now Quirrell has chosen a different target.

Even if a unicorn in its developmental stage lives alone, it has only recently left its pack. Just like college graduates entering society, they are not yet familiar with society and are easily deceived.

The unicorn that Quirrell had its eyes on was completely unaware of the impending danger. After breaking away from the main group, it was like a happy alpaca, hopping and skipping along, kicking its hooves at grass and flowers, almost as if it were about to lift its hind leg and urinate under a tree.

Just as the atmosphere in the forbidden forest was peaceful and serene, a dazzling light suddenly shone!

Just like the first firework exploding in the night sky, several more explosions followed!

Without warning or warning, the unicorn, despite its quick reflexes and best efforts to dodge, was still injured in its hind limbs by the explosion.

It fell to the ground, silver blood splattering from its body, and a helpless wail escaped its mouth!

Quirrell emerged from behind the tree, indifferent and numb, showing no pity whatsoever for the tragic scene.

He was breathing heavily; the continuous use of the Silent Explosion Spell had taken a toll on his stamina, but the effect was also very obvious: he had successfully captured a live unicorn.

Without hesitation, Quirrell prepared to use the Killing Curse on the unicorn lying on the ground howling, to kill it completely.

Avada

Before he could finish his incantation, the ground suddenly began to tremble violently.

The thunderous sound of hooves pounding the ground interrupted Quirrell's spellcasting, and a group of centaurs charged towards them, spears in hand and bows and arrows in hand!

It was only then that Quirrell realized he was too close to the centaurs' territory, and that he had just used a very loud Explosion Charm, which must have attracted the centaurs' attention.

He glared hatefully at the unicorn lying on the ground, its chest heaving, and the pool of silver blood beneath it, before finally turning and fleeing.

You can still kill the unicorn, but if he gets caught, then it's all over.

The centaurs quickly rushed to the location of the wounded unicorn. A small number of them stayed behind, while the majority began hunting Quirrell in the Forbidden Forest.

The centaur leading the group was still Ferenze. He bent down to examine the unicorn lying on the ground and finally shook his head at his fellow centaurs.

"He lost too much blood, and the wound was too large; he can't be saved."

Not long after he finished speaking, the unicorn's breathing began to slow down, pure tears streamed from the corners of its eyes, and eventually its eyes gradually lost their luster.

The surrounding horsemen watched silently as this pure life passed away before their eyes, the atmosphere inexplicably oppressive.

A centaur with red hair and beard, and a shiny, brownish-red body below the waist, suddenly punched the tree trunk beside him.

"It was all the wizards' doing! We're storming Hogwarts now! We'll threaten them to hand over the killer!"

"Don't act rashly, Ronan," Ferenczer advised his people. "We need to tell Hagrid about this first."

Just as they were talking, a crow took flight from a tree branch and flew out of the forbidden forest.

Lynn confirmed that everything went smoothly tonight, just like in the original story. Quirrell killed a unicorn, but he did not drink its blood.

And the next time he enters the Forbidden Forest will be the opportunity Lynn has been waiting for!
