My Hogwarts has a serious problem.
115. This is motherly love.
This year's Christmas Eve at Hogwarts was as grand as ever.
Early on, the professors decorated the auditorium to create a festive atmosphere.
Quite a few people stayed to celebrate this year. Besides Lynn and his two friends, all four Weasley brothers also stayed, as well as Harry and others.
A group of students who hadn't gone home, along with several professors who were still elderly and living alone, almost filled a long table.
Harry and Ron munched on their turkey while giving Lynn a sour look as he chatted with Cedric and the others.
They were looking at the beautiful scarf around Lynn's neck.
Two weeks before Christmas, they discovered that Hermione was secretly knitting the scarf.
Harry and Ron were arguing about who she should give the scarf to, but they both agreed that it was Hermione who knitted it for her father.
This morning, when they were opening their presents, Hermione gave Harry a large chocolate bar and Ron a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, and they were quite happy, thinking they had guessed correctly.
However, after seeing Lynn in the auditorium, they realized they were terribly wrong.
"I remember a few days before the holidays, I overheard Hermione secretly calling Lynn a jerk," Harry muttered to himself, chewing his chicken listlessly.
Ron's mouth was also covered in oil from eating.
"I heard Fred and George say that girls seem to like jerk guys."
"You mean Hermione likes Lynn!"
"It's obvious, isn't it? They just haven't realized it yet."
"Hermione is usually very nice to us. She helps us with our homework and encourages us to eat more so we can grow taller. Last time, she even noticed that I had grown a little taller than when school started and told me to buy clothes a size larger so they would last longer. This Christmas, she even gave us candy. How is that any different from how she treats Lynn?"
Ron looked at Harry with a serious expression, but the grease on his face made the scene look somewhat comical.
"Harry, I didn't mean to bring up your painful memories, but you've never lived with your parents since you were little, so you can't understand how Hermione treats us."
Harry looked completely bewildered.
"Like what?"
"Like Mom."
……
After Christmas, Lynn did not take advantage of the holiday to relax.
He's actually getting busier and busier.
The day after Christmas, he summoned Cedric and Ian to the empty classroom they usually practiced in.
"You are all basically proficient in using the Soul Sealing Spell, so we can move on to the next step."
Lynn placed a large stack of parchment on the desk; these were all research papers for the improved Soul Seal Spell.
Cedric and Ian exchanged a glance; they still didn't know what Lynn's intentions were.
Lynn seemed to suddenly remember something, and his expression turned excited.
"Before you officially begin to complete this spell, you must choose a resounding and powerful slogan for yourselves!"
Cedric couldn't help but ask.
"How do you pronounce the incantation for that spell?"
Lynn waved.
"Once you can use the Soul Sealing Spell skillfully, the guidance of the incantation will fall on me. You only need to remember the emotion when using the Soul Sealing Spell, and then maximize that emotion. Therefore, a powerful slogan is very important."
Ian complained.
"I think it's very impressive to say nothing."
Lynn refused outright.
"How can that be? I've carefully selected some powerful slogans for you. Come on, let's get ready for our first try."
As he spoke, Lynn put on the title "Slytherin's finest kid".
The double learning efficiency in this title is quite useful, especially when testing the improved version of the Soul Sealing Spell for the first time, as it allows you to find its problems and make improvements more quickly.
As for the negative effects of the title...
There were only the three of them in the classroom, and it was the Christmas holiday, so there were hardly any young wizards at Hogwarts. It was unlikely that an accident like Raphael's would happen again.
Lynn looked at Ian and Cedric, rubbing his hands together as he asked.
"Which do you prefer: millet, roasted yam, cornbread, or spinach?"
……
Harry and Ron had just finished lunch and were strolling around the castle.
"The more I think about it, the angrier I get! You actually abandoned me last night and went on a nighttime stroll through Hogwarts!" Ron said angrily.
Harry received an invisibility cloak from an unknown person at Christmas, and just yesterday, on the night after the Christmas dinner, he discovered the cloak's amazing uses.
With it, the castle of Hogwarts was essentially completely open to him.
So last night he took a nighttime stroll, and although there were some close calls that alerted Filch, he didn't catch him, and Harry also discovered a magical mirror.
He could see his family in that mirror!
Harry stared at the mirror all night, and even into the daytime, he couldn't stop thinking about it. Tonight, he decided to go find the mirror again.
"You were already asleep yesterday, and I didn't think it would be good to wake you up. I originally just wanted to look for clues about Nicolas Flamel in the restricted book section. Finding that mirror was a complete accident."
As they chatted, they unknowingly walked to the corridor on the fifth floor of the castle.
Suddenly, a familiar voice came from an empty classroom next door, attracting their attention.
"No, Ian, you need to add 'hehe' to the end of that sentence to make it sound more imposing!"
Harry and Ron immediately exchanged a glance.
They recognized the voice; it was Lynn's.
Then, they all tacitly lowered their footsteps and peeked into the empty classroom through the crack in the door.
Lynn was standing in front of a cold-faced, white-haired boy, seemingly instructing him on some kind of spell.
Harry and the others only vaguely knew that the boy was from Ravenclaw, that he was close to Lynn, and that his name sounded like Ian from the way he was addressed earlier.
He seemed to find Lynn's request difficult.
"I think this voice is eerie and doesn't sound powerful at all."
Lynn earnestly advised him.
"That's because you didn't read the whole sentence. Once you read it in full, you'll see its power."
Ian still felt ashamed.
"Can I switch with Cedric?"
"It's all the same. You don't understand what this sentence means anyway. Come on, say it once, and you'll know its charm after saying it once."
Lynn's voice was like the devil's seductive whisper.
Ian couldn't out-talk him, and in the end could only shout out the slogan Lynn had just taught him with a blank expression.
