My Hogwarts has a serious problem.

132. A deal that should never have happened.

The green flames were flickering.

With his face hidden under his hood, Quirrell's voice also changed, becoming higher and shriller.

"Your price is too high."

The hunchbacked old man looked very impatient.

"Is 30,000 Galleons really a lot? This stuff is different from the others."

Quirrell's voice was almost flat, as if he were reciting a script.

"I have never heard of any case where consuming the blood of a unicorn voluntarily offered by the unicorn could avert its original curse. You cannot provide me with evidence, nor can you verify what you are saying, so why should I spend money far exceeding the market price to buy something whose authenticity is unknown?"

"Then you don't have to buy it at all," the hunchbacked old man said without any hesitation.

"You're not the only one who wants this vial of blood I have right now. I've only talked to you for so long because I see you're genuinely interested. But if you keep dragging this out, I can't guarantee that this vial of blood will still be in my hands tomorrow."

Quirrell remained silent for a while, it was unclear whether he was thinking to himself or communicating with his master.

After a moment, he spoke as if he had given in.

"The location for the transaction is still the same as before, the Hog's Head in Hogsmeade, and you can choose the time."

A smile appeared on the ugly face of the hunchbacked old man.

"Then I will depart for Hogsmeade now, and the transaction will be held three days from now, at dusk. I have come with sufficient sincerity, and I also hope that our transaction will proceed without any unexpected issues."

"As long as the product matches your description of its function, no bad accidents will happen."

"I hope so."

Their conversation ended, the green flames gradually died down, and the empty classroom returned to darkness.

Lynn witnessed the entire conversation, and after confirming that it was over, he did not linger, but gently flapped his wings and flew out of the castle.

He carried his wand and flew all the way to the door of the Slytherin common room before transforming back into human form.

Blood is thicker than water.

He gave the password for the day and hurriedly returned to his dormitory.

Lynn was soaking wet. Although he had used a waterproof charm on himself before leaving, the charm no longer worked after he turned into a raven.

However, Lynn was not in the mood to take another shower. He changed out of his wet clothes, dried himself off quickly, and lay down on the bed, thinking about the conversation he had just witnessed.

From the conversation, it is quite clear that Quirrell, or rather Voldemort, intends to purchase a vial of unicorn blood through unofficial channels.

Lynn, who had read the original book, might not remember some details clearly, but he remembered some important things very well.

Before Voldemort officially began stealing the Philosopher's Stone, he did indeed choose to prolong his life with unicorn blood.

But he didn't buy it; instead, he sneaked into the Forbidden Forest, killed a live unicorn, and drank the fresh unicorn on the spot.

Now, with Lynn witnessing it firsthand, the plot has clearly deviated from its original course.

He didn't even know why such a deviation occurred.

Lynn doesn't actually mind if future events deviate from the original story, because his plan is to solve everything once and for all, hoping to have a grand finale when Harry Potter is in his first year.

But the premise is that the plot must still follow the original story before his plan is officially implemented. He has to wait, until Voldemort is at his weakest and most impatient, and until he himself is most confident, before he can make his move.

However, Voldemort has suddenly changed his mind; he no longer intends to exploit Hogwarts to bleed the blood of the unicorns in the Forbidden Forest.

The mighty Dark Lord, instead of stealing or cheating, had to humbly buy it with money!

Lying in bed, Lynn tried his best to recall every detail of the conversation between Quirrell and the hunchbacked old man.

There is another crucial piece of information.

During their conversation, the bottle of unicorn blood seemed unusual. Quirrell said that it was blood given by the unicorn willingly, unlike blood obtained by violent killing. Blood obtained in this way might not inflict a curse on the consumer.

It's just a possibility, because Lynn doesn't know if it's really true either. Not only Lynn, but even Voldemort, the buyer, doesn't seem to know if it's true or not.

So that's what made Voldemort interested?

A bottle might not be cursed, but perfect unicorn blood is certainly enough to tempt Voldemort in his current crippled state.

But the key question is whether what happened tonight actually occurred in the original story?

If this happened, it means that something went wrong during the deal, and Voldemort was forced to risk entering the Forbidden Forest to kill a live unicorn to save his life.

However, if this transaction never occurred in the original story, it means that Lynn's arrival created a butterfly effect, giving Voldemort another option.

If tonight's script continues to unfold, and their transaction goes smoothly three days from now, whether Voldemort swallows his pride and actually pays for it, or the Dark Lord ruthlessly double-crosses and steals it, it will be a different story.

The bottle of blood eventually ended up in his hands. Regardless of whether the curse truly existed, as long as Voldemort drank it, he would definitely regain some of his strength ahead of time.

With this situation arising, the opportunity that Lynn had been waiting for was gone. Even if he wanted to forcefully implement the initial plan, it would increase the uncertainty by a great deal, which would be too dangerous.

In this plan, he not only had to ensure his own safety, but also the safety of Cedric and Ian.

Lynn tossed and turned in bed all night, unable to sleep.

After a night of reflection, he figured something out.

We can't just sit and wait to die; we have to verify whether this deal really happened because of him.

If his appearance really caused this change of events, then he must find a way to sabotage this deal!
